Hello Bianca

Mini party this pm, so `I need to get cleaning. Hopefully will be back t relax, this evening (when you are all in bed!)

dylsmum1998 · 25/02/2009 09:47

jas your cakes look great. dd is sat on my lap and saw the castle one and says i want that cool castle one!

BiancaCastafiore · 25/02/2009 10:07

Love the cake Jas Is it ds's birthday?! He can't be 3 already!!!

I have cleaned and tidied dds bedroom It never looks very tidy but I think that's just because she likes her stuff - knick knacks and odds and ends everywhere; FLYgirl she is not
On to do ds bedroom next. His is smaller and easy to keep tidy as most of his toys are still stored in the playroom.
Feeling very motivated not sure what that's about!

Good news Wendy.
I'm on mental health thread worrying about driving so if anyone is out there with the answer please add your thoughts! But I'm sure you are all formula one racing drivers in disguise.
No I'm not anywhere, I am off now but bbl.

TheMadHouse · 25/02/2009 10:44

Hello All

Swan What have you given up for lent then? I am thinking, was going to give up alcahol, but that would be too easy as I dont really drink a lot. I am thinking about not trying to control everything

Need to go collect the bous in 5 mins.

Have stripped their beds and bedding in washer

Gotta dash TTFN

swanriver · 25/02/2009 11:08

Last year TMH I gave up alcohol, and it was quite hard, but by (40 days is a long long time) Easter, didn't care whether I had a drink or not... It is a good test of one's dependence on the stuff.

This year I am going to give up talking in negative way to dcs and try and phrase my requests authoratively .

TMH you do not need to give up anything just enjoy everything that is good whether that means being a planning type of person, or having a glass of wine or a large cream bun.

galen · 25/02/2009 11:20

Morning all

Everyone seems so busy today.
Wendy Glad top trumps won yesterday. A game of that can last such a long time too. Haven't played it for ages here though. Hope the house purchase goes smoothly.
Sag I should do the "eat less crap" diet too. Had fruit for breakfast today, but it's likely to go downhill at lunchtime! Have baked flapjack though with sesame seeds, so that counts as healthy.
TMH How did you sleep last night?
Jas I love the cakes - the castle must have taken ages. DD would love that.

Didn't get back on here yesterday as spent much longer tidying/cleaning DD's room that I planned, but she did say thank you as soon as she went up there yesterday (ahhh) so it has been appreciated.

To do:
Reading (have been neglecting this)
Empty dishwasher
Hang towels
Wash bathroom mats
Ironing
Make shepherd's bottom (meat bit of shepherd's pie of course, but sometimes we have that bit with rice so it's shepherd's bottom here).

Now to get on.

EustaciaVye · 25/02/2009 11:25

Hi Ruby - thank you so much. You have saved me about a fiver as all the other places like asdadirect etc had it more expensive to start with. Also, several places were out of stock so I had no garantee of actually getting it. Point being - your efforts are very much appreicated

Swan. have posted but not much help i'm afraid.

sagacious · 25/02/2009 11:44

Hi all.

Lent huh? I'm giving up shopping ! Good luck with the abstenencies sag and the calmess swan and galen. Mad - you shouldn't be giving up anything, you have enough to contend with!

Swan - I admire you for cutting back on tv. Mine probably watch too much . I think not having SKY is the key. Mine are watching less as they grow out of cebeebies (esp as DVD player is broken). I will go find your drivimg thread (I hate driving though).

To do:
collect new car
bed room cleaning
ds homework
laundry
mission
