gibbberish · 07/05/2009 09:35

Morning

Thanks for the thread jas You were up early!

fabulous Parmesan muffins? Never heard of those before!

dylsmum Half five Is there such a time?

chloe you poor thing. Just do what they will see, and don't be obsessive - if we aim for perfection we will always fail! Just a quick cosmetic clean to spruce things up would be adequate. I'm sure they are not bothered about the painting. You will have plenty of time later to clean and clear properly.

Make a list of things you can REASONABLY (i.e. without killing yourself in the process lol) do today, tomorrow and before they arrive Saturday. Just seeing it all written down will help to calm you down. And if you don't get through it all at least you will have made a big improvement anyway.

tmh Glad you had a good nights sleep. That is bound to lift your mood a bit as well as the sun shining. It's all good!

scatty Not much to do here either. Bliss!

Okay, done:

Made bed
Dressed
Tidied kitchen and lounge
Emptied and reloaded d/w

To do:

B/fast
Swish and swipe bathrooms
Hoover upstairs
Dust upstairs
Weekly shop

Off to get my breakfast and write shopping list. bbl x

  • I intend on lighting candles to disguise any misperfections anyway!

Thanks for the crisis clean - it looks like I will have to follow that tomorrow as I did start the glossing which I now officially HATE glossing, have applied one coat to the areas that needed it, it has took me 3 hours and will have to pick up ds in an hour so I'm guessing I can't fit lunch and another coat in that time - it looks worse than before I started! It will be fine though, will just work my ass off today and put ds in front of cbeebies Glad I don't have any mindees until 3.40 tonight

My list of things to do:

Second coat of gloss
Crisis clean every room
Tidy the toys
Go collect some bunk beds tonight and get them set up
Find a home for a kingsize mattress (think I will just put it on my bed aswell as my own for time being
Another load of washing
Ironing
Clean car (I'm picking them all up and they won't fit unless I do!)
Clean the back garden (horrible job, I have 4 chucks!)
Prepare my meal (will be doing most of that with mindees tomorrow as they love baking)

Actually that list above is not nearly as horrible as in my head (I think it's the crisis clean that does it as appose to writing down each individual task!)
This is over 2 days too so I won't kill myself fitting it into one.

Glad the sickness is dying down in your household Galen

Whats the muffins taste like then FBG - can I borrow you for Sat night to make my meal?

Sorry to hear about the sickness in your household TPF.

Thankf for the crisis clean tip TMH

Chloe55 · 07/05/2009 11:59

Misperfections? I am now making words up!

Tortoise · 07/05/2009 12:04

Hello.
I haven't done anything this morning!
Had a friend round with her DS2 which was nice.

Dyls I am thinking about getting this for DD's room. Their blind isn't very good!

Sorry some people have poorly DC .(You can keep it!!)

I really should do something but i don't know what. Have lost my motivation.

laurasmiles · 07/05/2009 12:05

Good day everyone!

Eek Prof! Sick bugs through broadband - don't go starting that rumour, they'll disconnect us all!!

I've had a fairly good morning:

DONE:
Made beds
Washing on
Laundry folded
Sink extremely shiny
bathrooms swiped
Shower cleaned properly
Bins out
Downstairs cleared
dishwasher emptied
Kitchen tidied
reference written for friend
emails checked
Painter supervised - colour chosen for downstairs toilet!
Children off to nursery with lunches

To Do:
bedrooms dusted
Supermarket shop
Towels washed

Ggrrr @ hotspots. I have a mental block with them and seem to spend most of the day working around them, I can't seem to get a grip. So, I've decided to motivate myself, I'm going to put 20p in a pot for each and every hotspot I clear and then spend the money every week on a little treat! - a magazine, some choccy, facepack etc. Anyone care to join me? I figure it will also help me clear another hotspot which is basicaly bowld of spare change.

Off out later with children to feed ducks perhaps....or to the ballpool. See how tired they are. I hope you all have a goo afternoon.

FabulousBakerGirl · 07/05/2009 12:20

I have done all my list except for the fruit as I found some yogurt the kids can have for tea.

It definitely helps starting off with a small and therefore realistic list.

I have done extra washing and ironed all the school uniform that was dry. I also made some sausage rolls which are yummy.

galen · 07/05/2009 13:27

Afternoon all!
FBG small realistic lists are def good. That way you feel youve achieved what you set out to.
prof sorry bout DD.hmmmm must me my new mobile broadband! s long as it doesnt spread my total week of chaos to you all LOL

A quick hello to you all ! Got on well this morning. Downstairs of house now slowly returning to some sort of order, also done some more thorough cleaning in kitchen.
Lists:
DONE:
General tidy all round downstairs
dusted downstairs
cleaned all downstairs windows
wiped down cupboards and doors in kitchen
sorted out fridge
Lunch done, cleared, DW on
Several loads of laundry
Cleared huge mound of assorted "stuff" from bottom of stairs

To DO
Hoover lounge
Clean wshing mountain away
Mop floors

Tomorrow:
Tidy all DC bedrooms
Dust dc bedrooms
Change DD's beds
bathroom floor
clenan upstairs windows

Right better dash ..... DS2 wants to play! He just said his first sentance "here you are" as he brought me his little ball - admitedly it ws pronounced more "eewaa" but I thought it was cute !
BBL

TheMadHouse · 07/05/2009 14:00

Afternoon all

DS1 to Preschool - done
Take mum shopping to Aldi - done
Aldi shop for us - done
Put away shopping - done
collect DS1 from Preschool - done
Whats for lunch - sausage & Potatoes
Plant up peas and beans in new raised bed
Ironing - done
Put ironing away
whats for dinner - still thinking about this
mop the kitchen floor
sort utility area
clean under the sink

The boys are being pretty challenging this afternoon. Running me round and round and round. Currently are in the garden with bubbles

This parenting lark - it is like being bi-polar. You either have really good times or really bad times - there seems to be no even ground in my house

Other dones

Popped to corner shop as forgot Tea bags - essential in this house
Spent some time on the click start with both boys
Watered all the plants

I am struggling to get my motivation - I guess that is the depression.

grouchyoscar · 07/05/2009 14:17
