Anybody want to join me in some crisis cleaning today?

Last thing I want to be doing on xmas eve, BUT just realised that although we will be at other peoples houses for xmas etc, we are constantly visiting family until the 29th, which is my DDs birthday and we are having guests over!

So, anyway, I am going to try and do some flylady style crisis cleaning - don't get on with the rest of the flylady stuff but this sounds like it might work!

Only have a couple of hours though as I have to go into town to meet DH on his break to get last min xmas stuff.

DD tagging along, although hoping to get bits started now - waashing on etc, easy bits and then do the proper crisis cleaning when she goes for a nap, and then go out when she wakes up.

Also waiting for a delivery before 12pm.

AND still have a few bits of wrapping to do!
ARGH!

Right, first runs:
15 Mins - Tidying back room
15 mins - Upstairs
15 mins - kitchen and bathroom (both fairly clean and tidy so will do them both in same run).

Might be back in between, but if not, I will be back after the 45 mins to have a 15 min mumsnet break!

Done my first 45 min run. I am without DD for a bit as I was meant to be visiting family today for xmas but stayed at home as ill but sent DD with my mum anyway as everybody really wanted to see her. Which is why I really want to get everything done now and then when she comes home, we can have a play and probably a bath together and then when she goes to bed and DH gets home, we can relax.

Having a quick 15 min break to sit on mumsnet, loo, drink etc and then will get going for another 45 min (If DD doesn't come back before then).

Next 45 mins:
15 min in living room
15 min in hallway
15 taking everything upstairs to make room for DDs birthday on money (xmas stuff etc)

Then I should be back on here.

I'm back again! Done my 45mins again. Won't have much of a "break" this time as DD will be home soon and still got lots to do.

My back room now looks SOOOOO much better. Still needs a hoover which I will do later on and can then set up some of DDs new toys in there as there is too much for the living room.

Still got lots to do in living room and hallway (came in at 11pm last night with a big car load of stuff that all needs sorting through!

Upstairs is an absloute tip - but not worried about that yet as I only need downstairs sorted for DDs birthday and I will then deal with upstairs when we are all better and I have more time.

Right off to do:
15 mins off sorting through xmas presents etc
15 mins run round taking recycling out, rubbish out, washing in washer etc - general stuff
15 min tidying living room

Am I all alone today?

Done first 2 on list. Now off for 15 min living room tidy up.

Good news! I got everything done in time for DDs birthday, which was my aim. Upstairs stayed a tip but doesn't matter for now and will tackle that problem later.

Bad new - had a party for DD today and the house has been left in a total tip! People started to arrive at 12pm and last person left at gone 10pm! So a 10 hour party! Wrapping paper, washing up, toys etc everywhere!

This Crisis cleaning lark is really helping though. Off to London for the day tomorrow so want to try and get the worst done tonight before bed (having sleep issues anyway so why not!) DH will be here tomorrow and can leave hoovering etc to him but he is crap at tidying and just moves things around. Also, can take rubbish and recyclying with me tomorrow and drop off at my mums who has much better recyclying than us.

I am back to the Crisis cleaning on new years day! Downstairs was all done really nicely but have since had a party for DD, people over and just general hecticness. Should be able to get downstairs done today though, and then can concentrate on the bombsite upstairs!

My Plan:
15 mins in kitchen
15 mins back room
15 mins in living room.

IF DD stays asleep.

Anybody around to join me today?
