I'm really chuffed today...Obama making President has really cheered me up. I just really hope all his promises can make the positive changes America needs (cos lets face it we get most repercussions from almost everything they do!)
I hope too that he stays safe.
How cool that such a monumental moment in history happens when I'm alive!!

Anyway....I had better get on and find the mission!

I am ing too at the news from across the pond this morning. Obama seems a really decent chap, I hope he can live up to expectations.

The house is fairly tidy, I haven't got much work to do..am at a little bit of a loose end!
I might brave the pile of clutter in the spare room but was hoping to get dh to help (he's stricter than me - I'll just look through it all, then re-stack it back where it came from!)

I need to bake some bits and pieces so will probably do that this morning.

Morning. I am so realived about Obama. I was really fearful for the lifestyle of my children. Staunch Repiblicans scare me, espeically the gun toating fundaMENTALists out there (mental being the operative word).

Phew.....

On the fly front, quick tidy this morning
Need to go to Tesco, as I didnt do an order as it is fireworks
Car needs doing - yes I am putting it off
Handbag needs changing

Proud of myself today. I went to see the GP about my dark black days (should have mentioned them to him before )and then I walked the 1/2 mile back home I was also asked by the deputy head if I could do some work with the KS2 kids in their activity afternoon which was nice.

I too am really about Obama. I hope he does live up to be the new broom to sweep the turgid mess of the last 8 years away. (Is he the eCloth of world politics? )

Got home and....very little done so I have

Emptied the dishwasher
Put it away
Put on a white load in WM
S&S the worktops
S&S Hob
Wipe front room floor
Catch up with messages

Better tackle the mountains of dry laundry in the bedroom. BBL

Didn't get much done yesterday as DD wouldn't go to bed (again) . I am desperate for an evening!!

I have spent the morning pottering. Not achieved a whole lot but it's been nice to not feel over-whelmed for a change

I have used up a few more cooking apples by baking a couple of pies/crumbles
I'll make something oaty next I think...

Ocado have delievered my weekly shop £2.49 to get it delivered and carried into the house Money well spent on a wet day like today!

Busy afternoon once the kids come out of school with a couple of after-school clubs to rush to and fit supper in the middle somewhere.

I havent achieved much either, so will crack on now and then be back.

I have also swept groud floor and mopped it too.

Dinner is in the slow cooker - beef stew, just need to make some cheese scones to top it.

I've had a busy day today! Went to keep fit this morning while all the kids were at school/nursery. Its nice to get back into it!

Bought a box of fireworks ready for this evening.

Delivered a few books

Tidied a bit

Did some washing

Now just waiting to collect the kids and make some supper.

Its gone really cold outside so DH lit the fire and the blankets are ready for snuggling up under this evening
The kids snuggle up and we watch the fireworks from inside through the patio doors (DH gets to do the cold bit plus it puts my over anxious side at ease!)

Greyskull I have mailed you back

Boys are in and out of the rain. DS1 is so excited. We are going to my brothers and SIL's social club this evening for a childrens party and fireworks. It starts at 6.30. DS2 is dressing up as a pumpkin, but DS1 refuses. I am going to get all the evening routione done early, so that they can come home and be straght to bed.

at mad and luda re fireworks, went to a great local display last yr with DS but not on this year . Haven't bought any either (just forgot all about it really).

Car should be ready tomorrow (fingers crossed).

Need to hoover (getting desperate).

Sit down with DCs for a bit first.

thank you ladies for your concern ? it is reassuring to know that I have virtual friends if I ever need them. I was just having a tough day (don?t we all sometimes) and feeling under appreciated!!

Ah Sag can you update me on the light box. Is it helping. I hate this time of year when the clocks change. I am finding it hard to up my mood without the daylight.

I am resorting to baking - which isnt good for the wasteline.

Plain Scones are in the oven and I have cheese ones ready to pop on top of the beef stew

I have also made since Sunday Bannana Muffins, Lemon buscuits, Peanut crunch buscuits and 3 loafs of bread
