Yes, the blue unstoppables from Lenor are amazing, mixed with Ariel excel gel (purple one) best smell ever and last weeks, even with a small amount.

The best smelling combination is persil and then comfort sensitive. Having said that I use Aldi liquid and comfort and it's close.

My boys ask me to use bold 2 in 1 as they claim that smells best.

I always use Fairy non-bio, ever since had children. I buy big box and it lasts and i also use Fairy fabric conditioner. I read Mumsnet recommendation about yellow Lenor, and tried it. Sadly I dont like artificial flowery summery smell. I like my washing smell like fresh air, and Fairy does it beautifully without being OTTed on odour.

I've always used Ariel as I love the smell, but agree with pp about line drying. Tumble dryinh

Oops. Tumble drying really kills off the fresh laundry smell.

If you use the same one all the time you stop smelling it so you need to swap it around. I think that the Fairy Honey and Almond conditioner and the pink Surf in a bottle smell the best - I love the stronger smelling products Flowers

I've recently discovered Milton do a laundry liquid and to me, when I use it, it makes the scent of the fabric softener stronger so it smells lively and fresh for ages!!

Give your machine a maintenance wash first to clean out the old bunged up powder. I use Dr. Beckman's every three months and monthly I put on a 90' degree wash on an empty machine. I find this helps to keep my washing smelling fragrant for longer.
