Hello all, just popping on I am doing my homework for my friend who is doing her English A level!
winnie Don't crash and burn! Don't do too much. Keep with baby steps and just try to build up some routines slowly. Stick with us this first few weeks is the hardest.
Galen glad you had a good night out, you deserve it after this week you've had
Mad glad you had another good day too
grouchy hope you've taken it easier today
Wolf Enjoy the gin Btw I absolutely love your hair!
EV on flood, hope it's sorted

dyls glad new mattress is good!
Sorry to anyone I forgot!
See you all tomorrow

swanriver · 22/02/2009 19:35

Have a wonderful cuddle with ds Wolfcub, and lots of gin!
Scatty, don't be put off by the ravings of those with three kids, it is worth it..
Grouchy, I think all our baking is in fact a variant of sandwaterplaydough.
Lovely cousins gone, children played nicely, food was alright and ds2 was charming to visiting baby and didn't do usual mad jumping up and down that he does to grownup kids. So, must have people over more often.

Think halfterm has taken its toll onn my mental health without me realising it, need this evening to completely recharge, potter around sorting socks and thinking positive thoughts instead of manic ones. Had a nice chat with dh, really the only answer is to get on with each other.
Galen, glad you saw your bridesmaid happily engaged at last!
Dylsmum, another friend always feels like you when her dc is away with his dad despite knowing he is quite safe I think it is just impossible to switch off protective instinct. It's great that she can see him.

Now to read dcs a story.

evening all

I have had a really nice family weekend. Limited creen time for all - DS1 and DH only had 30 mins on the wii all weekend.

Swan I agree regarding half term - it has left me out of wack too.

Wendy I was going to ask how your tutoring was going

Greyskull Cake pictures please

Dlys Hope the cold isnt any worse

EV Pants about the garage, hope it is on its way to being fixed and that you didnt lose anything unreplaceable

Ruby have mailed you

Sag Are you taking any ecenacha and zinc and magnesium? I hope you are on the mend finally

Groucy Dont push Boris or he will bite back

Wolf Enjoy the gin

Winnie Wendy Speaks from experiance, dont push things, take it slow.

Jas, EHM, Luda, Bianca, Tort and anyone else - I hope you had a nice half term and catch up with you next week

I am going to have a nice bath and then a list of what needs doing during the week. Also going to draw up the final menu plan, boys looking after list adn get DH to print off some energency numbers for everyone.

Yes I am a control freak, DH understands and is humouring me, so you all have to aswell

winnie09 · 22/02/2009 20:57

you are all so lovely

the challenge is going to be keeping at it once back at work. However, I am finding 15 minute bursts of activity very productive.

Sorted ds's clothes this evening and now have clothes for tomorrow to sort and packed lunch to make.

ds won't settle after 3 nights with Dad so I am off to try to settle him again

dylsmum1998 · 22/02/2009 21:22

winnie it is difficult keeping up when you are out the house all day. i'm a student so out of the house 3 full days a week, i do find things slip on my days at uni. i have got into the routine where i do bare minimum on these days. i usually do quick tidies and hoovers etc. usualy manage the mission for the day and thats it.
i find i do my home blessing over the weekend on whichever day is emptiest.
good luck settling ds- how old is he??

I am out of the house 5 days a week but collect ds from school on 3 of those days. To be honest if I can get into a routine I just know it will make life easier. My house was really getting me down and I was seriously thinking of getting professional cleaners in to do a big 'spring clean' but I was too lol! Now I feel like I can handle it. (Remind me I said that as the week moves on )

Ds is 8 dylsmum1998.

What is a home blessing? Actually, I am going to have a look at flylady.net for 10 mins.....

dylsmum1998 · 22/02/2009 21:37

home blessing- if i do it right anyway, for me involves

changing sheets
thorough hoover (under sofa etc) of whole flat
wash all floors
thorough scrub in bathroom
and clearing all the hotspots (places like my coffee table which get covered in clutter throughout the week)
