OK - enough of me skulking around feeling sorry myself.........

I'm going to sort this bloody house out once and for all see here for what this is about

There will be before and after photos too (just so you don't think I'm exaggerating about the disaster zone that it currently is)

This moping around feeling sorry myself is doing me no good and I need to get it sorted.

I may end up talking to myself on the thread........don't feel you have to reply.......writing it on here is better than talking to the walls about how I'm doing.

First things first - out for fag and sort something for boys dinner - probably scrambled egg on toast.

Matalan ones are a bit too small (or at least the ones they had in last time were). I'm being a bit fussy about it really - have turned down lots of suggestions so far as nothing is quite like what I have in mind

ok - got a bit cheesed off with the boys (again) after they sat on their arses all morning while I was sorting those papers.

So I turned the TV down low (DS3 wouldn't let me switch it off) put my CD on and told them "Tidy up NOW, if it doesn't belong in the rooms it's in MOVE IT, it it's rubbish BIN IT".

We've just had our first break and we've got on quite well.

They're sorting socks now.

I'm debating getting some ironing done (to clear the basket so it doesn't spill over the floor (again) when I put the stuff that's currently drying in it), or sorting my old filing box out.........I'm thinking the former as then hopefully tonight I may just be able to clean at least my dining room and living room floors........

You are doing really well Toccata. Well done on getting the boys motivated to do something as well.

Finished all the washing up this afternoon, just got the dinner stuff to do. Cleaned down one of the worktops, moved appliances etc. Done another 2 washes, I reckon I have 2 more loads to do and I am caught up.

I don't bother with ironing any more, I get so bored with it.I just give it a good shake and pull it into shape before hanging it and then fold it as soon as it is dried.

I was eyeing up the overflowing sock box earlier. Might have to make a game of sock snap with the boys tomorrow.

Have a good evening and try and get an early night tonight.

oh it all went to bloody pot again.

Was going to order pizza in - treat for us all, but told them if they were going to be silly then I wouldn't.

10 minutes later sat down ordering it (I order online) first off DS2 winding DS3 up and tears, and then DS1 giving me attitude (followed by a tantrum that would out do any toddler I know).

So pizza for them cancelled, DS1's tantrum continued while I was doing baked beans on toast with him proclaiming loudly that he "didn't want any baked beans on toast or any of your %$£%£$($%£$ dinner" (repeatedly) and that I was selfish because I told him I'll still be ordering a pizza for mysefl later.

So I didn't do him any............(he's 9 1/2 btw so I'm not starving a toddler)) current status is that they're all bathed, DS1 is supposed to be having an exceptionally early night for his behaviour.......but I'll see how he is when he comes down from his bath shortly and he may get some toast .

Oh and when I carried DS3 downstairs earlier I felt my shoulder/back "go", it's twinging now.............

Haven't done anything else sorting wise apart from the washing up earlier.

Oh and XH just rang asking if I'd uncovered the camera cable yet.......(after he decided he NEEDED it this weekend).........told him I haven't, don't know where it is

Sorry to hear they all kicked off, but well handled. Kids who'd 'ave 'em?

Ouch! with the shoulder/back. is this a regular thing?

I think you have done a lot today, so reward yourself by relaxing this evening and start again tomorrow.

PMSL at the camera cable. "ooooh! you are naughty, but I like you!" Love your thinking on that.

ToccataAndFudge · 20/03/2010 20:33

he came down after his bath to say goodnight, so asked him if he wanted something to eat "yes" he mumbled at me.

So told him to go and make himself toast, and he could have the last few beans that DS3 didn't eat warmed up (to do himself).

So he did eat something before bed.......

Back/shoulder (I'm never quite sure what to describe is as it's kind of my shoulder blade iykwim?) is an occurance when I over do it lugging things around that are too heavy for me to lug around...........except in this case I think it's just DS3 !

Well I know the camera thing is petty, but I genuinely wanted to use the camera this weekend to take "progress" shots for my own boosts (although obviously wasn't going to tell him that I needed it for that lol) .....I don't even have a phone with a camera on it...........he has a very good phone with a very good camera......

See you definatly did the right thing. He knew he was in the wrong and will realise when you say something you will mean it so will think hard when you do it again.

He is obviously getting a bit to heavy to lug about now. I must admit ai atry and lift my DC3 as little as can. I have persuaded him that it is just as much fun to hold my hand up the stairs now.

Nah! I would do the same thing . If you can afford to get a new camera then I would definatly do it, so you are not at his whim.

ToccataAndFudge · 20/03/2010 20:54

he his getting heavy to lug around........but he's still my baby - he's not even 3 yet

With the camera - I must remember to hide the cable when he comes round to drop the camera off hehe.

Can afford to get a new camera........and realised today while sorting that the boys I have £60 of Argos Gift Cards here so will add that to my original budget and get an even nicer one

I'm just sat waiting for my pizza..........

My DC3 is 2.9 yo and is definatly still my baby. He is potty training himself at the moment and I am seeing an end to my baby days and find myself having little crying sessions.

Do it when you head for bed, so you don't forget. Maybe pop it in your knicker drawer, doubt he'll look there

Yay! for finding vouchers. See there is a reason behind all this sorting lol! I have all my papers to sort at some point, really should be sooner rather than later as I am losing things.

Hope the pizza arrived and it was suitably yummy.

Speak to you tomorrow, sweet dreams.
