Bianca Get a file for 'Important paperwork' and a file for 'assorted junk' then you'll only loose one file under another

BiancaCastafiore · 21/09/2008 15:55

lol, I have emptied various paper-hiding-places out and am sorting through them on the living room floor while watching Merlin from last night
I seem to have lots of unused plastic wallets and the like so am determined to make uses for them. So far I have one each for:
dd school
dd medical/birth cert etc etc
ds school
ds medical/birth cert etc etc
after school club info
my bank statements
mail order/recipts/proof of postage
misc

Sound ok so far?...bit worried about the "misc" file as this will be prone to being v v full!

I am quite enjoying it actually lol!

tortoise · 21/09/2008 16:25

((( hugs ))) Bianca It must be hard not to get any time as a family. Glad you are actually enjoying sorting the paper work. I did mine recently and shredded loads of old catalogue statements. Some from 3yrs ago!

We have just got back from our walk. Had a nice time out in the sun and DC got some conkers. Dog is shattered! He got into the pond for a drink lol.(Pic going into profile)

grouchyoscar · 21/09/2008 16:37

Important stuff v rubbish

Fling rubbish then next sort do

Family v business/bills etc

Then

DCs V adults

Then

And so on til the mess becomes sorted and you can do it in phases

Wah! I have so much to do and I feel so shitty feeble

Sort out Ed's PE kit
Lunches

Mend wardrobe door
Vac bedroom

Bianca We have no where to store paperwork at the moment, but I picked up a concertina file from Tescos, which has areas for things like bills, guarentees, recepits, payslips, car etc

I need to go through ours again, once I find the time and sort it all out.

We were going great guns mowed the lawn and were washing the cars with the boys, when DS! decided to put suds in DS2 eyes.

Si an early bath for both and a very angry mummy, as he poured water out of the bath all over the floor.

Anyhow dinner is on and I am hungry and need to sort everything for next week

BiancaCastafiore · 21/09/2008 17:04

Thanks Tort I'm feeling rather lonely and sorry for myself atm. Need to snap out of it. Dh is doing his usual ignoring me trick which makes me and very I may as well not be here most of teh time...I honest wonder if he'd notice! Well done on doing your paperwork - I can't imagine how much stuff you end up with with 4 kids!

I have the most enormous pile of recycling/shredding!
I am just focusing on th everyday stuff which comes in and out of the house via me and the kids. There are already bits of paper I know I had over the past week which I have lost
Dh can jolly well help with the work paperwork and the household stuff which he squirrels away (he's rather obsessive about all that)

tortoise · 21/09/2008 17:55

I'm sure he would notice. Am around if you need to chat anytime.

We are having sweet and sour for tea. Something i eat alot since gall stones attacks. Hospital appointment is this week.

TheMadHouse · 21/09/2008 18:53

I am here too Bianca Tort Sounds yum - how do you make it?

I am having a mad half hour. I have cleaned the insides of nearly all the windows. They were filthy

I have also ironed
pit my and DH's clothes away
Put washer on
Got boys clothes ready for tomorrow

To Do:

Put boys clothes away
Hoover and mop downstairs
Tidy conservatory when boys are in bed.

They are currently having a quiet 15 mins with their daddy.

TheMadHouse · 21/09/2008 19:19

Feeling smug

as I have finnished trhe windows
put the boys clothes away
put the boys tobed
Cleaned the stove top
cleaned all the kitchen tops
put DW on (full)

So need to hoover and mop, but I am having a mediterian moment, so might have a bath and leave it at that till the morning.

BiancaCastafiore · 21/09/2008 19:21

Thanks you two

Dh has just got home and is sitting with the kids while they eat supper. He has office work to do later but will help with bedtime first which is nice (I sometimes wonder if he reads my posts on here)
My parents dropped the kids back and my step-mother spent time carefully doing dds homework with her (in a much calmer fashion than I would've done it It was maths and dd and I both lose our tempers over maths!) I was very grateful for the help

I have done a fair bit of the paperwork I needed to clear. There are other piles but I needed to get some systems started before I could tackle them. Hopefully I'll get a chance this week.

tortoise · 21/09/2008 19:37

TMH With a jar. Tonights was anyway but thats because it tells me the fat content on it and if i make my own i won't have a clue how much is in it.

Bewilderbeast · 21/09/2008 20:47

Evening all

I have done loads of gardening and ironing, I am shattered but both garden and ironing pile look better so I am happy .

DS has been a challenging little basket all day. Somebody please tell me that the terrible 2s stop when they actually hit 24 months PLEASE

tortoise · 21/09/2008 21:03

Well done BB. I didn't get as far as the grass cutting. Hope the weather stays nice so i can do it tomorrow.
Have just remembered i invited a friend and her DS's round after school tomorrow.(After DD2's half day that is!) Glad i have the morning to tidy round a bit!
