afternoon all

There were rows and tears in the wolf house this morning, dp's job stress is taking its toll. God it's bloody hard being in a relationship sometimes.

done

bed made
living room and kitchen tidied
dry washing folded
wet washing hung up
dw unloaded and contents put away
bathroom s&s
ds taken to granny's
Curry's given the bollocking they so richly deserve!

Need to buy ingredients and make mother's birthday cake tonight then I can ice it tomorrow

mad I have my eyebrows waxed too, it makes a massive difference to my face, I also get them died but DP doesn't know this and thinks that it is the waxing that makes them darker - I am in no hurry to inform him otherwise.

jas cake looks fab

Wolfcub · 25/02/2009 13:20

wendy congrats on the house!

TheMadHouse · 25/02/2009 13:29

Wolf Sometimes you need to clear the air. DH refuses to let his stresses from work come into our home life and I have to say he is very good at it, although he does have the journey home to unwind. What does DP do? I think it is really hard, but the thing that makes replationships work is not being complacent about them and actually keep working at them, otherwise well I believe you lose the spark.

What did Currys do?

I have catapillars on my eyes without waxing, as I am very dark brown haired.

swanriver · 25/02/2009 13:52

Wolf sometimes what I perceive to be a personal attack is a merely dh feeling bolshy before or after work. Yest he came home walked in door and started ranting about how hot the house was. But I think this was a statement of fact (he was hot having walked up the hill), although I immediately assumed it was a criticism of my thermostatic arrangements.
This morning he said to me - why are you always so miserable and gloomy when I return from work to which I replied because you are rude to me the minute you walk in the door. So we are both really . So prickles away we are both going to try harder.

Thanks for driving support, I have driven to Soft play centre very fast (tho' not really a dcwy)thro' relatively uncharted territory and booked party for dd in March.
Ds2 wants an Indiana Jones with cactuses and rattlesnakes party, so his will be homegrown.

HerbWoman · 25/02/2009 14:16

Afternoon all

wolf hope this evening is calmer and you can both have a hug. I hate arguing with DH and it usually happens because one of us is grumpy about something completely unrelated. I'm not backward about pointing this out to DH either.

Done
DW emptied
Washing up done
Shepherd's bot cooked
Towels washed
Talked to mum on phone

Haven't sorted any real routines yet either, and the bathroom s&s (took me a while to figure out what you meant with that one - fancy a flybaby not knowing that!) doesn't happen.

Still haven't done any reading so am off to do that now in the little time left before school run.

swan too much tv here means worse behaviour from DD in particular. I tend to keep it in check if I can, then feel like I'm being an ogre . Dr Who is DD's favourite, although she can't watch them all as some are way too scary for her. All are too scary for DS at the moment.

scatty have you got your car yet?

TheMadHouse · 25/02/2009 14:48

Hello again

I have had an hour of backyardigans with DS1 - lovley
I have also popped another load of bedding in the washer
Wiped down all the kitchen tops

I forgot I need to take DS2 to the opticians yet again - so will ask Homestart helper to wastch DS1 - perhaps he can go out on his bile as it is glorious outside

DS2 is up and having a snack and drink.

I need to pop his ironed clothes away
Make DS1's bed (need feather bed from loft as mum will be sleeping in it at the weekend and she needs softness) - so that can wait till DH is home
Polish downstairs
Aldi shopping list for tomorrow
Tesco shop arriving tonight
Hair to colour - DH can do
Bag to pack - may do this tomorrow
Pressies to wrap

Still wobbling every now and again, but will be fine

EHM · 25/02/2009 17:17

swan i've posted on your thread.

Ellie is refusing to go to the toilet & has had 2 massive wees in her trousers today. One at preschool, one at home. Her little friend was in the toilet & she was refusing to use the toilet upstairs.

TMH I've sent you something today for hospital. My mum bought me something similar when I went in for my bowel removal in 2000. I kept it with me the whole time during & after the operation & my recovery. Just to let you know I am thinking of you. You are one of the very bravest ladies I've had the pleasure of getting to know & an inspiration. I completely understand that you must be feeling wobbly. You will be fine. Don't want to upset you just wanted to say this.

I've said enough I am off.

EHM · 25/02/2009 17:18

mad house. At least when you are post-op your delirium will be a result of morpine and not nerves

grouchyoscar · 25/02/2009 18:54

Hello Again to One and All

DH has

Vacced stairs
Vacced landing
Vacced front room
Tidied the CD shelves in the front room
Made tea for Ed
Making tea for us

I have since last post

Been to be a dinnerlady
Been to be a reading friend to 5 friends
Home
Made Ed's lunch
Got Ed's uniform out for tomorrow
Done some phonics with Ed
Got him ready for bed and put him in it

Quite releived that DH has done a bit of the housework cos I was finding work/volentary activities/work and FLYing for the past 3 weeks was getting rather tough.

Tomorrow I'm having a day off my usual charging about and just catching up with the various stages of laundry.

Hope you are well and brilliant ( for those who aren't)

TheMadHouse · 25/02/2009 19:19

Just waiting for Tesco order to arrive and then will colour hair

I am not too bad at the moment

Have washer on
Need to get DS1's coat dry for tomorrow

List for tomorrow whilst I remember

Aldi shop with mum
Bring mum back
Pop to £1 shop (may do that at lunch time)
Cook up some freezer food
Write menu plan on calender
Pack bag
Play with boys
ironing
Hope new bedding arrive and gets washed and ironed
Wrap DS1's birthday pressies

mad 32 hey - just an average day then!Sounds like youre doing great. Hope the hair colour goes well
swan good list - youre doing well. Likw the idea of burning paper promises for the ashes.
herbwoman sounds like youre doing great. Routines take a while to establish, and then often need tweaking and re establishing IMHO!

Quite like the thought of a couple of hours where she is in nursery and DS naps....But I still think of her as so little LOL

Right off to read.
mad hope you get a good nights sleep

See you all tomorrow

Wolfcub · 25/02/2009 20:04

evening all mad we work together in the same organisation although we do different jobs, usually we manage to decompress on the way home, job can be quite stressful at times, but dp is in a particularly shitty situation which has been going on since before xmas and is stressing him badly. Luckily we are the sort of couple who (usually) explode and five minutes later we are carrying on as normal, neither of us really dwells on things unless it's really bad. When it's bad you don't want to be anywhere near the wolf house

swan it was a similarly daft situation we had, we were sorting washing and dp said that we needed a wardrobe in the living room because of the pile of dry washing waiting to be put away - i took this as a criticism and bit back and it all exploded from there - he did say sorry when he'd calmed down, he hates it when I cry he is totally incapable of handling it.

grouchy take it easy, feet up tomorrow

done
went to morrisons to buy cake ingredients
picked ds up - mother subsequently ruined all enthusiasm I had for making her a cake grr, what is it with my piggin family at the moment
cake made!
dw unloaded, reloaded and on
kitchen floor swept
kithcen floor mopped

just off to get cake out of tins, dp is treating us to a takeaway and we are going to snuggle up and watch masterchef and a film and drink wine (at his suggestion). all is well chez wolf

dylsmum1998 · 25/02/2009 21:27
