EustaciaVye · 25/03/2009 08:40

ByThePowerOfGreyskull · 25/03/2009 08:45

TMH thanks for thread hope you take it easy!
EV sorry to hear DD is poorly hope a day's rest will be helpful to her.
wendy Hi - how is the chickenpox developing?

got a busy day
need to make a 10" sponge this morning
go to toddlers
go to meeting
go to cakeshop and buys some dark blue icing
pick up DS1 from school
Decorate cake
make dinner (cottage pie)
go to sugarcraft course

inbetween times the new bedroom furniture is coming

wendyrednoseredhair · 25/03/2009 08:56

no new spots today, just previous ones growing bigger and filling up - he seems a bit better, thanks.
Need to go to the bank this morning to sort out transferring money around to pay the solicitor's for the house! I will be glad when all our money is finally re-invested in bricks and mortar and not in the dodgy banks earning pennies in interest! Will phone Mum to see if she can look after DS and DD whilst I pop into town.
still not showered and dressed! got distracted with nappy changing.
Busy day greyskull

Mad - we've had high temp, ok, high temp, ok, rash, ok, high temp, and now high temp and tummy ache. She's also v tired.

TheMadHouse · 25/03/2009 09:18

Sounds very similar - he is fine one min and then hot and shattered the next - he slept from 7pm last night to I woke him this morning - he is usually up for 6am

Morning all

I intend to do all my routines and lots of baking and cooking this morning before going out this afternoon.

EV/TMH ds has had something very similar sounding too. He was totally wiped out for over a week, and now, almost three weeks later his appetite and energy levels are only just returning to normal.

Sympathy to all with poorly little people.

swanriver · 25/03/2009 09:52

I think that's what we had at Christmas, it just went on and on, despite brief revivals.

Hello,

Now need to
put away laundry
wash a load

hoover playroom and hall
quiche for freezer or supper (dh may only want boiled egg)
shops - yeast, stationery, stamps

Tomorrow telly goes back - on 10 days are up. It was LOVELY without it. But Dh did miss vegging in evening, and our Sat lie-in. Hope wwe can keep control of it when it goes back on again.

Hope your meeting goes well and the sponge rises beautifully. You will feel as if you are on holiday in your new bedroom!

swanriver · 25/03/2009 09:54

back on - 10 days are up.

Hope you are feeling all right today Gibbberish and not too shaky.

gibbberish · 25/03/2009 10:04

Ahh here you all are... copied and pasted from other thread lol

Good morning Thanks for all your kind wishes about dd1. dd1 is find atm swan thanks for asking x.

So far this is status with kids:

dd1 - still seems perfectly calm about whole tumour thing which is good. She is in very good spirits today actually!

dd2 - is due totm and is VERY hormonal. Burst into tears whilst playing mariokarts on ds

dd3 - was up ALL night throwing up!! Don't know whether this is the start of her getting the pox - she was the only one to miss it... please let it not be so!

dd4 - most of pox have scabbed now but still has a few blisters. Think she will be non-contagious by Friday

So am going to escape to visit my friend who is a bit down. Her mil died suddenly a few weeks ago. I missed the funeral because of all the pox and stuff so will be nice to see her.

And at SOME point I WILL get that cupboard under the stairs cleared....

Have a good day everyone

gibbberish · 25/03/2009 10:16

EV poor dd. Hope she is feeling better soon.

Can't believe how many of our little ones are under the weather atm. Do you think this freaky weather has something to do with it?

prof just worked out who you are lol lol

swanriver · 25/03/2009 10:19

Yesterday dd was screeching re: ds2 - "he's wasting loo-roll he's wasting it, stop him stop him"..
as for norms, I don't think by the evidence of this thread, there are any.
Why would we want to be NORMAL when we can be AMAZING
BBThursday definitely not before.

dyls yay for good nights sleep

swan hope TV re introduction goes smoothly!

jas enjoy cooking and baking - sounds yum!

Right, well, ahd a really fun morning here (insert sarcastic emoticon) as I have been for my (long overdue ) smear.Feeling glad I've got it done though at least.(a good Weds anti procrastination task!)
The Nurse is really horrible and seemed horrified I had brought 2 DC with me, but explained it was either that or NEVER have a smear! She was worried that DD(3) would run around and pull everything out of cupboards whilst I had it done, I told her she would sit on the chair but she didnt believe me. She then pointed to DS(happyily sat in his buggy, strapped in obviously) and said "what about him? He wont get out will he?" anyway DS didnt escape LOL and DD sat absolutely still and quiet like a little angel! Nurse was visibly shocked and begrudgingly admitted "actually they were quite good!"

Now having well earned cuppa and MN time, DD watching curious George, DS supposed to be napping but refused so now pottering round!

Done:
Morning routine
Kids to school
Dinner in slow cooker
Been for smear
Home - snack DD4

To Do :
Clean washing away
tidy round
Lunch
?baking
?craft toddlers - depending on if DS decides to nap or not

Right must dash!

wendyrednoseredhair · 25/03/2009 11:40

at you and dc and nurse escapade, galen

I am totally totally stressed! Trying to get all our money in one place for the house completion - need it all in one place to do chaps or whatever the same day transfer thingy is called to solicitor - it's all been going wrong and not arriving where it is supposed to! And BREATHE Wendy, calm down!

Mum is here bless her, she is an absolute treasure, play doughing with dc whilst I whizzed round the local banks. I don't appreciate her I don't think - must try harder to do so.

off to give mum big hug and make a cuppa for her.

Jas · 25/03/2009 11:47

@ your lovely mum wendy. God luck with the banking. When does the transfer happen?

galen - What a rude nurse! I've had to take mine when the dds were smaller, and they were fine. Wouldn't take ds though....he would destroy the room!

prof - It is not like you to let your routines slip! I hope things settle down again soon.

I've made 24 fairy cakes, stuffed peppers for me, and canneloni for everyone else so far, then cleaned and mopped the kitchen

I'm going to change beds, and hoover then go out. Back this evening

ShannaraTiger · 25/03/2009 11:53

Morning all

TMH hope you're doing ok and taking it as easy as poss.
EV and Wendy hope the poorly dc's get better soon, their are definately some nasty viruses around at the moment.
Jas hope you got your cooking and routines done.
Hello to everyone else

Have just done a quick clothes check:
Please tell me it's ok to send;
maternity nighties and over sized maternity t-shirts not/ hardly been worn.
Elasticated waist black crushed velvet long skirt and black satin t-shirt, not worn in about 3 years to the charity shop even though they are not falling apart and still look reasonable. I'm feeling guilty just putting them in the bag. Also Old jeans cut into shorts about 2 summers ago.
Basically can I justify buying myself some new summer clothes. Dp keeps telling me to but I just feel really guilty and dig out the old ones "for another summer".

Anyway summer is luckily along way off and the summer clothes aren't in the shops yet, just teh catalogues which I foolishly have about 3 sitting here looking at me.

I haven't actualy looked a t teh mission for today, I'm being completely useless at keepin up with any FLYing other than the morning routines, but at least we have clean clothes.

My stomach is telling me it's luch time so I'd better go adn finish in the bedroom, wake DS up, he's been asleep since 9:45 due to 4:30 start this morning.

Hope everyone has a good afternoon.
BBL

EustaciaVye · 25/03/2009 11:59

dd2 threw up all over me

Jas · 25/03/2009 12:01

Shanna - That is what charity shops are for! No point waiting til they are rags before getting rid. If you don't wear it and someone else might, then let it g
