argh didn't get any sleep, dad phoned just as I was dropping off - am shattered. But I suppose I did lie down under a duvet and sort of watch ER for an hour so it's a rest.
rowing course is intermediate spanish conversation, I started the same course a couple of years ago (when it was a year long rather than the 12 weeks it is now) and had to give it up half way through. I am really paranoid that I won't remember anything

EustaciaVye · 16/09/2008 16:26

Thank you Scatty

Have had quite a good day as DD1 went on playdate and played for 2 hours with no disputes

RL not good for other reasons but cant go into that

House not a bomb site but not great either. Trying to sort social life for DD2 out means I have less time for housework.

Anyway, hope you are all ok.

Ruby - ok?

tigger32 · 16/09/2008 16:29

afternoon all,
managed 40 mins of ironing (not put away yet)
picked up boys
emptied lunch boxes (found no comforters in there) so...
phoned nursery and apparently there was no comforter in there today (there was, I made a point of checking) feeling very now!
Anyway Ds2 has since spilt a cup of juice over lounge carpet
Ds1 has had a huge tantrum
My ebay dispute isn't looking good
campmania won't take back damaged tent canopy
Haven't started dinner yet
Have a headache
I'm feeling really and think i'll have a cup of coffee

ludaloo · 16/09/2008 16:39

my DD1 is besotted laura
She was telling me how he had a "lovely swirly hairy back" (he does have gorgeous hair...platinum blonde) and that she sits at school and strokes it!!! She called him "my little hairy fox" !! LOL if it wasn't for the fact she is only just 7, I'd be slightly worried!

tigger awww I hope the cup of coffee does the trick...I will have to scroll back to read, is it a comforter that is lost?

Well I have finally made a dent in the bomb site of a house. The kitchen is clean for the first time since about thursday last week!!!
I'm on washing load number 8 (out of 11)
I have almost cleared enough floor space in the living room to hoover....it is currently full of Avon boxes, Lego (and a hell of a lot of it!) and washing!

I hate it when the house is this messy....I feel completely out of control.
Well better get on and do some more!

Bewilder I don't know what you wrote, it was all in Spanish. You are obviously fluent.

grouchyoscar · 16/09/2008 17:19

Luda It's an after school thing for 6 weeks (there is a huge call for it) and worth 50p for the extra 45 mins me time.

He made 2 chocolate buns and scoffed both of them on the way home so nowt for mum

His teacher was on her way to the bus stop so she left school with us. Ed was inviting her home for tea! Honestly, he's a card!

Jas · 16/09/2008 17:27

11 wash loads

tigger I hope your day gets better.

My friends came round with donuts this afternoon, which helped lift my mood a bit House is no better, and the chicken I got out of the freezer for todays tea is still frozen, so tea is improvised now, and roast chicken and chips tomorrow.

BiancaCastafiore · 16/09/2008 17:55

Luda @ 11 loads of washing!! Just think, you have all that lovely clean washing to look forward to putting away tomorrow I am feeling down cos my house is a tip too - it quickly effects your mood doesn't it? I hope to make better preogress tomorrow...

Bewilder my dd has been learning Spanish too, maybe the two of you could practise together? She's had to give it up this year as it clashed with another after-school activity

((hug)) for Tigger x x

Dd has been in a mood since she got home and is now playing up because although I've made her favourite for pudding (blackberry and apple crumble) I haven't got any ice-cream to go with it, only custard and this means I don't care about her and waht she likes apparently

Early bedtime fro everyone this evening I think....

tigger32 · 16/09/2008 17:59

feeling a little embarrassed
DH was making me re trace steps re comforter and I suddenly remembered that ds2 was crying when we got to car after nursery so I took comforters out of nursery bag and gave them to him, then put him to bed when we got home they are both his bed as we speak!
Feeling a bit now we have had dinner - spag bol with large glass of red wine, followed by angle delight and shreddies

grouchy ed sounds like fun

BiancaCastafiore · 16/09/2008 18:07

lol tigger, that's just the kind of thing I would do Glad all is well again x x

tortoise · 16/09/2008 18:42

Evening all.
PC crashed as i was typing.
I am soo tired tonight. I have walked miles and cut most of the lawn. Hope to finish it tomorrow.
I can't remember all the other messages i was typing now.

Luda Have you seen the message i put to you over the weekend? I found some girls clothes out. They are on here. Probably on the last page lol. As i have been adding everything that i have ready to Ebay it all! (11 loads of washing )

Bianca Hope DS was ok at school.

Can't rememebr who mentioned it but my copy of how to talk so kids will listen, arrived today! I hope it will halp me with my lot!

RR Hope BIL is ok soon. Very woorying for you.

