Hey Hey

Well cleaning finally done,
List all finished
Cake cooked
Fire lit
Casserole in oven

Kids are all quiet and happy listening to a Christmas Hits CD in their bedroom and playing Restaurants (Mcdonalds to be precise!)

House looks lovely and smells nice...feeling festive this afternoon!

DH will hopefully be pleasently suprised when he comes home from work

bythepowerofgreyskull · 24/11/2008 16:21

Ludaloo please come and wave your magic dust in our house..
just got back from messy play, with a note from DS1's teacher to say he didn't eat any lunch again and has been coughing so much he has been making himself sick.
He cant talk without coughing.
Got DR's appointment at 4.40pm

no dinner cooked yet but there is no harm in having veggie soup if they have sore throats and chests.

back later.

scattyspice · 24/11/2008 16:41

reyskull - hope he feels better soon.

Done:
bulbs out from under the bed - they have shooted! Put them on window sill to grow.

Laundry rebooted.

Put off food shop til tomorrow (due to hail stones ).

To do:
DS homework.

grouchyoscar · 24/11/2008 16:45

TheMadHouse · 24/11/2008 17:22

Greyskull Hope all went well at the doctors

Luda How very dare you - with peaceful childre

Scatty We have had them too

Well I had to do early baths, as the boys decided to use toothpaste as blood and have a pirate fight cue sticky hair, hands and pretty much everything else, including house.

So dinner is going to be a little late, veg is on and chicken is cooked.

Ironing is done though just need to put it away.

bythepowerofgreyskull · 24/11/2008 18:05

Thanks for your kind wishes.
DS1 can hardly breathe he is breathing once or twice but then having to cough, if he tries to talk he gets a couple of words out but then has to cough, he is exhausted.
Doctor has given us antibiotics so we are going to have an early(ish) bath and get some into his system, think we may offer some medised tonight to see if that helps him get some rest.
No housework done at all, will do better tomorrow, but Doctor doesn't want DS1 to go to school tomorrow so I am not sure how much will get done.

Greyskull sending wishes to your ds poor lamb and you too Luda - have all our children got viruses and infections? How have you managed to be a magic fairy with a sick child in the house? I am usually all on to keep my temper with them

Mad how was the chicken in the slow cooker? (not that I care, I'm a veggie! )

BBL off to bargain hunt at cheapo shops with mum - stocking fillers!

Bewilderbeast · 24/11/2008 18:58

My morning routine is in place and I am trying really hard with my bedtime routine. I am noticng a huge difference and I feel much calmer. Thanks all

TheMadHouse · 24/11/2008 20:26

wendy I was a vegie for 11 years and then got meat craving when pregnant with DS2

BWB Chicken was great actually it just all fell away. I popped a couple of rough cut onions and some garlic cloves in the bottom a cup full of water and some herbs and bunged it on. Left it till about 4, turned it off and that was that. I have kept the stock for tomorrow as going to do a soup with it. The boys wolfed it down.

I have been in the bath for the last 2 hours it was fantastic and I loved it. Managed to read a whole maf

I am all done now until tomorrow. Night all

Bewilderbeast · 24/11/2008 20:37

dinner made - not very nice I'm afraid, not one of my triumphs, we are just about to chill out with a coffee. Good night all.

BiancaCastafiore · 24/11/2008 20:40

Thanks for all your well wishes

I managed to get up around 1pm and had a bath. Found myself sitting on the bathroom floor for about 20minutes afterwards unable to get up Eventually managed to get up and had a banana in the hope of making myself feel brighter...it worked for a while before I was ill again and have continued to feel unwell for the past few hours. Off to bed in a minute

TMH Snap! I was veggie for many years too, but needed lamb and mint sauce when I was expecting ds! Hmmmm....I still love lamb and mint sauce, that may be my forst meal once I'm feeling better
greyskull hope ds is better soon x

Jas · 24/11/2008 21:33

MyDingaling - Good to hear that the FLYing is working, even if you don't have much time to post

Bianca Don't get in the bath when you are alone in the house until you feel better, please. I hope you get some sleep tonight.

I've been veggie for 24 years despite three pregnancies. I was vegan for 10, but was drawn back to milk drinking when pregnant the first time. I can't imagine wanting meat though.

I've iced our Christmas cake, and 5 of the 9 little ones this evening. I only marzipanned the tops of the little ones though....not a good idea. I'm going to add to the sides of the others tomorrow.

I've been veggie since I was 18 - the day I left home for university! Have never craved meat, thank goodness! My cravings were peas with salad cream (UGH!), cheese pasties and broccoli. DH was very fed up of it by the end. I went off anything with any hint of spice in it at all. 9 months without a curry in our house.

Just got DD an Upsy Daisy outfit for Xmas from Asda, tis very cute, she'll love it. She is Night Garden mad. Got DS a new hat to wear now. In the rush this morning couldn't find his and he had to wear his Daddy's. Poor thing it was right over his eyes so I rolled it up - but he needed it as it was so bitterly cold today! I looked out when he was playing out (my house and nursery share a wall!) and it was right down over his eyes felt terrible.

Off for a bath now and hopefully an early night.
