EHM sorry to hear that Ellie is not well we did all the snotty noses last week. Hope she feels better soon.

swanriver · 17/11/2009 09:40

Thanks for the thread EHM - hope you can snuggle some more today, and that Ellie sleeps later.
Leo - how did the exam go? I remember you were revising a lot.
Knickers - good luck with today

Morning has started not very well...all due to general disorganisation again - and suddenly feeling unbelievably tired despite heading off to bed quite early last night [which accounts for disorganisation

Goals for today
wash and dress ds
leg exercises
spelling/maths
pattern painting
go out to shops/park for fresh air, hoover bags and teabags
plant tulip bulbs in shed in pots

swanriver · 17/11/2009 09:44

P.S. Ds is lying in his downstairs bed, listening to the radio and reading. I think he is genuinely enjoying these lazy mornings so that is a blessing.

leothelioness · 17/11/2009 10:18

hiya Swan,
The exam was OK I won't know the results until middle of december so having a relaxing break while chewing through finger nails until I start the next course in Feb.

Makingchanges · 17/11/2009 10:26

Morning all

Finally back online and up and running after being ill last week. I don't seem to have got back into life properly since holidays yet just seem to be constantly behind and its driving me crazy.

Well done on getting the exam over and done with Leo. I bet you are relieved to have some time back, you were always revising.

I apologise I have no idea what has been happening around here recently but hope everyone is recovering from the germs that were around last week.

Jobs to do today

Wash DDs coat whilst we are having a rain break
Wash bedding and see if can get crayon out of it
Lunch for me and DD
Nursery for DD
School for me
Shops on way home from nursery
Whats for tea
Meeting tonight
See if can get time to type up Spanish notes from yesterday and retype last weeks as file is corrupt on memory stick!

Hello to everyone and thanks for the thread EHM. Good to see you again leo.

Hi MC and swan and knickers. swan You and me both going at a snail's pace, I think!

Done:-
~ took dd to school
~ went food shopping
~ unloaded and reloaded d/w

To do:-
~ make a phonecall
~ do some ironing
~ finish putting shopping away
~ tidy up kitchen
~ hoover around

See you again later!

Simply · 17/11/2009 12:00

luda If you pop on, I've sent you an e-mail.

wendyhappysmile · 17/11/2009 12:12

Think that's another at a snail's pace. DD watching Timmy on Cbeebies.
Just phoned up about a job, which seemed promising, 0.4 part time hours but it's in Sheffield (30 miles) and speaking to them doesn't seem do-able - think they are asking the impossible, they want someone to come in for lesson 1 and then lesson 5 - first and last lessons of the day! Certainly not feasible for me. Shame, it's a great school and temporary for two terms, could see how going back to work suited me!
Dones
Toddlers - DD was sung to for her birthday on Sunday, very nice
Dishwasher
Phone Orange customer service yet again - they are always very lovely, but don't seem to action anything!
Washer on

Is that really it ? Better crack on.

To do
Washing out - it's fine atm!
Lunch?
Dinner?
Meet DS with party stuff - he is off to a party tonight without me
Take DD to Nursery Open afternoon - yay, so excited, I can't wait! Mustn't forget cheque book for uniform order

Hi leo nice to see you, glad exams went well, good to have you back
Making hey there, good to have you back too
EHM hope you're snuggling and resting
Simply hi
knickers morning, was your post hopeful?

BBL

Knickers0nMaHead · 17/11/2009 12:27

Nope. Post wasnt hopeful but the phonecall I made was I have just put dcs in their rooms for naps.

Need to go find local drs, nearest school and go register.

go to tesco to cashpoint. If any cash in, get a few bits to eat.

scattyspice · 17/11/2009 12:52

Hi all . Just popping in.

Knickers - its such a faff when you move to a new area isn't it.

Hi Leo and MC welcome back .

