Good morning EHM and TMH, have been absent for a while, laid low with every bug possible, the house looks terrible again and I am really panicing, I don't know where to start.

BiancaCastafiore · 18/12/2008 10:32

Morning

TMH

Exciting EHM, have a great time at your parents x I'll be putting something in the post for Ellie today (I hope it reaches you before you go away!)

WTWWW sorry you've all been poorly Hope you manage to make some progress today x 15 minute bursts should soon see some improvement x

I have been into school again todya and spoken to the TA directly re the incident on Tues. Honest mistake so all is forgiven(ish) - TA is worried for her job so I have had to reassure her I am happy with an apology...I think the ease at which ds went missing has really scared her. The other mum involved is also still terribly upset about it all

I am working () from home today but also need to get all the pressies out and sort through them. Everyone is ticked off on my list so it's just a case of sorting and wrapping I have had a quick 5 minute rescue in all rooms so my big tidy-up on Tuesday is being maintained
I will do the mission as both the bathroom and cloakroom need attention.

BBL x

Back from shopping. DS1 is being a little terror. He is tired - didnt sleep more than an hour at a strech last night.

Although shopping is like having three children, as I have to pack and carry mums too

I am going to have a cuppa and then do 15 mins before lunch adn then start again once DS1 is at preschool.

WTWMW Just do 15 mins at a time, you will soon see a difference

Back later

LAST DAY OF SCHOOL horror or joy not sure

Took ds1 to Cubs skating outing yesterday - and he learnt to skate after many falls! He is thrilled. More skating outings to follow - can I manage three on the ice? DH refuses to risk his neck.

Managed to do three lots of grocery shopping yesterday, and put it all away without feeling overwhelmed. Perhaps that the secret.

Bribed DS1 to write rest (15!) of xmas cards to classmates after breakfast, with promise of Dr Who Mag on return from school.

Sorted out hall PE kit bags waste paper lost gloves mud hairbrushes coins swimming bags

Tidied kitchen for what may be the last time...

Today I am going to make a list of all the EMERGENCY things I haven't done, just to FOCUS

Olive oil for teachers from Morrisons
Wrap parcel for cousins and post to Somerset
Home insurance payment
Hoover dd's bedroom and my bedroom

Now I feel better, it is clear from reading all your inspirational posts that it is not impossible to do housework with children present so I will try to assume that I can continue a bit of flying even if they are around.

swanriver · 18/12/2008 11:38

And the car. Forgotten about the wretched car, which is still at the garage a long way off. Perhaps tomorrow am at 8 whilst dh is in house.

swanriver · 18/12/2008 11:56

Which also reminds me I have forgotten to book any SHOWS.

Jas · 18/12/2008 12:03

Morning

I wonder if anyone has got tickets to go and see Strictly Come Dancing live?

DS is ill, so day out cancelled.
DP is buying drinks from Iceland.

WTWM Are you ok now?
Start in either the kitchen or bathroom.

I'm off to take my own advice, and try and do more washing while it is (sort of) drying outside. I have bedding (including quilts) from two beds to wash and dry today with no t/d

Jas · 18/12/2008 12:04

Where did you get waterproof bedding RR?- I need spares!

Yes, I have a plastic cover with cotton top, but it has to be washed when wet iyswim, and takes ages to dry.

I'll have a hunt around after Christmas I think.

I'd love to but dd2 (still has accidents about once a month) and ds are both very active in bed. DS' is 4' wide and he ends up all over the place. DD2 has only just stopped falling out completely!

DD2 never wakes up in the night (part of the problem)....she just fidgets off the wet bit and curls up on the end of the bed.

TheGarishlyTwinkleyMadHouse · 18/12/2008 13:47

I have hoovered downstairs - with knackered hoover that cuts out every min, so takes forever.
