Hello

Thanks for the thread EHM Welcome to the newbies It's fab here.

Ed is off school today. They asked me to let him have time off (do they think I'm a slave driver?) He is hellishly snotty and he slept in this morning so I think he needed it too. He is in DH's office swathed in PJs and gowns playing on the XBOX and I have

Done

!!!

DH brought up toast for us

We're out tonight to see a new band so I will have to get stuff done but I am taking it very easy indeed. FLY means that very little needs doing anyway. It's so easy to keep/get back on top of things.

I find that making soup, FLYing and getting my 1460 DMs back out have lifted my very dark deppression that threatened to settle recently. It just works for me

TO DO

Hang out the wet washing
Take damp washing down to dry
Empty DW
Clear draining board
Put it all awy
Empty sink, load DW
Tidy clean dry clothes away
TD loading/emptying
Lunch and tea making

Along with snot wiping etc etc

Hello and big ups to all

Thanks for the welcomes

mission done

going to see my sister this pm as it was her birthday last week but we could not see her on the day as she had the flu.

I am very ashamed to admit that I have not bought one christmas present yet - perhaps I will do that tomorrow or tonight I will see how I feel.

Ruby Just think

Her life
Her choice
Her finances

Smile sweetly, keep your trap shut and vent here, we'll listen, understand

They can't have a go at what you keep in your head can they. If she chose to do it in a bin liner would you say anything?

We're here if you need a rant

Hi, another (old)newbie here. I used to post on the fly threads a couple of years ago and let it slip. Also suffer from pnd and realised the state of the house doesn't help, so i'm trying again. It definately helps. I'm on day 14 of babysteps and it's already making me feel better. My kitchen/sink has never been so clean and shiny

Huge thread

Lots of new names Welcome all

I've got stew in the slow cooker, bread in the machine, and a clean kitchen

Just not looking at the rest of the house.

I'm sat in my hat and coat, as it is freezing, but not worth putting on heating as we are going out in an hour.

(That is my cold face, not really feeling sad....)

Hi all

Thank you again to everyone who helped me yesterday. I now have plenty of ideas to help make DD's room just how she wants it
Mad ooooh big sympathies re: the migraine I hope you are feeling better soon x Thanks again to you for sending the bits and bobs, I'm so very grateful indeed

EHM The picture sounds ideal...thank you xx Shall I send you my address on Facebook?

Welcome to the new fly peeps

Well I have spent all morning doing crafty things for a stall the nursery are holding at the local christmas fair on Sunday. My house is covered in all sorts of christmassy nic nacks. Myself and 3 other mums have been busy clouring, painting and sticking!
We are selling plates for santa's mince pie/rudolphs carrot and have decorated them ready to write a personalised message (merry xmas santa love from....etc etc) they sold really well last year.
We are also selling baubles filled with sweets, candles (decorated by moi! )
Should be good and hopefully raise some money for the nursery

Right better go and tidy up the mess!

hello all, crikey it's busy here today, everyone is flying high!

I am feeling terrible today, very very tired. I hardly got any sleep at all - still worried about whether to apply for this stupid 2 day a week job!

Like most people on here it seems, I also suffer from depression and flylady seems to help it. I have been treated several years ago but was just zombiefied on the meds and was glad to be off them. But it seems I just can't make a decision at the minute!

Went up to my parents house this morning with dd after dropping ds at nursery. Both of them are still a bit snotty and bad tempered. May try to put them both to bed in a minute - it didn't work yesterday, ds wouldn't sleep. They are i the same room now so if he doesn't sleep, she doesn't either!

Mad poor you, that was me on DD's birthday party on Sunday!

Ruby I'd struggle to keep my mouth shut too. Just try to keep thinking it's her day and not yours. I'm sure she must be happy with it if she's going ahead with it.

Stick with it newbies it's great on this thread.

Good one Ruby! Guess we are all different (but these celebrities have a lot to answer for, if you ask me!). Mind you, I had 5 guests at my wedding and bought the dress 2 days before! Had a wonderful day without the fuss.

Mad just hang in there and have a very easy afternoon after they've gone i.e. Cbeebies for the dc and beans on toast for tea for them, they will survive!

Jas my house is freezing too and I've used £20 gas in two days (it's on a meter)! in my coat.

Haven't read thread, sorry. So hope everyone is ok and Bianca is feeling better.

Kitchen is looking better than it has done for a long time.
Front room isn't too bad but could be a lot better.

I am just too cold to do much and have a cold too. Had no gas for narly 3 days and no money to put any on until tomorrow. Only a few £s left on elec too so can't TD washing or use halogen heater too much.

Need to take some of DD's toys back upstairs as well as finding somewhere to put the huge Barbie castle that they have been given! At least it sort of folds back into its box! But it is a very tall box!

I have my new cooker coming tomorrow. Which is why i am skint! Income support reduced by £34 a wk to pay back bugetting loan. Oh well!
