Have to have breakfast before I can figure out what we are doing today, tummy making strange noises. Very, very heavy rain over here. (Hope Mum brought wellies back from school yesterday)
oops! Does Kelly do a weekend mission? I'm a bit foggy this morning as DH looked after me last night with wine and cuddles (lets close the bedroom door on any more information)

Knickers0nMaHead · 14/11/2009 09:33

Aye. Doesnt feel like it though. I must be old

galen · 14/11/2009 09:37

morning all

busy day today
DD1 has friends coming for bday trip to cinema and sleepover

need to finish decorating bday cake lol

misleading question from me last night...actually meant the storage of baking tins for cakes....you know...the things you make the cakes in LOL.....dont have much problem storing finished cakes as they never last long in this house LOL
(although am slightly of lovely shelves lined with pretty tins of cakewendy)

right, need to crack on....BBL

swanriver · 14/11/2009 10:05

Galen - sooo annoying when they tell you to rest and then get cross about things that aren't done
I once had to ask a friend (who miraculously happened to be at a different checkout) to pay for my groceries as my card was spat out. My new trick when feeling worried about cashflow is to get cash out first - a fixed amount and just buy with that only.
Poor you with SPD (have I got letters wrong) does walking make worse or better or is it just lifting?

Hope birthday celebrations lift weekend - what sort of cake did you do?
Cake tin storage in our house is in large square food saver, then I don't lose the bases. Muffin tins and baking trays all stacked down on their sides in a open recess under worktop - they drve me mad in cupboard.

KnOMHead, you must make a cake for yourself - the kids will be v. excited. Hide matches thereafter though.

can't remember much else (cake has confused me)
boys screaming about something - dh has restored peace
still feeling kicked in stomach post op feeling, but glad for getting out anda bout yest
dd slept till 9.30 today
off to music with twins later
have told dh we NEED TO DO CRAFT later withkids and not suggest telly/computers, otherwise their brains are going to rot with all this lack of outside exercise - he has agreed provisionally

Knickers0nMaHead · 14/11/2009 10:12

I havent a cooker crafty stuff sounds good. I may get exp to fetch dcs craft box up and do something too.

swanriver · 14/11/2009 10:19

my mum never cooked cakes, she used to make an uncooked kind (for birthdays) out of rich tea biscuits golden syrup and chocolate powder and possibly other ingredients? with melted bournville on top - we thought it was delicious! And smarties on icing - she didn't pipe either! So no oven needed.

Will it be long before you get one?

Now need to get dressed and depart

TeaMonster · 14/11/2009 10:25

Off out with Mini, Mum and Neice, book marking for later

don't know where my head is at the moment!Forgot to take Ds to gymnastics! I have just shouted at Ds. He can't just play on his own for 10 mins so I can't get my head round what I need to do today He has been chatting non-stop since breakfast! DH had to take school kids to rugby and he normally takes Ds to Gymnastics! Full time work just doesn't work for me as most of the chores I've done today would normally have been done yesterday. I did get in at 10pm yesterday so should give myself a break.

A lot of cake making going on.
knickers I hope your getting ready to go out for lunch. Happy Birthday
Wendy Must Start going back to the gym Every Christmas I wanted to buy a sexy cocktail dress but I know I'm all lumpy and those dresses just need a slim body underneath (P.S I hate control underwear)
scatty He has 8 pants do you think I need to buy more?
I'm going to do my list then go and cheer up Ds

Not a good day here. Took DH shopping yesterday (with 30% discount coupon for Gap) and bought him loads of new clothes (as his xmas present). Today tried to get him to get rid of a few of his older/holy t-shirts and it ended up with a full on fight and him going off in a sulk. I thought it was meant to be women who get too attached to stuff!

Oh well, his shirts are washing - was told that my tumble drying might be whats shrinking them so am tempted to do it for longer cos he's upset me... would that be mean [evilemoticon!]

Wolfcub · 14/11/2009 13:06

morning all

I have had the usual orders to stay in bed from dp followed by the guilt trip (don' think he means to do it but manages it every time) for doing so - grrr. It's not like I haven't let him go back to bed for hours on end this week.

galen I am troubled by a similar problem. Most of my cake tins are untidily chucked in the cupboard. I think one of the brightly coloured plastic toy storage boxes from Ikea would do us both good

wendy thanks for the cheer up e-mail. The party info made me smile.

knickers happy birthday.

ruby hope the tooth pain gets under control

hello to everyone else

Wolfcub · 14/11/2009 13:11

ruby I just read your tooth thread and it made my eyes water wince you have my sympathy by the bucket.

scattyspice · 14/11/2009 13:22

Hi all.

