Morning all

TMH thanks for the thread.
scatty run sounds very impressive. I've been watching paul Mckenna's I can make you thin on linving all week. I think I'm going to buy the book and start going for the weight and excercise mind control.

We're havign a good morning today.
Done:

Morning routine
Dry washing put away
Bathroom cleaned, hasn't happened for ages.
It's 8:30,we're all ready to go to school and don't need to leave for 10 minutes ?
I'll be back later with a list for today, possibly going to soft play gym with ds, depending on how tired he is.
Have a good morning

stressed2007 · 09/01/2009 08:39

ok newbie here - sorry for silly question

is the mission for old hands?

baby steps for newbies?

or are you supposed to do both?

dylsmum1998 · 09/01/2009 09:32

morning all.
scatty enjoy the run, your very good doing that
tmh thanks fr thread. not been on for a while- how is ds collarbone??
shnnnara you sound organised
stressed just start with the babysteps, then when you have your routine then try the missions ( i think thats right anyway!)

i'm not very good at flying at themo. must get back to it!!
after a mad but fun christmas with people everywhere nothing much got done, and now nack to nursery/school/uni not much time. i have thid morning to fix everything. i know thats never gonna happen soo i going to spend 15 mins doing each of the following to see how far i can get;

ironing
kitchen
living room
dd and my bedroom
bathroom
hall

we have our introductory session at dinky dancers this afternoon so need to have an ealry lunch as it starts at 1 and need to get there a little early. so that leaves me about 2 hours to clean and get lunch sorted. whch sounds plenty but dd has a cold again and is clingy. so not sure how the dancing is gonna go either later but ho hum best at least try o do something.

TheNewYearNewMadHouse · 09/01/2009 09:35

Morning all

Right, back from preschool, showered, fed and wiggled out with DS1.

We are off to music and movement
then this thing at Childrens centre
then lunch and then to friends

So minimal flying today, but I am shattered, so that is fine by me

intravenouscoffee · 09/01/2009 09:42

Morning all.

Stressed The idea is that if you're totally new, or have been flying and stopped for a while but want to get back into it, that you begin with babysteps and go from there. Within about a week or so you'll be starting on the missions but if you want to give them a go alongside babystepping it'd be fine. Just try not to go mad and attempt to clean everything at once! Welcome to the Fly thread

Slow morning here. DD fell over just before bedtime last night and banged her eyebrow which swelled up like a balloon! Cue trip to A and E to make sure her eye socket wasn't fractured (it wasn't) and she now has a black eye that would make a boxer wince. Doesn't seem to be bothering her but think we'll have a quiet one today.

swanriver · 09/01/2009 09:42

Stressed2007 I think you are supposed to stay on babysteps, eg; establish your routines before moving onto deep cleaning activities such as missions. ie: no point mopping floor if you haven't got dressed yet.

Back from school run/walk.
TO DO
kitchen rescue 10 mins
Playroom rescue 10 mins
S & S bathrooms 10 mins
Change beds 20 mins
Coffee and eat some more leftover Xmas dec
Walk to recycling shop with some more clothes
Buy some food for weekend on way
Walk to library with library books
Buy some more food
(What's for dinner fish, mashed potatoes, leeks, tomato sauce, apple cake)
Mission floor mopping (2 weeks since mopped)
Lunch (leftovers)

Sweep outside porch and backyard
Prepare mashed potato, sauce, apple cake
Swimming things ready for afterschool in car.

Read book before pickup

Read book till pickup

swanriver · 09/01/2009 09:48

Wolfcub that is an early start, can you have a little pm nap before ds comes back from nursery? You have done an enormous amount already, I feel embarrassed to say I never do any housework before 9.30 except for dc stuff (maybe that counts) Am trying to change my routine by going to bed much earlier, and not do housework late at night.

Amapoleon · 09/01/2009 09:56

I never thought I would say this but I am really enjoying this. I am doing it little by little and sticking to the mission. I have cleaned things in my kitchen that I didn't even know were dirty!

So far today

I have s and s bathroom
made beds
swept
done the counters
cleaned fronts of kitchen cupboards
cleaned hood and front of oven [daren't look inside]
washed washing machine drawer.

Next on my hit list are the stairs, I have got piles of the kids toys on them.

My house has never looked so clean and I've only been flying since Tuesday. It made me laugh when it said 15 minutes to sort out the fridge, it took me an hour but I suppose it will take 15 mins next time.

EHM · 09/01/2009 10:00

MAD Thanks for the thread & the your comment on FB about selling the Pram. How is DS1..still sore?Enjoy M&M.
scattyGood luck with the run..wow!
shannaraEnjoy soft play.
Welcome stressed2007 hope you enjoy the thread.they are the loveliest bunch of ladies.
dylsmum We did Dinky Dancers for about 6 months at the beginning of last year. Ellie loved it!
wolfclub5! hope you get some rest later?
coffeeouch! glad ok.
swanriver an impressive list.

