swanriver · 25/03/2009 12:24

oh dear I'm back again
to say that I've cleared out food cupboard and re - alphabetized spices finding yeast, glucose, and juniper berries which I couldn't find in last three weeks when I wanted them, 5 opened packets of cumin (curried kitchen here we come) 3 leftover packets of pudding rice (spoonful in each)
Now I can fit cereal packets in cupboard

There's a lovely poem by Michael Rosen called 'No Breathing in Class' Wendy, hope money arrives in one piece and you can breathe again.

been ticked off by kerbside recycling men for not flattening my boxes enough. Will stamp on them harder next week

everything else done except quiche, dh says he feels unable to contemplate.

Well done Dylsmum
don't look again Shannara, just take them.

scattyspice · 25/03/2009 12:46

Shanna - get those clothes in the bag. Buy yourself some new clothes, it will pick you up (if you have dh blessing what are you waiting for?)

Today:
laundry put away
ds homework
out for tea with girls from work .

wendyrednoseredhair · 25/03/2009 13:27

Shannara get them to the charity shop and bless someone else with them. You deserve new clothes! I think we are all good at putting ourselves last tbh.

I know the poem swan - very very apt thank you!

dc playing nicely today keep telling each other they love each other

EV

Spoke too soon, shouting and screaming from dd to ds!

Wolfcub · 25/03/2009 13:33

shannara - new clothes for you and new clothes for the person who buys them from the charity shop. win win.

DD1 sleeping. DD2 been sick again but is noq quietly watching cbeebies. I feel awful too.

TheMadHouse · 25/03/2009 15:04

EV I am so sorry that you are all under the weather. DS1 got home from rpeschool and started complaining of a sore tum and now has dia

Shanna Do as you are told and get thee clothes to the charity shop and get yourself some new ones.

Galen what is it re nurses and smears. When I had mine 6 months after DS1 was born the nurse was horrified that I had brought them both (6mth old and 20 month old) both were stapped in - she said boys should not be subjected to this.

Wendy well done on sorting the money

I have not managed much today - I am tired, DS1 under the weather and DS2 being far to headstrong and grumpy - role on 6pm when DH gets home

Afternoon all

have got on quite well so far.

got a busy day
need to make a 10" sponge this morning done
go to toddlers done
go to meeting done
go to cakeshop and buys some dark blue icing done

pick up DS1 from school
Decorate cake
make dinner (cottage pie)
go to sugarcraft course

new bedroom furniture is in and I feel a bit like a loony - keep popping upstairs to have a look! took ages to get together so I didn't manage to get the cake done until I got home from my meeting.

Done 2 loads of washing
DS2 having a sleep

DS1 coming home with a friend so need to get a wriggle on with the cottage pie.

won't get chance to come back until tomorrow but hope you all enjoy the rest of your Wednesday's.

if you need a smile come and have a look at this

dylsmum1998 · 25/03/2009 18:15

evening all

finished my list, dd loves her invites so much that she says they are not for her friends they are for her, i printed her her own off as well, but she wants them all

have also ordered the cake tin and the food colourings for her cake. just need to sort out the rest of the party things now.

off to get the baths etc sorted out next, but they are being sweet ds is making his poster for his home work and dd is sat with him saying there a
s for stephanie
r for rabbit
t for train a for apple

so sweet, must go and sort out the glue for his paper mache he needs to finish that oart tonight so can finish the rest of it off tomorrow night

dylsmum1998 · 25/03/2009 18:18

oh before got distracted by dc being sweet i was going to ask opinions;

dd goes to dinky dancers at the mo, but she doesn't like the dance, i end up carrying her through that, she joins in the gym type bit at the end with balancing games, throwing and catching bean bags etc. so was going to take her out as she only does 10-15 min of the whole hour
is tumble tots more like the gym stuff she likes, or is there anything else out there that is. (when at park, walking up road etc she walks on the walls, climbs, walks the balance beam etc with no help)

TheMadHouse · 25/03/2009 18:52

Dyls I would change what you are doing to a more active group.

I have never done tumble tots, as neither of mine are conformist and would not do as they are told - he he he

DH got home just as I was feeding the boys and he has played, read etc to them, whilst I had a relaxing bath. It was bliss.

Now to arrange if MIL will take demanding DS2 for tomorrow afternoon, whilst mum has DS1 - wish me luck

OP posts:
dylsmum1998 · 25/03/2009 19:20

tmh thats what i was thinking, she needs something diff to the dance, she doesn't have prob conforming most of the time.my ds would never have coped with the structure, far to active and strong willed to conform.
dd asks to go to dinky dance, so must enjoy the bits she does do which is why i think a diff kind of class would be better.

EustaciaVye · 25/03/2009 19:26

dyls. check your local leisure centre. Mine has its own tumble club which is drop in rather than termly and cheaper than tumble tots.

EHM · 25/03/2009 19:41

TMH hope you gets things sorted for boys tomorrow.
dylsmum we did Dinky Dancers last year & ellie didn't like it very much too strict. The only class we do now is Mini Moovers. Lots of fun, singing, playing & relaxed. Your dc's sound very sweet.
EV sorry to read your all under the weather again. sending get well soon vibes.
galen at nurse. Our surgery actually suggested that I bring Ellie along when I was struggling to get an appointment with the nurse. There is also one female dr who will do smears. Good for you for not missing a smear. Well done dc's for being very well behaved.
power is the bedroom furniture for you or dc's?
wendyglad to read no new spots.Breathe it will all be ok.
jashope you had a good day?
swan am impressed will your 10 day tv ban. We have same Recycling Police too. A little power really goes to their heads.
gibberish hope you & friend have nice catch up. I am sure a friendly face will lift her spirits.
profnormal..whats that? good luck anyway
shann go & treat yourself.
scatty hello.

Had splitting headache all day. Ellie has been a little madam today. refusing to do anything I ask her. She also bit me when we where leaving soft play

I am off to read my book in bed. Night Ladies

TheMadHouse · 25/03/2009 21:09

EHM Doesnt sound at all like Ellie - she is the same as as DS2, so I guess it is just a phase - I bloody hope so. Hope the head is better in the morning

MIL she siad yes, so Collect Ds1 from preschool, drive both to mums for lunch, leave DS1 with mum and then drop DS2 at MIL. DH will collect DS1 on way home from work and MIL will drop DSs off on the way for their weekly shop - SORTED you dont get if you dont ask

I am sore tonight, but have had a really nice curry and the washer is on

Need to reload it and then off to bed for me.