Star - we have about 15pants each! (not all goodfit/condition), 5 school T shirts (can be worn 2 days as never take jumpers off so never get dirty), 5 trousers/skirts and 3 jumpers. DH has 10 shirts. I have zillions of clothes. Thats how we don't run out LOL.

Galen, Knickers - I have never baked a cake .

leeloo - my dh the same, I'm sure people think he's homeless! I've got used to it I guess (I always look smart and put together in comparison lol).

Hi swan, Ruby, Tea and wolf .

I too have been playing catch up today Star. I have just done yesterdays washing up and finished Mondays house bleugh! Luckily the up side of a busy week for DC seems to be that they are happy to potter today (not for you Star ).

I have reviewed Xmas list (only awkward people left to buy for) and am heading out with credit card. Wish me luck.

swanriver · 14/11/2009 14:16

Starbear, pants are cheap, buy 20! I am constantly buying more for dcs.

Have set up my still life for kids - a manky pumpkin and old cabbage and a cauliflower. Now to get them to paint it! Dh being all learned has said I need to add a skull, an hour glass and something else impossible.

Starbear · 14/11/2009 15:11

Wolf & Leeloo Men can't live with them, can't pay the bills without them.
Swan & scatty will buy pants & socks next shopping trip. How do your kids stay clean, DS comes home filthy.
Swan Love your DH's idea. Saw loads of the still life paintings (don't know the name of the painters!ignorant me)at the Wallace Collection. Recommend the museum to all that don't live in London. It's the place I go to with my friends that don't have children, girls day out thingy. It's just off Oxford Street and it has a lovely restaurant in the middle covered court yard.
Well I'm off to read a bit of the paper (have put the telly on for Ds.) DH has gone to watch rugby down the pub. Then I'll bake a cake for Monday's school cake sale Do you thinkit will keep for Monday*?
Put a load on the dryer and another load in.
Then tea

OP posts:
swanriver · 14/11/2009 15:53

I've been there! not in 10 years though
we have all been painting even dh
Ds1 finds it frustrating though, it is difficult to get him to do the tiniest daub before he says it is rubbish and goes off in a huff but I'm happy that he did 10 mins

afternoon is otherwise going well, ds is reading his way through umpteen A Horowitzes, little ones are playing some games with soft toys and dh is in a good mood.

Wolfcub · 14/11/2009 20:13

I am loving the jersey boys on strictly

wendyhappysmile · 14/11/2009 20:17

scatty you have never baked a cake?! I am - they are easy!
Star DD has 40 pairs of pants and DS has 30!!! Needless to say we never run out.
swan painting sounds great! Might have try that still life idea. DS would love that. He is always copying our pictures when we do painting.
wolf how are feeling?
leeloo men!
ruby hope pain not too bad.
knickers happy birthday! Week after next meet up for coffee in Ossett? Very busy week this week for me (DD birthday next Sunday, and various stuff on as well)
Tea hope you had a good day
I've had a good day today, apart from the constant bickering with DH - he is impossible at the moment. Think he is a bit disillusioned with life - I think he feels like life should be easier with me 'not working', he doesn't get it how i'm always flying about taking both DD and DS places, collecting, shopping, organising fantastic birthday parties, trying to make their childhood lovely ... Ho hum.
Been to yoga - lovely, then picked up a friend and we went shopping to Home Bargains (cheap shop) spent over £50 (I only went there on Tues and spent £30!) but got loads and loads of food, Xmas decorations, cards, presents and a couple of kids' birthday presents! Great! Watched 'Cars' with DS and DD this afternoon, for the first time, what a great film. Took DS and a friend of his to a birthday party at a Wacky Warehouse - I endured it, they enjoyed it. Now watching Strictly.
Phew.
See you all tomorrow

wendyhappysmile · 14/11/2009 20:18

wolf I am behind you watching on sky plus type thingy!

Wolfcub · 14/11/2009 20:32

wendy i challenge you not to cry at a number of points - it's been a very emotional strictly night. I'm feeling so so, definitely improving but nowhere near as fast as I would like.

wendyhappysmile · 14/11/2009 20:45

all sorts of ups and downs! Poor Jade and Laila, well done Natalie too!

wendyhappysmile · 14/11/2009 20:46

Tea how was Ikea hell?
