Morning all

Hope you are all well. I'm trying to spend some time with DH in an evening so I'm only managing to get on here once a day usually and but all seems to be generally well here so that is good.

Lots to do today - had a serious talk with DH last night - I'm scared as I feel like my depression from last year is coming back and I need to stop it in its traks before it takes over my world like last time. I don't think DH was aware or knows what to do. I don't know what I want him to do but just to be aware of whats happening. I've decided therefore to stop going into school. I've been going in since September so have plenty of experience ready for my course start in Sept but I think the juggling that I am currently doing is causing me to feel so anxious all the time. I've rang and let them know I'm not coming in and written a letter to thank them etc. I just need to make my time productive now as I'm feeling that low that sometimes I hang about on here all day not knowing what to do with myself.

So far today I have

  • Contacted school and written letter
  • Made a few notes for sign language class tonight
  • had a 30 minute session on new treadmill and a 10 minute play on new bike
DD to GPs

To Do

  • Shower
  • Lunch
  • More notes
  • Washing to dry and more to wash
  • Sort out rest of clothes to put away
  • Shopping
  • To sign language class tonight

I've arranged to go out tomorrow night with my sister to watch a film so that should be a nice break but other than that I need to work out whats going on and why.

Sorry really self-indulgent post. Off for a shower.

OverflowingMum · 21/04/2010 13:19

afternoon all

MC sorry to hear you're feeling low. Sounds like a good decision about school. Make sure you take the time to look after yourself.

wendy Hang in there. It will all be worth it in the end

dyls sorry about your sisters

everyone-else Hi!

Not having the best afternoon.DS2 is justa nightmare at the moment...and is driving me mad....just normal 2 year old stuff...but boy does he wear me out. Anyway, think I may have pursuaded him to have anap(quiet so far )so I'm having a quick cuppa

Have spent most of the morning either playing with dd4 and ds2, walking thedog or rebooting and sorting washing...
I have however discovered that my laundry basket actually has bottom, and my utility room has a floor LOL

Dinner is half sorted...Spag Bol...
Need To Do:

Tidy girls bedroom
Hang pile of my clothes up
Hang out final load of washing
Dead head and tie up daffodills in front garden
Sort clothes for DD2 for cubs (she's going to try it out...)
Tidy and hoover lounge.
Sign forms for school, stop at bank on way home for cash for milk money and school trip

Right....should go...but I am sooo thankful DS has gone to sleep I'm too scared to move around incase I wake him up LOL

BB tomorrow

Hi all.

MC Sorry your feeling down, but good that you have noticed and are taking steps to tackle it. I agree that having lots of places to be at different times of the day does make you feel anxious (always checking your watch).

wendy hope you're ok

Every one seems busy.

Back from school (via ice cream van), hung out washing need to get ready for rainbows/beavers. Am plucking up the courage to tell beavers leader that I'm not going to help antmore as 2 other mums have started helping too so not that much to do and I fear I am cramping DS style .

MC Sorry you're down. If you want to meet up for a coffee we are not far away from each other! I would welcome the company too! I think you are doing the right thing downsizing school and your commitments but don't get isolated at the same time. Have you got close friends you can call on? I find it difficult to ask for help from friends but they are usually ready and willing when i do ask.
scatty hi
OFM I hope it will be worth it! LOL You sound busy as usual. Thought of you the other day when we were at Roche Abbey again. Still not met up - mind you I don't know how you'd fit it into your life!

Evening all

wendy yes it WILL be worth it ... hope you are soon all blooming and glowing (although thatstage also seemed to totally pass meby scatty LOL)

BAD evening here. I dropped dd2 off to try out cubs (DS has been going for years,is now a scout, DD wanted to try, but was the only girl there so a bit unsure)
Went to walk dog, was only gone 1/2 hour, returned to find dh had had to go and collect dd2 as she had wet herself she was too scared to ask where the toilet was . She is SO totally upset and mortified.Think it will have put her off...am hoping I can pursuade her to go back next week...thin she would enjoy it if I could....

Amnowsipping a Baileys (DH won abottle at work) then going to bed V early

Nuttybear · 22/04/2010 12:09

Quick break. OFM I have gone half way tea and a pear
I have started a flaming thread but shouldn't have as I don't have time to sit on MN Oh! I have to let those with wider bums than mine get on with it.
It is amazing how long it takes me to clean under the bed! I brought a hand-held vacuum contraption that I couldn't put back together after I cleaned the filter
On the plus side window cleaner put it back together nice man &I have found my 'Gardening with children' book by Kim Wilde that I have lost for two years

Makingchanges · 22/04/2010 13:31

I have no bucket, sponge or car shampoo to wash my car - well I have but I suspect its under the rubbish that DH was supposed to take to the tip and hasn't and there is too much to shift - Grrrr

However my chilli is bubbling nicely on the cooker

Right best sort basket of clothes out instead

scattyspice · 22/04/2010 16:19

Hi all.

Had a bit of a meltdown on the way home from school . Usual situation, dd hanging back to walk with her friend and ds rushing ahead to catch up with his friends and loosing his temper when I ask him to wait. But why does everyone else have to chip in when you are trying to deal with your kids!!

Off to cheercats.

OP posts:
Nuttybear · 22/04/2010 17:05

So far..
Hang washing done
make beds done
try uniform done can't find my belt!
Wash cravat Done
Clean under bed So Done
Clean behind stairs to the loft done
Sort out major storage done
Pay the rest the money for hols done
Dry cleaners done
Food shopping done
As usual changed my mind re tea stir-fry & fish pie tommorow.
Scatty I really dislike that too. I hold my tongue no matter what (unless I have a lawful duty..etc..) (maybe vent later on MN. Don't lose friends in RL that way
MC That annoying You'll have to get him to do both jobs now. Right off to make tea

scattyspice · 22/04/2010 17:57

I don't believe it. Just got back from taking dd to cheercats when they phoned to ask me to fetch her as she'd wet her knickers! Pesky kids!

OP posts:
OverflowingMum · 22/04/2010 18:17

scatty oh No!!! must be something in the air. Poor dd,hope she's not too upset

Things were going well here till DH came in unexpectedly early...seems to have thrown everything into confusion...and we've had a big row....
DS2 being a nightmare
DD3 being challenging
DD1 being a total stroppy pre-teenager

...deep breath....

need to finish tidying up...homeowrk still to tackle...dd3 had lost her reading books....

aaaarrrggghhh

Need a holiday LOL

Children were being monstrous but daddy just came home with panini world cup stickers. Miraculous transformation - DDs enthralled. Look like good bribery material for next 2 months.

wendyhappysmile · 22/04/2010 19:22

Hi all
LOL Ruby at wetting the pants. hope birthday goes really well
Wolf any better your end? How are things with DS? And yes I am miserably suffering at about 8 or 9 weeks pregnant ... early days yet
Evye LOL at panini stickers - expensive bribery though!
scatty and OFM sympathy to your DDs on the wetting the pants, poor little things. I was mortified on doing the same at school age 6 i think and was bullied for weeks about it ... think things are a bit better than that these days!
dyls how's the preps going for DD's birthday?
MC hope a little brighter today?! Sun is shining
Nutty I am at your list!

Personally I have been to work this morning, then shops for a few gifts I needed. DH's cousin had first baby this week - 5 lb 6 oz!!! He was two weeks' overdue as well. Dying to see him but bought some baby clothes today which are going to be just way too big!

Shattered, sick and all the rest. Going to watch debate then bed. BB tomorrow
