Morning all

Fridays are date night in the Fly week, which means we try and make an effort to have a nice evening with DH. For me it means no computer and that we sit at the table and eat without the children, during the week we eat with them.

Our new babysteps for today are to make your bed when you get out of it. I do this for all the beds before I come downstairs now.

read an email from FLy or if you done get them then read something of the web site

So now our routines are looking something like this:

Morning Routine

  • Get up and get dressed doing your hair and face
  • Make your bed
  • Looking at your posted reminders in the kitchen and bathroom
  • Reading 2 minutes of reminders
  • Recognizing the negative voices and changing them
  • Put out your Hot Spots for 2 minutes
  • 5 Minute Room Rescue (pick any room in the house) set your timer and go!
  • Mission

Before Bed Routine

  • Keep your sink shining
  • Lay out your clothes for tomorrow
  • Put out your Hot Spot

Morning TMH, thanks for the thread and links. You are a star.

Crikey I just slept in l/os were up a little later last night cos grandma babysat while dh and I went out !! That was an all change to yesterdays routine but was lovely. Can't remember the last time I went out with just dh.

Just off to do my hotspots and room rescue before dd wakes though I can hear her "singing" so room rescue may have to wait till after breakfast today..
No time to write today's list if I need to finish morning routine but.....
Happy flying and morning to all

TheMadHouse · 21/11/2008 08:21

anne Oh no I hope it is not what my boys had - it is nasty. I did the bleach thing and kept doing it for three days after your advise as the bugs live for upto 3 days.

Hi - not been on one of these threads before but I am a longterm flybaby who lapses then gets back on the wagon over and over again! I have a very stressed dp with a busy weekend ahead of him while I'm at work so I'm here to get some inspiration while I transform the house so it's lovely and peaceful tonight and there's no laundry or housework to speak of to do over the weekend. I've got four hours with one child and two with two to do it in. I'm going to go for lots of 5 min room rescues, 15 minuteses and even 2 min sessions so I keep the speed up - here goes!

swanriver · 21/11/2008 10:48

Surely its not a good idea to make your bed the minute you get out of it? Shouldn't they air with window open?

AnneOfAvonlea · 21/11/2008 10:48

Thanks Mad. She is now eating dry rice crispies and a bit delicate but not too bad. On 3rd load of washing though

Morning Ladies

I'm flitting about this morning, been to the shop and the bank and a friends for a quick natter and I'm just off out again to clean, which means I haven't really done very much in the house today!

Its really windy and quite chilly so not nice outside. Apparently the weekend is going to be bad weather, I've heard rumours of snow for sunday.

Anyone watching "I'm a Celebrity"?? Oooooh it has been grim watching! First it was the poor lad off Eastenders (his name escapes me!) who had the "eat lots of awful things" task and he gagged soooo badly it made me gag too....bleurgh!
Then last night it was Kilroy who had the worst task ever! I have no idea how they do it! They must be either mad or very desperate to find fame because he did some pretty grim things that I think I'd only do if my life depended on it...or actually if my families lives depended on it!

The world has gone mad!

Well anyway, I'd better get off, see you later

sagacious · 21/11/2008 10:50

swanriver I always turn my duvet over in half to air it, so I agree.

done

school run
haircut and blowdry
spray tan

(going out tonight )

LostGirl · 21/11/2008 10:59

Hi, complete newbie here. Would someone mind explaining briefly how to get started (although you all sound so busy I'm not sure anyone will have time ). My house is a tip and I don't know how to begin to get things in order and establish a keep-up-able routine. Is flying something that can help?!

swanriver · 21/11/2008 11:10

If you go back to Monday fly and find the link it will explain everything. I think. I've only just bought a computer so not sure about such technologic methods of referral.

LostGirl · 21/11/2008 11:12

Thanks swanriver, will search and read

sagacious · 21/11/2008 11:21

lostgirl You can start with babysteps

Back from music and movement. I promised DS1 15 mins on the PC if he was good, so he is doing that now.

I have cleaned the trip traps and polished them - good god they were grim

I have also done a sweep round downstairs.

I will get more done after dropping DS1 at Preschool.
