We still are managing without heating. New hot water bottles have been bought. I am looking out bargain woollies on eBay.

How's everyone else doing?

Our living room is actually the coldest room in the house, as the wind whistles down the chimney! Clearly we are fuel poor

RhinestoneCowghoul · 09/10/2008 15:52

21 degrees for a living room seems v hot...

lulumama · 09/10/2008 15:53

off, due to the fact british gas want £242 a month from us.

hauntinghippoami · 09/10/2008 15:58

21degrees is far too hot... Bil and Sil have theirs set to 21 because they like to walk around wearing trousers and a t-shirt at home.
Whenever we go round there in winter we get too hot and uncomfortable.
Ours (once it is on) will be set to 16degrees. Whenever Bil and Sil come round to ours in winter they do not take their coats off

My heating has not been on yet

im trying to wait until the clocks change now, but my real target was to wait until October (which i achieved )

I have a thermometer in my lounge which says the lounge is 18C and has not yet got lower than 18C either.

My bathroom has been as low as 15C but my bathroom is always freezing cold, and has been as cold as 9C in the morning before

have just looked at forecast and i dont think i will have my heating on by Monday either , so i might make it until the weekend when the clocks change.... will have to see what the weather does

ja9 · 09/10/2008 19:37

Tea time tonight i gave in and turned it ao. All 4 of us were tired and grumpy (grumpy - esp dc) and i couldn't hack being cold as well! Will turn it back off tonight though as about to go away for a week.

SmallShips · 09/10/2008 21:18

Not yet, its 21oC in the house at the minute and about 17 in the mornings. Am also waiting for the clocks to change.

bobblehat · 09/10/2008 21:24

We've just moved to a new house so we did try it out last week to see if it worked. It did, so it's been turned off again until November, maybe december.....but perhaps not

We're still going strong. Weirdly, our flat is always colder than it is outside. But we're made of rock, us southerners!

(rather chilly rock at the moment!)

MingMingtheWonderPet · 09/10/2008 21:28

Pretty warm in the south east at the moment so no real need for the heating. i hate having it on in the mornings anyway as i end up so hot when I am running around trying to get ready, alo makes me feel lethargic.
Kids moaning a bit, but I jut keep teling them about slippers and dreing gowns!

PictureThis · 09/10/2008 21:34

Had the heating on very briefly a few days ago but it has been off since.

TECHxasChainsawMassacre · 09/10/2008 21:36

Heating isn't on but we did light a fire on Sunday evening.

TheGreatScootini · 09/10/2008 21:36

I have had a huge bust up with DH this eve on the phone because he sneakily put the heating on (and set the timer, which he knows I cant work)against my express wishes..I feel like we are burning tenners..(am sure this is a bit exaggerated but it is making me rage..he is out after work tonight so I am stuck with it on and it is making me so ..and yes I know I should know how to work it but its different from our old one and ive tried and I cant)
Plus its been hot today here and there is no need to have it on anyway!