TMH Hope your mum feels better soon. And that the Drs have helped her.

lucysmam · 16/09/2008 18:44

Evening ladies

notes stuck to fridge to remind me to go to wilko/£1 shop/tesco & poundstretcher to get cheap art supplies.

rowingboat I lol @ the ET scene thing, that ought to just about do it! I didn't think about apron type things, will nip and add to my list in a mo!

luda your dd sounds so lovely! I remember my first bf when I was about 7 . . . he's now gay

I've not done a lot this afternoon, oh was home early again so my top class well behaved toddlers became monsters running round like loons instead of playing quietly together & the house descended into absolute utter chaos!

Am off to the kitchen to chill whilst oh watches footy in a bit, then shower & early night

BiancaCastafiore · 16/09/2008 18:58

Tort you sound tired. I hope you're able to have something yummy for supper and the kids go to bed quietly so you can put your feet up x x MSN still won't sign me in Not sure about the skirt we talked about last night as I tried on a few things today which were all 12s and fitted me so am wondering if a 14 skirt would be too big, not sure how big/small oasis sizes are..?..
I will try restarting teh pc again once the kids are in bed in the hope of getting onto MSN again

tortoise · 16/09/2008 19:19

Bianca Thanks. yes am very tired! Had pasta and sweet and sour sauce (again!). Have a nice hot bath running for later. I can measure the waist if that helps or send it to you to try on lol. DD's are in bed. Hope you get on MSN later. Or facebook chat thing? Not that i have tried it lol!

tortoise · 16/09/2008 19:25

Anyone want tomato seeds or Aubergine seeds? I got them in a freeboe pack of seeds and won't use them so better to pass them onto someone who will.

lucysmam · 16/09/2008 19:33

you know what . . . I didn't see that there were 3 pages today, missed loads!

tortoise, if no-one else is bothered I would like to give the seeds a go please

tortoise · 16/09/2008 19:35

Lucysmam You are welcome to them . [email protected]

lucysmam · 16/09/2008 19:39

thanks very much, will email you in a sec

tortoise · 16/09/2008 20:03

Have put them in an addressed envelope ready to post tomorrow.

TheMadHouse · 16/09/2008 20:30

Tort can I add you to my facebook? Keep smiling I have that book and it is great

Bianca Children sometimes I wonder. DS1 got upset as I had not cut the strawbs right [bad mother emo]

Groucy Ed is a cad not a card. Will pay you tonight - sorry

Luda 11 loads - are you washing everything that everyone owns?

Waves to everyone else

Jas Why are you down? Is DH sorting the shed roof?

EV Are you feeling any better?

Ruby How is BIL?

Well mum is doped up with painkillers and pretty much out of it. I have been and washed up and stuff tonight. She is seeing consultant tomorrow. I think that he will admit her, but weather or not she will go in is a different matter.

I came home to find DH had popped the washer and DW on - bless and he even tidied the conservatory after putting the boys to bed.

DS1 is going to a dance class after preschool tomorrow. I am hoping he likes it and behaves. He will be the only boy, but I have discussed it with the lady who runs it and we both think it will do him good - great for learning how to take instructions, exercise, concerntation, memory and co-ordination. She does the toddler music and movement we go to on a Friday, but this is ballet and tap. If he likes then he will need an outfit, ballet shoes and tap shoes.

tortoise · 16/09/2008 20:34

Of course you can TMH I don't use it much though.

Jas · 16/09/2008 20:51

lucysmam set mumsnet to traditional, and you don't get pages at all Much better(imo)

TMH - I do hope the dr can do something for your mum Doped up and out of it is probably better than the pain for now though.

DP did the shed roof and I am planning on swaping the two downstairs rooms round and repainting. Hopefully a better use of the space.
Stressing about money....can't remember the last time dp got paid enough to cover more than food and petrol, so debts are building I'm now understanding just how easy it would be to stop opening letters and let things spiral...

I won't though

Lots more to reply to but don't know where to start.

lucysmam · 16/09/2008 20:52

thanks very much tortoise, appreciate it

I still don't get how you lot are finding each other on FB! & now it's changed to New FB it confuses me more than the old one!

Mad wish my oh knew how to put wm on, he's not done it since we got new one in Feb

luda you must be washing everyone's entire wardrobes? I'd hate to have that much to do

I'm just waiting on my LDC to smother in cream while oh watches footy. Have a sore throat now, hope not one of the bugs that seem to be doing the rounds!

Hope you're all feeling better tomorrow as many of you seem to be down or ill or generally fed up! TTFN xx

grouchyoscar · 16/09/2008 21:00

TMH I'd forgotten too! And yep, for one working so smoothly so young, cad is very accurate...'what me, the third Ed of Edlington, and a pretty teacher, after school well...'

OK too much Fast Show for me own good
