Hi Guys, Starting to feel like a human being again. Not working today. Done school run and DD2 and I are in front of The Wiggles. I am buying her 2 more DVDs with her birthday money as I cant bear this one much longer

BWB - I am sorry you've been burgled. What B**s.

Anyway, after over a week of flu I seriously need to try and get on top of the house so I'll be dipping in and out today.

LavenderTea · 15/12/2008 09:45

Hello everyone,
Sag thanks for the thread, and Ann glad you are feeling better.

Hello all to follow, I miss you all and your inspiration and my house is looking great and all jobs and chores up to date. Thanks to you all,

Sorry I didn't come in to see you all last week at all even after my humble and shameful begging to be allowed back.
Had a bit of an hormonally emotional week which I seemed to deal with by manically cleaning everything in sight and not coming online.......

I guess the reason for the erratic and manic behaviour was that I finally got a BFP, but sadly the Pregnancy was a chemical one, and although it was a shock to even think I may have been we were disappointed,

......but the good news is DH and I have decided to actively try this month for another baby. Still scary with a 7 month old recent arrival, but looking forward to the idea and the possibility of having a small age gap. Wish us luck

Righto, I'm off to feed the little one and then do a bit of flying before taking the decluttering bag to the charity shop and meet a friend at 11...

Have to do christmas cards this week too, and buy the tree and put it up (after the electrician has come to do the thing dh asked him to in the spot where the tree is going...).. Thats Top on my list of priorities...

Happy flying everyone,

x

Hello all

Flying is very intermittent here due to work but I really just wanted to send Bewilder a huge hug and to say how sorry I was to read what happened.

Hope you get everything sorted okay x

TheGarishlyTwinkleyMadHouse · 15/12/2008 10:09

I just have to say the title really made me smile - I bet we could defo give them a good kicking

SparklyTinselBella · 15/12/2008 10:10

Yes, they would run a mile from us

AndaGrouchyBahHumbugtoyou · 15/12/2008 10:29

BWB & for you. I';m down the road if you need anything for you or mini-beast

Done lots this morning but it all seems to be a bit trite to bang on about that in the light of Bewilder's news

ByThePowerOfBaileys · 15/12/2008 10:34

Morning all

for you bewilder sorry to swear but what wankers!
if there is anything any of us can do please ask - you know we will do what we can.

TMH - hope your heating issues finally get resolved today [fingers crossed emotion]

been out and about and now have to draw 15 sheep for the kids to colour in this afternoon as the F(*& printer is broken. and TMH - hope you don't mind but have bought shredded wheat and jelly babies to make edible mangers with the kids this afternoon.

intravenousmulledwine · 15/12/2008 10:58

Hello all.

Just popping in to bookmark really. Was up half the night being sick so feel like death this morning! Am assuming it's one of the many bugs that are doing the rounds so just taking it easy.

BWB Can't imagine how angry and upset you are. Any chance of catching the people who did it? Would be great if they could spend Christmas in jail.

Lavendar Best of luck. Sorry to hear about the chemical pregnancy but glad it has helped to clarify what you want to do.

Waves to all regulars.

swanriver · 15/12/2008 11:14

Poor you BWB.
Argos delivery delivered to arrgh wrong address 15 houses down the road on Thursday, and returned to Argos by bewildered neighbours, whilst I waited in all Friday to no avail. Hopeful redeliver today (all the Xmas presents!!!!!)
Had a busy weekend. Had a mini-xmas tea-party on Sat (fun), now dreading the chaos that will be large party on 28th Dec. Everyone will bring their children as it is afternoon party...Oh well, at least they will turn up, always the fear that noone will bother.
DH went to 2.00 teaparty with dss yesterday at 2.45, apologised and hostess told him off for not coming at 2.00. None of other 8 guests turned up till four! (I was bowling with dd and her friend)
DH was knocked down in fracas at another party on Sat night (not his fault) so neighbour politics are now very complicated.

TO DO
Hoover our bedroom
Make beds
Hoover boys room ( and put away train set)
Iron something
Finalize mary costume - sparkly headband
Be nice to dd all today so that she gets through to Scouts play without meltdown.
What's for dinner - baked potatoes veg and sausage and bean casserole.
semolina and jam
hang out shirts
clean skirtings in kitchen (as bathrooms done)
Guest room impenetrable muddle.Abandon
Think clearly of lovely London Xmas outings over xmas. (book tomorrow)

SparklyTinselBella · 15/12/2008 11:19

Have been burgled myself before and it is awful but these people are wankers and will get their comeuppance one day. Am a great believer in what some would call karma.

