Just bookmarking for later. Looks like everyone's having a busy day today. BBL if I get a chance!

galen · 12/02/2009 09:38

swan thanks for thread
mad have a good busy morning
greyskull do you do cake decorating?I would love to be able to do that. I love baking, but am rubbish when it comes to fancy decorating - don't think I've got the patience! Also I'm not very artistic...LOL

Well seems we've joined in on the disastrous sleep front here LOL. DD4 was up and down till 1.00 am last night She didn't seem ill, but was aking for stupid things like a plaster, her slippers and a bath????This morning though she definately isn't well. She's a bit hot and is just lying on the sofa - so not like her. Bless her.So no music toddlers this morning .
DS slept OKish. Up at 4.30 for a bottle. Then up at 5.30 - couldn't face getting up at that time so brought him into our bed and he snuggled back to sleep - then we all overslept till 7.20
Mad ppanic and rush to get to school - of course it would be the morning DS needed to be 10 mins early to go on a trip....
Not much flying done here yet therefor!

So to do:
S&S bathrooms
Tidy upstairs
Laundry reboot
Sort dinner
Bit of planning for half term ( need to find out what is on and make some plans so we dont waste the whole week!)
Sort birthday flowers for mum on Monday

Will try and crack on while Ds naps and DD is on sofa....

Have good mornings everyone
BBL

still recovering from yesterdy. Participated in THREE sessions of dodgeball at Beavers followed by bkclub dinner at a friend's (my book choice - which I have to say was a bit inpenetrable - noone had finished it followed by early morning chasing of kids for bits of paper with signatures etc.
As usual one night off leads to extreme chaos next day due to all little things not done.
But, ds2 loved Beavers (his first session standing in for his twin sis). For ten mins in middle of dodgeball they had to write sentences (for display) about what BULLYING consisted of, in their animal lodges (he is a fox) and he took great pride in writing "bullying is saying my games are babyish". One of little girls of 7/8(there are only three girls) wrote "b is when people gang up you' and then whispered in my ear - "and some of those people are HERE" {shock].
So I'm thrilled that ds2 is participating, rather like you Scatty with gym club (although I am there lol)

Now
TIDYING before work at 11.00
and some errands later. need some food. Luckily going to countryside this weekend to see parents so a bit less needed.

swanriver · 12/02/2009 09:43

7.20 sounds good Galen. You'll feel all the better for it today.
I need to plan half term too. You have struck a terrible fear into me. I need to buy FOOD for halfterm.

OP posts:
sagacious · 12/02/2009 10:00

Hi all
Half term has started early here as school has added on two inset days.

WHINGE WHINGE WHINGE

Sainsburys have delivered the weeks shopping and I've put away the chilled stuff.

Dc's are in there pj's playing on the wii

Theres so much I wanted to get done today (trip out and sorting out ds's bedroom) ho hum

swanriver · 12/02/2009 10:03

You are AHEAD. You have done your errands!!
But seriously, sorry to hear that you are feeling awful. I'm sure kids are loving being in their pjs just relaxing/wiifitting.

Morning all!

Wll I had really good intentions on Saturday then ds4 started throwing up in the night and yesterday was his first whole day without he's 8mths old but little only 16lb 2wks ago so he seems to small to be so poorly. Needless to say I haven't got going with the flying yet, I am going to set my timer and do something useful while he is asleep and check back later. Haven't read thread as I need to get started or I'll just sit here but hope all are ok.

EHM · 12/02/2009 10:53

Hi Everybody.

Have a great day all.x

swanriver · 12/02/2009 11:00

EHM - don't think it was very serious "bullying" - she was very good at standing up for herself and Beaver leader had excellent control of the group. Just thought it was a bit of a witty riposte on her part to the riotous boy element!

Done
quite a lot of crumbcleaning and pile shifting
made old workplace telephone call was dreading - fine!
Off to school now.

OP posts:
galen · 12/02/2009 12:13

Popping in briefly.
sag sorry youre still feeling rough. take it easy
dame Poor little DS.Hope he picks up quickly. my Ds 2 was ill over Christmas when he was 9months. Horrible seeing them poorly when theyre that little ( mind you he is not "little" like your DS - he is well over 25 lbs LOL - mind you he was 10 lb when he was born - 19 days late LOL!)
swan well done on the phone call - I hate awkward calls. And glad Ds enjoyed beavers.

Well DD still on the sofa - she does keep getting up, but then wanders back... says she's not poorly but she's def not right...

Done:
some half term planning
Dinner made
Washing updated!
Kitchen tidy

To do now:
Sort mums B'day flowers
Sweep floors
Still need to S&S...
quick browse of hoovers .... mine is about to die totally LOL - any recommendations for reliable effective cheap hoover?

Right must dash
BBL!

sagacious · 12/02/2009 14:36
