galen that is an impressive list! I'm liking the DIY-ness

GO hope DH is less itchy now!

MuffinBaker good luck with that list

I'm slightly dissapointed with the weather today...wanted to get back out in the garden but everywhere is soggy!

ByThePowerOfGreyskull · 04/04/2009 11:43

morning all

had a lie in as have a stonker of a headache. have woken to find DH has taken the boys for a haircut and to do Sainsbury's.

tmh what a lovely thing for Dh to arrange a wheelchair so you can all go out together. I do hope things get sorted for yousoon, you certainly have been through the ringer!

galen we need to sort our airer in the garden it has a dreadful lean do you just stick some concrete in the soil or is it more complex than that?

Muffinbaker welcome back, remember one thing at a time, babysteps!

GO remember to look after yourself as well as everyone else - keep boris at bay!

wolf enjoy the theatre

Luda hope the weather picks up for you, it has taken all morning for the haze to burn off here but finally the sun is shining

swan where are you going?

EHM thanks for thread - hope the tablets have kicked in for your back.. backs are such delicate things, did you get the sand into the sandpit? We are getting ours out again this weekend (we put it away every weekend)

Got lots to do this weekend but unless my head clears it may have to wait until next week.

wendyredkitchenredspots · 04/04/2009 12:25

Helo all
I am very ill with the chicken pox. covered in spots now, all over my body, face and head and down below. the itching on the spots especially before they erupt into blisters is so intense it is unbearable - especially the ones down below as you can imagine but also all over my head - feels so lumpy before they erupt. the anti virals haven't stopped the virus yet .

I would rather go through childbirth than have chicken pox, it's that bad

Mad We are all thinking of you - what is happening to you is truly awful and I would be crying all day if it was me (look at me just with chicken pox) - please come on here and talk to us when you can and get out and about in your wheelchair which is brilliant.

grouchy and wolf all i have done today is have a shower and put a load of washing in - I am in bed!! is that ok?! [scared emoticon]

I hardly slept last night with the itching and dd had a very disturbed night with her pox as well, poor thing. DH is coping very well bless him.

Well, WE GOT OUR KEYS! sorry for shouting but it was very exciting. Very pleased with the house although there is lots and lots to do. The family who lived there were not flyladies that's for sure! it is absolutely filthy and needs a coat of paint in most rooms. Won't get there today as I'm too ill but DH has been with DC. DS in particular is so excited - he loves it already and had a tantrum last night and didn't want to leave, he couldn't understand why we couldn't just move in immediately! DH is stressed about all the things to do but I am just excited.

Bianca well done on the scan and being so strong yesterday!

Sorry to anyone I've missed feeling poorlier by the minute so BBL

mad wendy big hugs!

wendy empty carton of bicarb into bath, go and sit in it for an hour, i promise it will help.

grouchyoscar · 04/04/2009 15:00

Hello again. I'm back!

DH wanted to pop into town and was getting uppity to get off! We went downtown and ended up taking Ed to spend his pocket money he has been saving (on Denmark's finest export, as always) Plus we raided the cheap stuff at tesco and got loads of bargain to shove in the freezer.

I've been supervising the Lego build, Ed is getting pretty good at it now but he needs encouragement. Also general potterring, fliking a duster here and there, plumping up cusions and the like

Wendy Poor you, Cpox is awful when your a grown up. I will hold back on telling you off as you are taking it nice n eazy.

Mad take it easy on yourself won't you. It's still early days so please don't make any rash decisions about anything my lovely.

Hello to Muffin Hope to see you about.

Did tons yesterday while Ed was partying so it's pretty easy today. Tomorrow we are going to the Rara Breeds Farm to see the lambs and piglets.

The Ed room needs a good blitz so I'll say TTFN

everyone else is at the new house doing cleaning sorting etc feeling very very fed up

EustaciaVye · 04/04/2009 17:18

Hi All. Sorry to be so awol.

Wendy - the pox is awful as an adult. Have you got calamine cream? The lotion is pants. I allowed myself to scratch my head as I knew that didnt matter if it scarred but I actually have several scars on my face now even though I didnt scratch them. You may find it takes several months for the scars to fade.

Just keep doing what you are doing and soon you will start to improve. I didnt have the anti-virals so felt like I was dying but hopefully they will kick in for you soon.

TMH - not surprised you feel awful but you have to remember that this is not only major surgery but it was done with a clear objective in mind. Take it slowly.

galen · 04/04/2009 18:24

wendy poor you. Hope your over the worst soon and can enjoy the nes house

Morning
Feeling a little less like i'm dying (as EV said so rightly, the pox is truly truly awful) and no new spots today so the anti virals must be working.
Covered though so that's not too much consolation, but just feeling a bit better is good! I am up at least and not lolling in bed! Even wondering if I'll manage to get dressed and go and LOOK (no cleaning!!!) at the new house today.

Thanks everyone for all your kind words and thoughts

mad hope you're feeling ok and didn't overdo it yesterday in York

Well, you know that day trip to Chester (coach trip) I was meant to be on with my Mum yesterday? Well she went on her own, but we got a phone call from her stressed asking the name of the coach company - she missed the coach home!!! My dad had to drive over there to pick her up as she didn't want to go by train at night. Poor mum she sounded very upset.

wolf what was the theatre?
galen enjoy the bday celebrations - did cake turn out well? hope it is enjoyed

TheMadHouse · 05/04/2009 12:23

Wendy I am so sorry - I had chiken pox in my 20's not nice at all. I hope the house is good and that you take it easy

Waves to everyone else.

We had a nice day yesterday and the boys were perfextly behaved. We had lunch in bettys and I was wowed by their manners. So I had a lovley family day, with them running off loads of energy.

Today DH is mowing the lawn etc. I have been round the block with the boys on their bikes and am trying to just supervise

Mum is coming for dinner and then staying the night, as DH HAS to return to work tomorrow and I am not really upto having the boys. Also my H/S angel is coming round too.

I am back at the hospital tomorrow, so will find out how we are going to manage my wounds as I can not go on much longer with a stoma bag and padding.

Anti'b's are leaving me with a nasty taste, but hopefully this time I will fully erridicate any nasties that may be lurking.

Anyway happy Palm Sunday - enjoy the weater, gardens, children.

Thank you for being my friends

wendyredkitchenredspots · 05/04/2009 13:24
