everyone welcome (and yes I'm taking a flipping liberty starting the new thread )

OP posts:
FreakoidOrganisoid · 16/02/2010 15:06

Bloody hell I've never done that much in a day (how did you dry it???)

Wasting surely understairs cupboards are meant to be filled with stuff??? That is why they are areas of doom isn't it?

wastingaway · 16/02/2010 15:19

Absolutely Freaky! It's really, honestly not even that bad!

Alicetheinvisible · 16/02/2010 15:34

Wasting cheeky bugger! We organised our understairs cupboard a few months ago. It still looks a mess but everything is in it's own wine box so you can pull a box out at a time and finding things is much easier.

We can move the horses when we like, but are paid up until 6th march and can't afford to lose that money. DH is quiet at work today and as his job isn't office based he was able to come to the horses with me, so didn't feel so vulnerable

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 16/02/2010 15:38

How rude - 'some semblence of order'. I would have given him a Very Hard Stare

Alice - surely if you are still going to pay the bill up to the end of the month's notice then it doesn't matter if you move the horses early? The only thing I can think of is that current owners have told new owners that there are X number of horses stabled there and that it's somehow tied up in the contract of sale? Might be worth digging a bit....

lisi - at boinging sheep . I may have to do something similar just to see DH's face!

FreakoidOrganisoid · 16/02/2010 15:48

at it being in wine boxes alice, that's my kind of organisation!

FreakoidOrganisoid · 16/02/2010 15:53

Maybe see if he is better without pants then? I know it's still not ideal but mine are both better if they have nothing on, ds wees his pants everytime without fail! Potty training is hard though, I found it so stressful with dd especially (and still do when she regresses) and wanted to smack everyone that said "oh I just put him in pants and that was it/dd only ever had 2 accidents" etc

Alicetheinvisible · 16/02/2010 15:56

Freak

Ali - i spoke to her, but she was really arsy and put the phone down after she had said her piece. I had just said i was only asking on the off chance. They are a bit odd though. Come across as really lovely but turn intimidating in an instant! 2 weeks 4days and counting!!

On the plus side, i rang up a bedding company this morning to ask about their range and they are letting me have 2 free bags of bedding to try lovely man

PlumBumMum · 16/02/2010 15:56

JKS I second the naked bum it took ds 2 days naked then the rest of the weeks pants on, by the friday I was able to go on a long car journey, no accidents

dd1 & ds never had any accidents and that was them night time trained at the same time,

dd2 has had a couple but hers are more she gets fed up sitting on the toilet and will get off too soon,
or leaves it until the last minute because she is afraid of missing something

Well we got distracted by Mario & pancakes today
and need to get ready for dancing soon

Pancakes were yumm I had fruit cut up, sauces, lemon juice & icing sugar the dcs loved it it was a free for all

Alicetheinvisible · 16/02/2010 15:58

Freak we are slowly introducing potty training, just trying to get DD aware of 'going' iyswim, was pleased because she came straight up to me today to tell me she had done a poo (in her nappy)

wastingaway · 16/02/2010 16:20

I am in a state. I hate filth. The bin was swimming in goo when I finally emptied the bin this morning and as I picked it up by the handle it splashed onto the diningroom carpet and clean washing. I've sorted it now but I am getting really fed up of ick. Insert big rant about doing everything around here that I deleted after typing.

Alicetheinvisible · 16/02/2010 16:29

Wasting that sounds gross.

I hate this grey miserable weather. I don't want to do anything

wastingaway · 16/02/2010 16:33

I'd stopped using the bin, because it always needed cleaning out, but carrier bags hanging on cupboard doors is not particularly attractive. I might just throw everything out the window like in Tudor times.

Alicetheinvisible · 16/02/2010 16:36

Get staff

FreakoidOrganisoid · 16/02/2010 16:37

Yuck wasting

My new bin is lovely doesn't seem to need so much cleaning as the old one (or that could be just the lack of a man making it dirty)

wastingaway · 16/02/2010 16:38
Grin
Alicetheinvisible · 16/02/2010 16:45

I am thinking i would quite like to be Lady of the Manor.

I would still post here though as i would still be a slattern

Get cook to have a nutricious breakfast ready
Speak to cook about doing lunch for my ladies
Make sure the groom has done the horses and have them tacked up ready to ride
Get changed into twinset and posh cords
Have lunch with ladies
Start seating plan for dinner party
Be a gracious hostess
Fall (elegantly) into bed

wastingaway · 16/02/2010 16:51

Oh yes please.

And sit for a portrait by famous artist
Plan tour of Europe and the Far East
Fittings with dress maker

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 16/02/2010 17:19

Ooh that sounds lovely

Get housekeeper to iron today's clean bedding and put it on
Go for a lovely long walk around the estate with DS
Eat lovely dinner made by cook
Go to sleep in enormous, clean, ironed bed
Nanny get up in the night to re-settle DS while I sleep - that should be first on the list actually!!

Alicetheinvisible · 16/02/2010 17:19

I was just chopping veg and sorting washing speaking with the housekeeper

I wouldn't really travel, just spend time on my country estate, riding, flower arranging, playing tennis you know pursuits suitable for a Lady

wastingaway · 16/02/2010 17:22

Please help here if you know about boilers.

cikecaka · 16/02/2010 17:22

Alice at staff
I second the bare bum approach for training, It worked for my eldest 3. DD3 on the other hand is a different kettle of fish, will go at toddler group but cant be bothered at home so on Monday, I am just taking the nappy/pull up off DD3 and going to see how it goes. She is 3 on Sat, so I think it is the only approach that is going to work!
at the bin Wasting, I would probably have thrown up.
DCS are on mid-term so it is impossible to get in the computer

TO DO
Tidy kitchen
Sweep Floor
Wash Floor
Tidy Sitting Room
Sort a box of toys
Bath DD3
Bath myself

Cry because I am 39 tomorrow, I am so old

wastingaway · 16/02/2010 17:23

I've run out of fucking milk as well.

bronze · 16/02/2010 17:26

oh crap
I've just used up a pint and a half on pancakes

JustKeepSwimming · 16/02/2010 17:27

Will maybe try naked tomorrow, have nothing planned until the afternoon at a friends () so could give it a go.

CC - happy birthday for tomorrow, it's not old!!
