hello all hope all are having a good day.

TheMadHouse · 14/03/2009 16:24

Hello everyone and thank you for all the messages of goodwill.

It turns out they think my body was rejecting the impants. Once the drains were removed I was oozing from everyhere, so had emergency surgery yesterday.

I have bags a free pass home for the weekend and will be back in on Monday.

I am on a tonne of anti B's and now have a very scared and messy cheast, but at least I am here and the risk is massivly reduced.

So I will need to see the ladies on the breast cancer department and look at some prostetise things for now and then make a deicion on how to proceed. My consultant was very upset and they could not believe that this was happening as it is pretty unusual to reject impants

Wolf I was very dorry to here the news of your MIL's surgery, please pass on my toughts, she must be devistated

Ruby I am also sorry that someone run into your new car - how very dare they - but I was pleased to here you are all well.

DH is out with DS2 getting provisions for the party and DS1 is asleep in bed next to me

galen thanks for the thread. will send you the article - do you want to email me your address? wendylanguage at tiscali cot co dot uk
swan enjoy the party
everyone hi [waves]

DH and i had the afternoon child free! dropped at MIL at 11 and picked up at 6 - it was good. went shopping to a monsoon outlet and bought a dress for the hen weekend - in two weeks' time - fifties type white and black polka dots, lush! just need shoes and the radley bag lol! also got some basketball shoes for DH who plays in a club once a week and keeps doing his ankle in as he hasn't got the proper footwear.

Took dc to the bank with their money they raised selling red nose buns to relatives. More gorgeous DD said to the lady behind the counter the money was for the poor children, because we are very very lucky children MOments like that make it all worthwhile.

Off to watch first ever episode of sex and the city - dh bought me box set for xmas and just getting round to it!

sdee you all tomorrow

Wolfcub · 14/03/2009 22:39

ladies I need parenting advice. Do I take ds to the train station with me tomorrow and risk upsetting him there but having him know that I have gone somewhere or do I leave him at home and just act like I've gone to the supermarket so that he has no reason to be upset but then risk having him realise later that mum isn't coming home?

When he was younger he never made a fuss when I left but if I was away for more than a night he used to ignore me for days after I came home.

swanriver · 15/03/2009 00:43

Wolf I would tell him you are going but not take him to train station. If he's anything like my train fanatic, wanting to get ON the train will be enough to set him off.
My sister's little one used to do the ignoring thing too. But that was in the absence of BOTH parents.
But he will have your dh, so it really isn't so bad. They will have a cosy time together, doing things their own way. The dss get on very well with dad for precisely this reason.
just saying hope birthday goes well tomorrow TMH you are very brave.

EHM · 15/03/2009 07:39

TMH lovely to see you on here. sorry that you've had to o through so much crap again. Hope ds1's party is lots of fun.
wolfhave a good trip. can't meet up this time as dh away. but maybe next time?Hope ds is ok it must be so hard. How is you MIL?
wendy how exciting that you will have your keys hopefully by easter.hope you enjoy Sex & the City.I LOVE IT! Dress sounds fab.
swanhope twins have great birthday today & had lots of fun yesterday.
scatty hope baby sitting went well?
grouchy go on strike an impressive list as ever. men!
gibberishhope there wasn't too much mess?
dylsmumhope you had a good day.

Have agreat day all.x.x.

EustaciaVye · 15/03/2009 08:57

wolf - how old is ds? I would take him and make a chart of the nights you are away and the things he is doing each day so he can visualise it.

I have had a nice lie in this morning. But my house looks like a nuclear bomb has gone off in it

dylsmum1998 · 15/03/2009 09:11

morning all
have had an awful nights sleep, worrying bout my sis (probs with her other half) and then when did finally drop off my neighours where having a drunken row right outside door
have just spent an hour distracting dd as her anti-b's have to be taken an hour before food and she woke up starving.
go in the fridge and we have no milk- so have made her weetabix with yazzooo choc milk on . she seems to be enjoying it

today i need to
phone sis
go asda
clean its a ip in my living room!!

dylsmum1998 · 15/03/2009 09:13

wolf i would not take ds if he is young- when my sis and neice visited recently both dd and neice were distraught when not getting on train together. dd cried for about 10 mins and then sobbed on and off the rest of way home. depending on his understanding i would leave him home explain you're goign away fr few days and similar to EV idea get him to cross days off on calendar or similar

Wolfcub · 15/03/2009 09:21

Morning all

mad I hope that ds has a lovely birthday

ev he is 2.4

dyls swan you are right I think, normally I would have thought he would have been fine but he got upset last night because granny was on the phone and he couldn't give her a cuddle so I think he is at that age when they begin to realise you aren't there. Bit of a bummer really because I was going to phone and speak to him/read a story every night but now I think it might do more harm than good.

I have done a bit of quick tidying and made pancakes for brekkie. Off for a shower and frantic ironing and packing now.

Have a lovely day all

wendyrednoseredhair · 15/03/2009 09:25

Hi wolf agree with not taking ds to railway station and think EV has a good idea in making a chart. Can you write a note for each bedtime you are away for dh to read to ds so he knows you are thinking of him? Must be awful the ignoring thing on your return. anyway have a good trip - where you off, anyway?
dyls hope dd is ok and to the chcolate weetabix and for the rubbish night's sleep
EH hi and have a good day
EV hope your tidying goes well - i know the nuclear bombsite well, it is common in my house too - but at least with flying it's easy to rectify! In my life BF (Before Flying lol) it would take me hours and hours to tidy up the mess. These days it's much easier as everything has a place and there's much less clutter.

speaking of which, must do some decluttering today.

To do today
swimming in a minute with dc
what's for lunch
My mum coming for tea tonight - sausage pasta bake - make a pudding!
washing
perhaps pop to the shops - need to buy a bin for the bathroom

bbl ladies and have good days
