Thanks to this topic on Mumsnet I am starting to get my house in order (Flylady). I think I might be a bit obsessed though. I have just watched this and am so excited. Have I lost it completely??

He seems a bit of a PITA, a bit too fussy, but at least it's another of life's little mysteries solved.

My dch showed me the T-shirt one. It's brilliant & v. impresive once you get the hang of it.

christmasmum the sheets ina pillowcase is, as you say, genius. and yes, I second your last thought there. I should now be having 'quality time' with my dch, newly back from school...

I do the stuff inside a pillowcase thing too after reading it on a how to survive a larger family thread

Fizzylemonade · 05/11/2009 22:29

I do the fitted sheet thing but standing up with my left hand in the corner of the sheet and it drapes up my arm toward my shoulder. I only lay it on a bed to do the final folding, all the corner tucking is done whilst standing.

I do it so fast, I had to slow it down so my Mum could see how I did it

I fold duvet covers up and put the folded pillowcases inside (not inside the cover just inside the last folding) so it comes out as one bundle.

I also do that fast t shirt fold but it means the arm of the t shirt is underneath so can get messy when DH roots through his pile to find a specific t shirt.

I actually enjoy folding. I am definitely anal, I even fold my dishcloths a particular way. I am Monica from Friends.

Confession: I have been known to re-fold the towels when DH has put them away, I like them all folded the same way so they look neat in the cupboard .

Wonderstuff · 05/11/2009 23:46

Am loving this. Will give my so much more space in my cupboard.

PMSL @ stillsquiffy - that has to be quote of the week.

fizzy:
"I fold duvet covers up and put the folded pillowcases inside (not inside the cover just inside the last folding) so it comes out as one bundle."

that's a brilliant idea: i spend ages looking for the matching pillowcases (which is why the bed usually ends up with completely different pillowcases on it)

8oreighty · 06/11/2009 11:38

good to know but takes him 10 minutes!

There is another clip on that youtube page for getting a car door open with a tennis ball.

I don't drive, we don't have a car, but it can't be that easy to get into a locked car, can it?

Furball · 06/11/2009 14:51

flower - apparently that clip is a fake according to another clip

claireyBANG · 06/11/2009 15:08

I learnt how to fold them recently but I do it standing with the sheet hanging down (and a LOT quicker than him)
