Arggggggggg still can not find bloody receipt - really unual as they are all in one place.

Worst still - my mums arthitis is really bad so need to have her here - she will drive us mad, but is seeing the specialist on Thursday, so hope he will truely see how much pain she is in.

scattyspice · 15/09/2008 12:58

Excellent idea ruby. last yr was a nightmare of last minute shopping, 2 presents for same person, nothing for someone else huge overspending etc . I will make a list and buy as i go. It will be a frugal Xmas all round this yr i guess .

mad.

tigger Last xmas i covered the table in paper and let DC decorate it in an xmas theme. Then PVA glued all over. It just about lasted until after xmas as long as we kept it dry. Will see if i can put pic in profile later.
Have to get DD2 to school now. Taking my bike so i can whizz home. Otherwise i will have about 45mins before i need to leave again lol! This way i will have just over an hour. BBL

Lemon Ludaloo Shannara TMH,Giraffes, Laura, Bewilder* EHM, Tigger, Greyskull, Bianca, Ruby, Cafe, Minor, Lucys, Scatty Tort Tort I would like to have a look before you Ebay, even though I don't have any money until I get my tax credits. Is it all put away now?
Grouchy that drawer is the tip of the drawers-berg. It is all back in now, apart from some recycling and some relocated bits.
Bewilder poor you, hope you are able to get up soon.
Bianca what are you doing with your sick day?
Minor I'm so impressed with your run and weights. Want to start running again, but not today, still recuperating.
Lemon it's quite nice to have a simple routine and stop thinking you have to do EVERYTHING all at once isn't it! I'm re-doing babysteps, but reading a few each day, to reinforce the routines and things.
Ruby when do we tell Lemon about the cult ceremonial diving suit and sombrero outfit?
Cafe I do think we are so lucky with the NHS, I think it's when you are old and frail that the real problems start in the UK, because the waiting is worse, but for minor stuff, it's fantastic. You could always go to a pharmacy, they are trained to give advice on minor ailments. I went when my LO had a runny bum for a couple of days. They said if he was drinking lots of fluids and seemed OK in himself that was OK. The main thing was the hydration, not eating was probably helping to give his bowels a rest. I think we bought complan - which made me feel better and they said if it wasn't showing any signs of clearing in another couple of days then go to the GP, but they said the GP probably wouldn't be able to do that much anyway. They said you can't give things like diocalm or whatever to LOs.
Oh and I made him juice with a bit of sugar and salt to help balance his electrolytes. I think you can buy those kinds of drinks in the pharmacy.
Lucys have fun practising with your two children today.
We have had a slow start today, but that was the plan. It's a local holiday and I don't intend to do anything very strenuous. Watched ER this morning and Frasier, had real coffee and plan to make biscuits. SLOB! It's lovely!
Have done
hotspots
washing hung (indoors, it's too damp outside)
washing up
kitchen rescue
bathroom s&s
room rescue sitting room
made lunch - tuna salad sandwich

Still to do
read reminders
babysteps
declutter another drawer
make biscuits
pasta and salad for dinner

slob some more!
Speak later!

Afternoon all.

Have been at work this morning and just been to get DD1 from school. We're all fed and have nothing until swimming at tea time for DD1.

Will do basics today.

grouchyoscar · 15/09/2008 14:16

Tidied 4 drawers in the bedroom and organised clothes. DH's drawers a huge couldn't carry them across my arms. Very long

I'm procrastinating. I need to check the bank account

minorbird · 15/09/2008 14:36

Hello again!

rubyandTMHandJas thank you for the tip about organised mum calender - I've just bought one online! Hurrah! Can't wait for it to arrive! (Cant believe its me saying these things!)

Bianca hope the LO is feeling better soon, its horrible when they're poorly isnt it! Bewilderbeast (love your name) hope your feeling better too, think theres something in the air at the moment!

Lucysmam don't fancy a 6am start! Hope the cotmode long continues! I think its because she doesnt like the dark, so won't get out unless its light... bring on those dark mornings!

Hello Lemontart I'm a newbie too, flying and this thread have done wonders for me. tortoise good luck with the ebaying! Sounds like a mammoth task but should bring mammoth rewards!

rowingboat the pavements will be out there waiting for you when you're ready! Enjoyed my run today, feeling tired now though!

Hope everyones having a larvley monday. I've got letters to write & post and bills to pay and dinner to cook now. Anyone know anything about baking chicken fillets? Lucysmam I see you on the cooking threads now and again? I usually shallow fry chicken but I've bought a new BBQ paste that you baste them with. Do I put them in foil? Sorry, probably should post on the cooking board! LOL. Strewth, this is long!

Happy flying.

tortoise · 15/09/2008 14:37

tortoise table cloth thing? I am curious.

Ruby ebaying well under way here & selling baby stuff

scatty fab news about nursery fees halving! That's really good

Well my oh came home from 1st day at his new job early so is now throwing both kids onto the sofa repeatedly while I have a cupppa n chill. I risked stripping the bed & they were both good as gold, so no worries there.

Who was it who was selling on ebay? Or going to list some stuff? If there was a girls coat in 2-3 years old for winter then I could do with it . . . doesn't matter about colour or anything like that

Right, lunch pots away & a snack for the three monsters I have running around like lunatics (including oh in that!)

laurasmiles · 15/09/2008 15:11

Hi guys - posting very late here as we were out this morning sourcing sliding folding doors for the extension. Sorry I haven't had time to read everyone's posts today. Seeking some motivation to get on with babysteps day 11. Have done morning routine but putting off five minute rescue to type on here instead!

Right - it's got to be done. 5 minutes isn't really that hard is it???

See you all later. L x

minorbird · 15/09/2008 15:22

Minor I tend to wrap indivdually if skin off - keeps it all nice and juicey. Cover roating dish if skin on.

I have done the ironing - still to put away though
Been to the school - they are on the beg for stuff for outside - not a chance here.

Dinner is prepped - Mince, yorkshires etc (would normally have had yesterday)

I need to do some ebay photgraphing later and at my mums as we have a leapfrog lern and groove to go

scattyspice · 15/09/2008 16:29
