Yes. I let them turn it on if they were washed, dressed, fed, and brushed, with coat and shoes on and bags by the door ready to go, but not before

Bewilderbeast · 04/09/2008 13:37

Hi all

Well I have been at toddler group most of the morning...twas my turn to open up and close after everyone had gone. There is always so much to do! It takes ages to get out!

House is looking ok ish....could be worse I guess.

In need of a vac more than anything.

I have sorted out some bills (booo...hate paying bills)

Have also sorted out the humungous pile of Avon catalogues that were accumulating....it is a mare! Loads of them and all you can do is chuck em out! (well recycle them) they don't take them back, huge waste really.

Bianca sorry to here about your DD poor little thing.

(well actually TBH it was DH that crumbled when DD1 batted her eyes at him... and then of course DS wanted some....and DD2 was quickly diverted to the "wellies" section and was quite happy to have a £6 pair of flowery ones....thankfully!)

Actually it is the teachers I feel sorry for...I can just imagine them taking their shoes off all day long to compare toys!

BiancaCastafiore · 04/09/2008 14:35

Ruby. I would be interested if you were able to post me a doll.

Luda hello I would prob have given in and bought the shoes if we had been anywhere near a Clarks but the whole doll in heel thing has passed me by a bit tbh...stupid idea anyway!

Did anyone have any inspiration for my "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" fancy dress theme costume for dd?

Just realised the time, better dash for school pick-up!

I don't have to leave til 3 for school run now...I have two years of both dds in the same school, then it will all go a bit pear shaped again.

I'll think about fancy dress...
I need costumes for international language dress up day soon, for them both

Luda - Are you doing ok with the Avon still?

ludaloo · 04/09/2008 14:47

I actually avoided Clarks and opted for Brantanos (not much choice tho here) only to be greeted first step in the door by a great big Yotoy display . I am pretty sure I could have diverted them to some other shoes if it wasn't for that.
DD1's best friend had a pair about 2 weeks before we got ours so that really didn't help

....the good the bad and the ugly eh....hmmm

Yeh, I'd say the western theme is probably the best option.

I googled it, then searched the images bit...

Here

here

perhaps not here (well not for a 7 year old anyway)

ludaloo · 04/09/2008 14:52

here is a good idea (poor boy...as he gets to be the ugly)

ludaloo · 04/09/2008 14:55

jas...yeh, I'm doing ok with Avon. Its a bit of a faff getting all the brochures in and out and making sure everyone is happy, but it is quite good. I make a bit of money and I get lots of smellies and stuff. good ATM, because all the xmas gift ideas are comming out.

BiancaCastafiore · 04/09/2008 15:43

lol Luda that 3-headed link is rather good Dd is wanting to be a Native American Indian but I am not 100% sure how suitable it is..

Ruby missed that 10minute deadline, sorry!

Ds has gone to a friends (after much crying that I never let him play with anyone) and dd has a friend (nice boy) here (after much crying that I never let her play with anyone). It all suits me as I'm pretty tired and not in the mood for squabbles which are an inevitable part of this first week back at school.

grouchyoscar · 04/09/2008 16:03

evening ladies!

Not had time to catch up thread yet but lo in bed, oh at footy so will read in a while.

I've not done much today
~finished sorting lo's wardrobe and getting rid of stuff that doesn't fit (took forever with oh 'helping')
~made lemon drizzle cake - 1st time ever n I'm well impressed . . .in fact so impressed I've munched half already
~hoovered
~tea on for me & for oh to reheat later
~worked on shopping list but as usual, no motivation there and it's looking quite crappy

Am getting my tea then shower and sit down with mysupermarket I think, see what I can come up with. Got to find cheque book at some point too this week to pay an overdue bill . . .oops completely slipped my mind n I'm normally soooo organised with stuff like that!

Am also aiming to read through some more of a thread on money saving expert where the OP is feeding herself and oh for 50p per person per day until xmas Just think of the savings there!

Anyways, bbl to read properly tata x

TheMadHouse · 04/09/2008 19:09

Evening all

Pants day all round here. I have the runs too and DS1 is still at it.

Went shopping, got frames for mum and then have tried to be attentive.

Made pompom ants with them and all other sorts of stuff to keep them occupied, but they still ended up in bed in disgrace before 7

cafebistro · 04/09/2008 19:38

Evening!
Didnt manage to do living room or DS's room today but did do lots of washing!
Went to the dentists and behaved like a complete nutcase...I was so nervous I couldnt get my words out when she asked me what the problem was and I then promptly burst into tears! Luckily dentist was very understanding, she packed me off with antibiotics and I have to go back on Monday for extraction! AArrgghh!

You'd think after giving birth twice with minimum pain relief Id be ok with pain but no...theres something about the dentists that makes my toes curl!
Dc's are in bed, DP is out fishing, so im going to relax with a bit of tv and MN.

Have a lovely evening

grouchyoscar · 04/09/2008 19:52

Big spotty Pants

Ed is too young for beavers, he has to be 6 that's 10 months away

Good thing is we've touched base and he's now on the waiting list so he should be able to start asap

I am shattered. Bedtime routines pretty much done so it's minestrone for tea tonight

ZZZZZzzzzzz
