Hello!
I rushed so much yesterday I didn't even get back on here to show off list tasks done:
-did my flute practice, hooray!
-DS seems to be progressing with his getting dressed/undressed practice
-did some 'work' on getting DS to hold pen properly and draw round star and pig templates
-read through what the kids are doing this term at school and thought I really MUST do more with them at home to support what they are doing at school as I realised I do very little at the moment! I blame the fact that I think I was depressed for about 2 years, even parts of that time when I thought I wasn't too bad, I feel SO happy now and feel like I WANT to do things with the children etc that in comparison I can see that I was not well back then.
-made potato, tomato and cheese ommelate for me and DS and did some intensive 'how to use cutlery properly' teaching ready for when he has school dinners next week!
-dishwasher
-one load of laundry
-iron DH shirt
-clean kitchen and bathroom floors
-take children to playdate/mothers' meeting
-babysit there while one of the others had to go to a school meeting
-go to flute choir, hooray!
-cook salmon and rice for me and DH
I forgot to have a shower yesterday though! I feel very smelly so will have one in a minute.
I've decided to help at DS's old playgroup while he is in Year R, then when he is in Y1, see if the school will let me help in YR. I don't want to do it yet because DS is quite a 'Mummy's Boy' and I don't want my presence in the school to encourage him to be like this until he has fully settled in to school. They are going to have 'Maths Hour' in his class though where parents can come in and do number games with them once a week so I'll go to that and see what it's like. Thank you for advice MakingChanges and Scatty.
Happy Birthday for yesterday MakingChanges! Jas, you ARE allowed to have more than one day 'off' you know when you are going through so much, so carry on being easy on yourself and just do the minimum work necessary! Unless doing housework helps you to feel better?
Swan, LOL @ your DS1 being "horrified" at the facts of life How do you decide what age to talk to them about it?
EHM, hope your Ellie is better soon!
Teamonster, Congratulations on new keyboard! It must feel like a luxury after battling along with a crappy one for ages!
DylsMum, Glad you like your new job - what is it? I hate starting new things even if I know I'm going to like it eventually!
I'm so tired today - but then I often say that in the mornings and think 'I can't do it today' but as I get my reptile flesh warmed up I get more and more active, I just have to give myself time. I can't list what I've got to do because it will look 'painful', so I'll just list it when I've done it (is this cheating?).