Swan - ds sounds like he's got the right idea lol.

galen - you asked about audiobooks yesterday. I use Audible (can't link as at work). You can buy a book as and when or pay £7/month and have a free book every month (works out cheaper if you are going to get a new book each month). If you have an itunes account the book is downloaded there so that you can synch it onto your ipod. You can also get some books directly from itunes.

Today:
feed dc
gymnastics
sainsburys
collect from gymnastics
laundry
clean bathroom.

OverflowingFestiveMum · 17/11/2009 14:09

afternoon all...like the new name???

was having a good day ..... staved off household chaos this morning....shopping at morrisons-got lots of bargains!....veg soup bubbling in pan, bread in breadmaker....ds napping....came into lounge for MN time to discover...Dog has eaten half of DS shoe
Not best pleased...he has only had them a couple of weeks...and they were really cute...
Suppose that will teach me to put them IN the shoe cupboard and not on top of it!
I sent dog to her bed...but then felt sorry for her so let her backin...not her fault I suppose...dogs will chew LOL
Now she is looking at me with huge sad eyes...and I am full of guilt...LOL

Anyway...
wendy shame about job- sounds good, silly arrangement though. What school was it? If you ever needed somewhere to hang out for a few hours Sheffield direction you'd be welcome here...

scatty thanks for book info....

everyone else Hi....

right need to go grab quick cuppa before school...BBL

Simply · 17/11/2009 14:26

Good afternoon all.

Revised done list:-
~ make a phonecall
~ finish putting shopping away
~ tidy up kitchen

To do:-
~ do some ironing
~ hoover around

I think I might go swimming now. The jobs can wait until later. [naughty person emoticon]

wendyhappysmile · 17/11/2009 14:41

Not done much. Spoken to two best friends for a while on phone! DD in bed but not asleep I don't think. More washing, lunch, tidy up. Our exciting lives!
BBL

wendyhappysmile · 17/11/2009 14:42

knickers I am narrowing it down. Do you live near the new Tesco on Dewsbury Rd?!

Knickers0nMaHead · 17/11/2009 14:52

yes, not too far from there. About a 5min walk. Im actually in nice bit of G but its classed as ossett cb has gone in so I can actually eat something tonight instead of slurping a cupasoup!

leothelioness · 17/11/2009 15:32

hiya everyone thanks for the kind welcome back.

dishwasher reload done
a couple of load of washing then find somewhere to dry it all (awful weather)done
a mountain of ironing mostly done
lunch done
dinner doing
general tidy in living room
hoover living room

GAH will have to leave the living room till tomorrow.

Makingchanges · 17/11/2009 16:28

Hi Wendy - Pity about the hours of the job if it would have suited you. However, i'd be surprised if anyone would go for those hours as it would tie you up for the entire day. I live in Sheffield and so even without the 30 minute commute each way think that it would be too much of a faff. However, if others think so they may change the hours around with others to make them more doable. (do you get what I'm saying through the waffle, could have written that better!)

Got most of Spanish work done, been to school and nursery and now just cooking a chilli for tea before I'm off out to meeting.

Didn't get bedding washed as realised that I hhad no where to dry it today so that will have to wait for another day.

had a jolly but harumscarum afternoon, racing round shops with brakeless ds buying different varieties of teabags and Polish goodies. The only Ordinary tea (as opposed to fruitflavoured) in Polish shop is called "A Touch of London"
Also bought a weighing scales which dcs are jumping on to test.
no hoover bags but ordered some from hardware shop - so no hoovering for next few days

Dd has been to some kurling [sport]club, and ds1 had a girl friend over from school to play cards and [against my wishes]Nin.ds.
House v. messy
Made a casserole this morning.
Schoolwork, and painting with ds done this am, and practise. Have lost MY practise book so did something else pianetic.

Dts doing homework - they seem to be getting message it HAS to be done
It is such a relief NOT to be doing ds homework as well.

sorry for no greetings...ds now calling from afar..
Have a good eve everyone

Wendy -