Very cold, foggy here today. Have to post Thank You Cards & trip to Supermarket. Small pile of ironing to do. Will wash tonight as only small amount. We slept until 810, cuddle dd until 835 then we both got up. Must get on!

Have a great day ALL & HELLO to ALL who will follow

PS I apologise for being such a rubbish fly friend on the thread. I am spending so much time flying, organising, decluttering. I don't always get the time, I know I should make time

Wolfcub · 09/01/2009 10:02

'swan' dp was snoring and I couldn't sleep I am hoping tjat a house alarm and new bed will help me to get the first decent nights sleep in months.
Alarm people are now drivinge nuts and in suspect I am going to be trapped in he house all day urgh

swanriver · 09/01/2009 10:02

I have closed my eyes to fridge until I bring foodshopping. It is a terrible treasure trove of Christmas gravy etc.

Wolfcub · 09/01/2009 10:05

ehm it's lovely to see you and you are a great fly friend whether you post evey day or once a year

colouritpink · 09/01/2009 10:06

Good morning!
I'm new to this fly-ing lark but feeling inspired by you all! My ultimate aim is to get from one end of the house to the other without having to step over anything but I'm starting with baby steps!

Hello everyone.

welcome colouritpink and stressed2007.

Hi Amapoleon - Hadnt noticed you over here. LennieD had her baby - details on PN thread if you havent seen.

Quiet day today so plan to catch up on housework.

dylsmum1998 · 09/01/2009 10:25

amapolean i think it may take me that long to do my fridge as well, it desperately needs doing (i'm cheating and doing the bits of the flat people may see if they pop in first.
so far have done the washing up
the ironing
and cleaned away the -crap- wonderfully important things that were all over the kitchen sides.

EHM glad Ellie liked Dinky dancers am thinkind dd will from what i have read on it she follows dance dvd's if they are on, and nursery say she's always first in the queue when they put music etc on or doing action ryhmmes etc.

am off now to do 15 mins in the living room and bathroom. have cheated a little > have put dd in front of a thomas dvd in the hope she'll leave me alone for a bit!!

Hey Ho Ladies

I'm feeling very perky this morning
For once everything is going ok! Well actually the house is a complete tip but I'm not overly fussed about that

I have just been walking (new years resultion) I cannot believe I live in such a glorious place...I'm very lucky. [sigh]

LOL anyway I had better go and put some of my good vibe energy into the house other wise I might not stay so happy when DH comes home and sees that all I've been doing is walking about in the hills!

Simply · 09/01/2009 10:50

Happy New Year to everyone.

I've been decluttering and was getting somewhere but we've had a setback house wise (I don't want to say too much in case anyone in RL recognises me) which means that the decluttering I've done so far has proved very useful but I need to do more. The house, though is upside down atm and won't be much better for another 2 months due to work needing to be done. It's hard to declutter when you've got several empty rooms and one stuffed with all the furniture so you can barely get in the door!

Right. I've got someone coming shortly so I'll sign off and do what I can with to tidy up before he comes. Bye for now!

swanriver · 09/01/2009 10:52

kitchen rescue done (40 mins)
change 3 beds (20 mins)
sheets in wm
never getting as far up as my bedroom oh dear
now for playroom

AnneOfAvonlea · 09/01/2009 10:58

Hi Simply

I'm just about to go and do my kitchen, honest.

galen · 09/01/2009 11:01

Morning all!
IVcoffee hope dd's eye gets better soon
wolf wow early start - but you got loads done!

Had later start here today. DS actually went back to sleep after his 5am feed ( unusual LOL) so we all slept in till 7 - late for us LOL
Still I had lots organised last night, so not too much chaos this morning!Thankfully Ds seems happpier today too!And it's Friday - no dinner to prepare as it's our easy tea night, pizza for me and DH, and something out of freezer for kids YAY!

So have done:
All up, fed dressed etc...
bathrooms S&S
beds made
breakfast tidied , DW reoaded
WM on
School run, including remembering to get petrol, and calling into office for new book bag for DD3!

Been to Asda for a few bits and bobs - bought a new mop, and found myslef browsing the cleaning aisle with enthusiasm
So not planning on doing too much today.
House not as much of a tip as usual on a Friday!
Need to:
Make leek and pot soup and bread for tomorrows lunch
quick hoover upstairs
Sort and put away dry washing
10 mins of ecluttering on bedroom drawers

That's about it!

Right off to play with 4 BBL!
