Morning all

OP posts:

Tubthumping - he drinks a soda drink, he drinks a mango drink, she drinks a cider drink, he drinks a soda drink.

and instead of pissing the night away, he is dancing the night away.

Ruby Graphics not that good, but songs are fine and also idea is good for little ones. DS1 is shouting left and right at me and TBH it is not badly priced at £12.99

BWB link please

Bewilderbeast · 08/11/2008 17:32

www.shopcreator.com/mall/BeachQueen/products/product-739131.stm this is on my shortlist, Triumph do a really nice one but it is way out of my price range, just looking for similar in the figleaves sale

Bewilderbeast · 08/11/2008 18:43

pmsl at pant moustache

grouchyoscar · 08/11/2008 18:54

Love the swimsuits Ruby/BWB. The red and blue versions do remind me of the clothes the residents of the Axiom wear in Wall-E tho (or am I projecting how I think I'd look in them ) LOL at the 'pantbeard' solution

AnneOfAvonlea · 08/11/2008 20:13

BWB - love the latest one. If you have pale skin like me you wont looks as pale in that colour as in black.

Bewilderbeast · 08/11/2008 20:30

anne I am very very pale, I think that suit maybe the one, just hope that when it gets here it fits

Jas · 08/11/2008 21:52

Oooh, I like the swimsuits with legs. I agree second one good for pale skins.

Can I ask you Wii experts a few questions, please?

  • Is it worth getting a package from Argos? Or just the basics?
-do I need extras? -What games are good for 8/9 yr girls (and 2 yr boy)?

This is my plan for all three (plus dp ) for Christmas, so I need to get it right....

I've made 4 dozen mince pies, and a dozen jam tarts this evening

Not much FLYing done though.

tortoise · 08/11/2008 22:34

Evening all.
jas The one in your link is a good start. You will probably need another nunchuk and definatly get a 2nd wii remote. But get wii play which comes with a free remote!

DS's would love the chipmonks one! Any idea if anywhere else do it? Can't get to Morrisons!

DS2 didn't want to go to his Dads again last night so i took him to football today. They lost and my poor baby got a full on kicked ball on the side of his face. The down side of watching him play football! I nearly cried with him!

Spent the afternoon in town getting DD2 new school shoes. She had worn through the others. £9.99 from shoe zone. The are black shiny ones with a big fifi picture inside. She really wanted the pink boots with Fifi on! lol!

Loads of tidying to do tomorrow as usual! Plus need to do it because i might be looking after my friends gorgeous DS2 Monday while she gets the last bits she needs for his 1st birthday Tuesday.

wendylanguage · 08/11/2008 22:40

Hi Jas I made jam tarts today too!
Think I'll have to buy a Wii just for that hilarious sounding chipmunk game!

Wish I'd had a fun day! DS had a tantrum within 2 mins of getting into Toys R Us to spend his birthday money (well, I had asked him to walk behind me with daddy rather than push the trolley into people's legs, I mean, please!) so we came straight home again! I've been very very fed up today. DH and I have had so many arguments today - just the usual, he doesn't listen to me, I have to make every decision in the house, I cook, clean, slave away for no appreciation blah blah blah. DC been very tired today from being so excited at bonfire party last night. I think I am tired too, plus PMT.

Managed to do an hour's decluttering tonight of paperwork and meal planning for the week. didn't get those Xmas presents sorted.
Off to bed now.

Swimsuits look fab! Prob off swimming in the morning with the family.

TheMadHouse · 08/11/2008 22:51

Jas DH recomends Game and also said if you are going to pay with Cash push them and they might add extras.

He said this is particulaly good value as you are getting wii play {extra controller} and also an extra nunchuck.

DS1 plays on Mario Olympsic and thinks it is cool.

Tort Game have it for 15 here

tortoise · 08/11/2008 22:56

Thanks TMH.
Also found plenty cheap on here lol

TheMadHouse · 09/11/2008 07:34

Morning all

Me and DS1 are up. I have done my morning stuff - quietly

KIt is raining here again - so trying to think of things we can do in the rain.

DS is taking the boys to the farm for a while - to collect a bag of spuds from his dad - we actually asked for some this year. We never normally get any, but found out that BIL got 9 bags last year - so I asked for a bag, which will save on the shopping - plus they are lovley

Jas · 09/11/2008 08:15

Thanks TMH and Tortoise No cash here sadly, my cc have offered me 6 months interest free, so I will be using that!

DD1 is off to Legoland with the brownies today, so I'm up, have droppeed her off, W/m on, D/w on already. DD2 has a wet bed so extra washing here if I can get it dry.

TheMadHouse · 09/11/2008 08:47

Jas they will love it. Me and DS1 have been playing Mariokart this morning untill DS2 woke up

We often use it together as a family, which was important to me. I was really against Playstations etc, that were just reallt aimed at children or blokes. The wii is pretty all inclusive.

Washer is on
Boys are fed and watered
Boys and me are dressed

I am having a cuppa before I wake DH, sundays are his lie in.

I think I will make the pudding batter and short out the meat adn veg for lunch next and then I can play again

AnneOfAvonlea · 09/11/2008 08:47

Jas - DH says game tend to give the best packages. If you have any old games for other consoles you may be able to trade them in too.

TheMadHouse · 09/11/2008 08:50

Anne great minds think alike How are you?

AnneOfAvonlea · 09/11/2008 08:53

ok. feel better today. I've been sorting out all the school stuff this morning - raffle tickets, money for santa's grotto etc and yesterday I started to make DDs nativity costume. I am no seamstress so feeling very proud of myself

bythepowerofgreyskull · 09/11/2008 08:55

Morning all,
DH has a hangover and is grumping around in the kitchen so DS's and I are playing in the sittingroom.
morning routine is nearly done, just need to put the washer on in a minute, it is a clear crisp day here so am hoping to get the washing out.
DS1 wants to practice having a go without stabilisers on his bike so we will go to the school field to have a go.

Going to try to tackle my wardrobe today if I get chance.
have to cut 20 scarfs out of felt and make holes for tassles for messy playgroup.

Hope you all have a good day.

Jas · 09/11/2008 08:55

DP tried suggesting an X-Box 360 for dd1, but I said no! He did admit he wanted it for himself, and dd1 would play with one, but none of the rest of us would.

Our old games are too old to get anything for I think (think ancient x box, even older ps) but I will try, as we have loads of games if dp is willing to get rid!

AnneOfAvonlea · 09/11/2008 08:57

You could always phone them up ans give them the game titles and then they'll tell you if you'll get anything. (rather than take them all to the shop to be told no )

Wii is good for the whole family.

TheMadHouse · 09/11/2008 08:58

Jas I think they take anything in part x

Morning Greyskull
