I have floorboards throughout and am getting a shiney new cleaner. I'm tempted to aske her to mop throughout every week, but wondering if this is ott? Kitchen floor twice a week as it gets minging!

Have gone away bathed the dc and can't stop thinking about this (call me sad!) - why do the floors need to be washed once a week (let alone everyday!).

How do they get so dirty?
I wash mine very infrequently and the water at the end still isn't particularly dirty.

Thanks manky - I am not alone! Wet wipes and a dog are the way forward

Although I guess as I've got a dog should mean I do it more!

We have hard floors everywhere. I have a cleaner who comes once a week. She hoovers then mops. The kitchen is swept and/or mopped quite often. Not every day, but whenever it looks too yucky. I sweep the rest of downstairs roughly twice a week and mop once a weep.

Mopping doesn't just push the dirt around if you do it properly.
