Having a nice morning pottering at home this morning - I'm fed up of rushing about. Yesterday rushed around finding shoes for my two dc, and met with the usual case of terrible shop assistants, no shoes to fit ... I hate children's shoe shopping! I was in a terrible mood last night after DH came home. I asked for ten minutes child free time (DD was awful yesterday afternoon, I coped really well but by 6 pm just wanted ten minutes off!) and DH left them to it and did the washing up! It was like he was making a point of saying I'd been a lazy cow all day and not done any washing up, I'll have to do it. Meanwhile much screaming, shouting and bickering between two tired children.
On the flip side, I know it must be hard to come home to two horrid children who are tired.
Anyway, better get on!

Then check back, good luck with your lists all.

Been for a swim first time by myself although I keep taking kids...(and am a perfectly good swimmer, just don't like cold water since having dcs)
4 laps was about enough to make me feel weak at knees.
But thank you for inspiring me TMH, I felt ashamed not to.
Will try 6 laps next Wed.
Bought 3 large sacks of compost.
Now eating lunch.

I have reinforments - mum is here, but the boys are still behaving appaulinly.

Dones
Another load of washing
Hung on line
Made my bed
Changed DS1's bed (in washer)
fed the boys
missed the postman
Left message at the hospital
a little bit of ironing
put the boys ironing away
Hoovered upstairs

To Do

More washing
Whats for dinners
shopping list for tomorrow
zone clean

We are going to see Star Trek at the local independant cinema. its great reminds me of going when I was a child, as it hasnt changed at all. We might even go for fish and chips and an icecream after (Its on the seafront)

OK Job thing - the bra lady joked on the phone that she needed a sectretary as should couldnt get her messages when in the hospital, so I asked her if she really needed some help when I visited her last night and it turns out that she does nad thinks we should have a coffee to discuss further. I made it clear that it would have to fit in with the boys and preschool/school and that I would want to work mainly from home - so we shall she.

She has a 5 year old and drops her off at school and collects her and does reduced clinics during half term etc, so understands were I am coming from.

Hi all.

Work is v busy (seems to be harder work since all my staff returned ) so didn't get on mn at lunchtime. I also seem to be bringing work home again which isn't part of the deal .

Have to go get ds from art club so:

to do:
ironing (also with a view )
put away laundry
fill charity bag for tomorrow
arrange meet up with a friend
reply 2 parties
usual eve stuff...

Mad - job sounds promising!
Prof - what is your job prospect?
wendy - hope you had a less frazzled day. I'm the opposite with dh, yest I was grumbling that he'd been playing with dd and not done the washing up etc (but I'm an old bag lol).

Hi all others.

BBL (when I've done something).

laurasmiles · 13/05/2009 16:20

HI All - late posting today. SO SO knackered - fell asleep on sofa and woke at 4am and then couldn't get back to sleep - this has got to stop!

Still, house fairly in order but could do with a hoover. I used my last energy on giving my sister-in-law an hours sleep while I looked after her little one and tidied up her house. Can't face my own now!

Wendy - yesterday was definitely bad biorythms or something. Surely today will be calmer!

Swanriver & Gibb well done for exercise. I am in desperate need of it: but the thought of a swimsuit in public - eek!! . So dp bought Wii Fit the other week - I've looked at it, that's about as far as it's gone.

Maggie & Prof coffee with friends. Hope you had good times.

Shannara - rotten about the medication, I hope you get things sorted soon. It must make you feel anxious.

Dysl - love your bughunting with ds, very creative.

TMH - Damm cramp - ggrrr - . But the jobs sounds great - pursue pursue!!

Galen Go girl you can do it. Time it, wizz round, reward!! Now give me ten!

Dame I'm fairly new. Struggling to get an eveing routine put down. But seeing benefits of this FLY stuff already.

Anyone I missed, big hug, x

galen · 13/05/2009 17:27

evening all
laura poor you falling asleep on sofa...but rent you lovely helping out your SIL - I bet she really appreciates it.

everyone-else Hi

Bad evening here. DD4 in terrible mood.DS2 super grumpy and has cried non stop since 4pm
DS1 being the most annoying child you could imagine, being really just awful and making me SO DD1 sulking cause I asked her to help put the washing away, DD2 claiming to be still ill to avoid doing anyhting to help, and DD3 just being DD3 which is enough of a chalenge at the best of times!
House stressing me out as spiraling out of control, washing mountain taking over the world, kids have destroyed rooms I have previously tidied , and all refused to eat roast gammon. AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH

So have handed over responsibility to DH and esacped to bedrrom to regain some sanity,
Need a plan of ation for tomorrow I think....dont know where to start though...
actually want to take DD swimmin so may just ignore house till weekend and try to catch uop then and start afresh....

Did manage to order last of DD's bday stuff though so that was good, and did cook nice dinner - not my fault they didnt eat it LOL
Feeling the need for chocalte now may have to go and get some...but trying to stop eating so much rubbish.....

Well hope everyones evenings are going better than mine!

see you all tomorrow

galen · 13/05/2009 17:32

OMG I take it all back...DS1 has just sorted out the remainder of the clean washing and put it all in the correct rooms for me

wendyredkitchenredspots · 13/05/2009 18:08

galen Don't get stressed, it's only a house! You have had a rough few weeks - you're not well yet with your PND, FIL's illness, DH away, illnesses with you and DC - give yourself a break! Just go back to your routines tomorrow!
mad We may go to star trek for our wedding anniversary next week I think - let me know how it is!
laura lovely of you helping out SIL. It took me months to sort an evening routine, then we moved house and it's gone again
Prof - did you apply for the job?
scatty DH is behaving today and talking to DC!!
dame welcome back
everyone hi!
A friend came for a cuppa this morning - chilled out! Just what we both needed, DD and I! Then my parents took DS DD and me to nearby bird garden for picnic and wander - great. Just missed the rain.

Have overeaten on children's leftovers again. I keep missing my own dinner because I'm full of their food Think it's just tiredness really, wanting energy. I have about 2 stone to lose since having DS which bothers me and I'm thinking of joining a slimming club - which I've always turned my nose up before. Anyone been to one? Prob do Slimming world as I can't bear the thought of points counting.

anyway, yoga soon, so looking forward to it. Need to start running again!
