Definately not HMHB, no more babies for me
I think it is always different when you are minding someone elses baby Plum.

I couldnt get on yesterday at all because I had a busy day.
DD2 had trumpet lessons,Got my hair blow-dryed, Went to baby music with DD3, Made Lunch, Went to a 1st Birthday party, came home from that and went to a mass for my uncle that died, went to my cousin house for some tea, came home and fell into bed about 10.30.

Just going to have washing on my list today

PlumBumMum · 28/03/2010 09:36

CC I have the same list as you too today
I said that to dh that our babies were never as bad as that, and he did agree but it was nice going to bed last night that there was only a slim possibility of being woke up,
adn I can wipe dd2s tiny bum in my sleep now!!

JKS Keep missing my friend but she texted me to say her ds had picked up,
blood tests came back fine but he had a few funny turns yesterday, so don't know exactly what the term funny turns covers
she has split up with her husband so she is there 99% of the time so just trying to ring her when I think her phone will be on

TO DO
LAUNDRY
oh and straighten hair (I look like someone plugped me in curls in short bits and waves in the longer bitsbut not toussled like in th movies just sticking out everywhere)

JustKeepSwimming · 28/03/2010 09:57

Plum - hope you get to speak to her soon, it was bloody awful those first few trips to hosp tbh, and any messages from friends were appreciated.
How old is her DS?

The thing with newborn-sleep-deprivation is you know (hope) it's going to improve as they get older, but did you say the baby was 9months? and still sleeping so badly? not great at all. ( time for CC i would think....)

I COMPLETELY forgot about the clocks [aarrggghhh]

Yeap the baby is 9 months and I do think there is something different about a tiny new born keeping you awake than a big baby who does need anything in the middle of the night

Her ds is 3/4, he is only in nursery school, and he really took it bad when his mum & dad split up my heart goes out to him

Right have showered all dcs
going to have a cuppa with dh
make the lemon cake
then start on laundry!!!! (& clocks)

JustKeepSwimming · 28/03/2010 18:09

Giving them a try, got to be better than the smell of sick (although not if they do what napisan did on another bit and bleach it)

HalfMumHalfBiscuit · 28/03/2010 19:11

Evening - had a lazy day today

Am making some resolutions. Must look after myself a bit better. Take vitamins, eat more healthily etc. .

Also need to focus on sorting DD. Need to wean her and get nursery/child-minder sorted

She had one spoon of baby rice today. She didn't like it. I don't think she is quite ready. She seems to only like breast milk. No to bottles, formula and sippy cup . I don't mind so much but feel so tied to her as if its never going to end.

Freakoid - hope you and DS are feeling better.

Evening!

Hope you're all feeling better soon Freaky.
SIL reckons fabric conditioner is good for other child fluids on carpet.

HMHB, looking after yourself sounds like a good idea.
Agree with not needing to eat baby rice too. Fruit or veg might go down better.

DH starts working away tomorrow, he'll be back again Thursday for a bit then off again. Basically not going to see him much til May. Not as much tidying up/cooking to do though, just mad washing spurts when he pops back.

I'm going to make my Freecycle decision in the morning.

HalfMumHalfBiscuit · 28/03/2010 21:39

JKS - hmm was pondering on that. Mixed it with the formula she doesn't like. Also DS chose this moment to shout 'URGH YUKKY' right in her face so not surprised she didn't like it too much.

Will try fruit or something and maybe buy diff formula. So annoying as got lots left, and baby rice too. .

JustKeepSwimming · 28/03/2010 21:48

You can always use the rice to bulk out fruit/veg dishes and even the formula to bulk out things too, later on when she's used to different tastes.
Lol at DS though!

Alicetheinvisible · 29/03/2010 08:38

Morning

HMHB Could you mix it with breastmilk? Apparently bm is very sweet, so perhaps some apple puree mixed in? I am sure you know all of this anyway, but i know what sleep deprivation can do i only ask you do the same for me in a year

Wasting that is rubbish

Bad nights sleep last night. DH was on call so a couple of phone calls through the night and alarms set for 3am. Also the baby was kicking really violently, especially my bladder so up and down all bloody night! DD slept fine though.

Get up done
