How often do you mop your floors?

I have floorboards throughout and am getting a shiney new cleaner. I'm tempted to aske her to mop throughout every week, but wondering if this is ott? Kitchen floor twice a week as it gets minging!

I mop through 2x a week - all wood downstairs.

mind you i'm probably not a great example as i hoover through daily

Also as A cleaner, most of my clients ask me to mop at least once a week

ha! i'm peaking at this thread through my fingers for research purposes. my own habits are far too slatternly to admit in public

I don't mop, ever - it's a complete waste of time as it just swishes the dirt about and never gets things really clean.

I hoover right through (hard wood floors and tiles) and then wash floors on my hands and knees. The kitchen/loos/bathrooms get washed twice a week and the rest pretty infrequently.

Every week here, hard wood floors downstairs. Sometimes do a quick mop under the dining room table if the kids have been particularly messy with dinner!

Mine's needs done every day. I am not saying I do it every day though.

The choice of white floor tiles in the kitchen was not the best decision I have ever made.

I'm not admitting anything on this one!

I only mop my kitchen floor, but every night before bed usually, as the front door opens into the kitchen. Throughout as often as I would hoover (2x a week).

In the kitchen daily.

Everywhere else, once a week.

I just bought a steam mop from Lakeland this week, and it's fab.

Is it only clean freaks that answer these sorts of threads - feel completely minging!

I'm not going to admit to what I do but have never had anyone comment on the state of my floors!

Before I had a cleaner, I'd mop the kitchen floor a couple of times a week, the bathroom floor maybe once a week and all the other floors very occasionally . Now I have a cleaner, she does the lot once a week and I might give the kitchen and bathroom a quick swish down in between her visits if I'm feeling energetic

I My aupair does them everyday.

It is just a case of doing a Flash Powermop - takes five minutes.

I have wood floors throughout too. I mop kitchen and bathroom everyday and the rest twice a week.

We must be scum bags!!! We have wooden floors throughout and hoover/sweep as/when needed, but only mop...well rarely, if specific accident. Probably once a month!

Mind you, no cleaner, and both of us work, so not at home as often.

Rest of hard floor about twice a year if that. It gets hoovered and has to be cleaner than carpet, surely??

Aim for twice a week, usually manage once!
