Hello, everyone
Think we need bigger blackout blinds in ds2's room
Done
2 starcharts
breakfast
dd is dressed I hope

GALEN - brightly coloured potato pots were bought last year, and called "tubtrugs". I got them from garden centre/Homebase for toy storage etc but they seem v. expensive when I look on internet now eek. Flexible with handles, I put holes in bottom with knife.
Friend used any lightweight storage bag like a large tesco recycling bag for example. with holes
I would plant them in ground if I could, but no open ground available in this garden.

mop bathroom floors
change sheets on two beds

So by 10.30 off out to buy some fish for ds2 who has requested macaroni fish for tea.

Hi strangers! Have skimmed Monday and Tuesday's threads. Just a few hellos sorry if I miss you out!
Galen nice to see you back - sounds like the trip to Ireland was necessary for all if a bit traumatic. hope things are settling down now. I have potatoes planted in one of those massive blue Ikea bags you can buy with holes in the bottom. Filled with compost about a third and tubers in. When they grow a bit fill with one third more compost, then repeat so full of compost. Works a treat. you can also buy 'grow sacks' or something - about a tenner for two or three specially for the purpose - at garden centres, on ebay, ont'net!
Mad Wise psychologist, wise mum - you are doing fab
wolf hope new job going well
all waves

Well, I have one wall left to do a second coat of paint and THAT IS IT for painting! Have done three bedrooms, living room and dining room and don't I know it. Feel about 134 not 34!
Haven't packed anything yet and we're moving on Saturday. We won't have internet access for ages after the move probably so I may be only on a couple of times a week at parents' houses - so sorry in advance!! I am looking forward to next week just doing nothing but play with my children in my new house and bake cakes buns and biscuits in my new ovens

Hosp today with DS for eyes checking, a party tomorrow afternoon so need to buy a gift. Right need to get on lots still to do but lovely to pop in and see you're all well and ok - bbl I hope - perhaps tomorrow morning - I have to be in for 10.30 as our shower (in the old house!) is broken and a plumber is out to fix it.

Bye ladies and have good days

grouchyoscar · 22/04/2009 09:59

Hello All

Yesterday I was so busy sorting out financial stuff I didn't get chance to log on and I did the worst household job too, I mended and put up the shower curtains tieing 26 bows above your head while balancing on the step ladder/edge of the bath! Well, it's done now so, phew!

Thanks for the thread Swan Galen I've grown stuff in a growbag cut in half and stood on the narrow end. We have no open ground here either so it's all tubs and buckets here too. Good news is the lettuce seedlings seem to have recovered from planting out (Phew again)

galen · 22/04/2009 10:25

Morning all

swan thanks for thread. I have some carrots in a trug type thingy - a bright green one from Morrisons, as dont think carrots would cope with our stoney soil... wasnt sure it would be deep enough for potatoes though..but may get another and try, or might look into some growbag type things... will consider! I have run out of ground space for planting now LOL I have got spinch, lettuce, french beans, runner beans, leeks peas and brocolli on the go!Also got my carrots in tubs and corgette in a tub, strawberries in a pot...Tomato seedlings ready to go into a tub, then just need to sort out potatoes! Could really do with an apple tree but thats not going to happen LOL
grouchy glad your lettuces are doing OK!growbags sound a good plan for spuds actually...

Hello.
Had quite a good morning.
Took dog for a looonngg walk with a friend straight after dropping kids at school.

Then tidied front room again and hoovered.
Tidied kitchen and ran DW.

Emptied gloves and winter hats out of the hat basket by the door and put the in the WM ready to pack away for the summer. Various odd gloves found!!

Summer hats now in basket instead.

Put away 2 massive piles of DD1 and DD2's clothes.

Swept kitchen floor.

Sorted my clothes pile.

gibb I will be doing wii fit exercises later. Do you have favourite ones you do?

Bit cloudy here today, inbetween bits of sun peak through.

gibbberish · 22/04/2009 14:00

scatty I can't wait! Been ages since we were away on our own.

tort I know it is boring but I like the running one Also like the step, hula hoop and the skiing. I'm more into aerobic exercise than the others. Can't get my head around the yoga! Am rubbish at it.

Which do you prefer?

Done:

Exercises on wii
Tidied and cleaned kitchen
Shined sink
Tidied and dusted my room (inc dreaded office stuff)
Tidied and dusted dd3 and dd4's room - so glad because has needed doing for ages!
Took off bedding
Hoovered upstairs
Put away clothes
Watered house and garden plants
Put away second lot of clothes
Hoovered downstairs
Cleaned floors
Dusted downstairs
Refilled dishwasher
Had lunch
Showed dd4 how to work out fractions
Calculated the perimeter of a building with dd2
Showed dd3 where to insert commas in a sentence

Now all that is done the sun has disappeared!!!

Nothing to stop me starting the ironing I suppose...

To do:

gibbberish · 22/04/2009 14:01

Oops where did that 'to do' come from?

Off to get the ironing board

Tortoise · 22/04/2009 14:05

I haven't done the jogging one much yet but probably should do so that i can unlock free jog and can job while watching tv like i do with free step!
I love hula and beat DS2 by 1 point. 309 to me 308 to him. Nearly killed me just getting to that score! Quite like the muscle ones too.

Not very good at yoga but am trying because it is meant to be good.

I like tight rope and balance too.

Tortoise · 22/04/2009 14:05

*jog not job lol!

TheMadHouse · 22/04/2009 14:13

Afternoon All

I have had a nice day so far playing and just being with the boys

DS2 is very unhappy and clingy though.

We are off to the garden centre next - not that I have a lot to spend £5 to get some more seeds

Washing has been hung and brought back in
general routines done
Jacket spuds for dinner
planted some seeds.

I am feeling a little tired and bleur today actually.

Gib how is DD1?