Apologies for swearing too and

sagacious · 15/12/2008 12:36

Ach swearing in this case is justified

But I'll neck the mulled wine (well it is nearly Christmas)

mad I hope you're warm and toasty
lavender sorry to hear your news, great you can see it for a positive

My done list:

15 mins in living room

First can I say a big thank you to all those words of comfort yesterday when i had my rage against the rented flat! to you all

Yippee to Mad for heating

and to BWB I'm only a few miles away if you need anything at all. We were burgled on December 23rd about ten years ago and the home insurance had run out! Just when i was finishing my teacher training and DH still doing his Phd so we were renting in a horrible shared house. All the Christmas presents etc and the absolute wankers defecated all over the place as well as stealing all our pillowcases as swag bags! You get over it but it is a bloody horrible feeling.

Welcome back again Lavender

AndaGrouchyBahHumbugtoyou · 15/12/2008 14:18

Hello again

Just had my despised nemisis mother round (we are estranged as she is, well, just strange ) 2 hrs of conversation that was basically 'me me me me me me me me...did I mention me? Me Me' repeat until she goes. It was like having a self centred Beaker in the house.

Ah well, don't have to do it for 12 mths and I suppose it is Xmas

So no further FLYing acheived. DH said that he doesn't think anything needs doing so I must have done OK yesterday

Please let me know how you are all doing please. I love you lot, at least you're sane/have some sort of grip on reality

wendycarolsinger · 15/12/2008 14:38

Aww Grouchy you don't sound yourself, hope you're ok! Makes me glad my mum is lovely most of the time
DS is patiently waiting for computer to go on beloved Mister Maker website so best be off

sagacious · 15/12/2008 14:43

Picked up 25 items (mainly dc's) from downstairs and repatriated them to where they should be

ludaslovinallthelights · 15/12/2008 14:45

Hi all

BB Oh what an awful thing, I'm so sorry to hear your news. Ooooh they make me so (wendy ewwwwww My god that sounds very grim Good lord what posesses these bastards!)

ROFL @ your MIL being "a self centred Beaker" GO I can just imagine it!

YEY for the heating Mad I am just off to light our fire....HATE doing it but at least it keeps us toasty.

Blimey! 10 days til xmas!!! Is everyone ready? We are just about done...
This week is full for the kids, school/nursery parties and trips. Dd2 had her trip this morning to see Sion Corn (Father Xmas) she came back with a rubber and a little teddy and was most disappointed all she could say was "but I asked santa for Dora!" bless!

The older two go to the cinema tomorrow to see Kupu Fanda (as DS keeps calling it! ) Then they have a school xmas dinner on wednesday, DD2 has her xmas party Thursday and finally the older two have theirs on Friday. Full week!

Right better get on have to go get kids shortly

TheGarishlyTwinkleyMadHouse · 15/12/2008 15:36

GO Here you go again - are you sure you are not me - I think we are living on a paralle universe thing. If I am unwell, my mother is dying a slow death!!!!

wendy rage away.

Luda Real fires are great, but the soot and everything else is pants - we had one in the rented house and it didnt seal correnctly.

I STILL HAVE HEATING

I also cried at the nativity - DS1 was a snowflake and he was at the front of the stage and played the jingel bells

I have two douzen mince pies in the oven for DH's work lunch on Thursday

We have deorated fairy cakes with chocolate icing and christmas sprinkles.

We now need to drop Mum home

Wolfcub · 15/12/2008 15:43

afternoon all

done
lots of hoovering and clearing up

bbl

love the thread title by the way, I heartily agree although I'd like to use the vaccuum cleaner rather than a feather duster.

ludaslovinallthelights · 15/12/2008 16:24

Oh I meant to say that earlier...I love the thread title too.
I was also thinking feather dusters might not cut it (although maybe if there were enough of us...)... I think a vacuum cleaner would do much better damage...I wonder if I could lift it over my shoulder to get a good enough swing

AndaGrouchyBahHumbugtoyou · 15/12/2008 17:25

Sanity Reigns, Thank you all

I phoned DGM (M's mum, they are also estranged due to the same reason ) as it's DGD's 83rd birthday tomorrow It was mentioned and we had a good laugh about it (we'd have to, the NHS bill for ADs is big enough )

Ed home and he finished his xmas card pile and signed DGD's card, then happily came to the postbox with me and wanted to dance all the way home (me in my best John Sargent mode ) I think the lure of a go on DH's DS was too great

I've done some emergency school shirt ironing, got his clothes ready for morning, made tomorrow's lunches and I'm just about to make Ed's tea.

Tomorrow will be a lovely day. Take care my wonderful cyber friends

AndaGrouchyBahHumbugtoyou · 15/12/2008 17:28

TMH Do you have the Majority of the Bunnymen's back catalogue? If so we have problems we may be the same person......
