DD2 up at 5am today.

So I'm a bit grumpy.

I am tired too, I'm just not sleeping properly atm, and the bloody chickens next door are not helping.

I have to confess to having completly fallen off the FLY wagon and only seem to come on here to see how everyone is theses days (and I'm even pretty terrible at that!)

We are heading out to a friends house for a coffee morning this morning. I have no idea what the afternoon will bring but I can't manage another day of cabin fever so we'll try to eitehr get out and about (swimming maybe..) or recruit some friends to play

Bianca FLYing is definately faltering here as well, summer holidays really don't help. will get back on track in september.
Tort hope you manage to find the keys, that's teh sort of thing I would do.

DD is complaing of a sore throat this morning, hopefully it won't progress to anything worse, we have my nephews 2nd birthday party on saturday.

Don't know how much flying will get done today. DD is complaing at being ignoredd BBL.

I have to gree it is much harder in the summer holidays.

We are off swimming this morning Bianca. I hate the faff, but the children love it

Not sure what we have planned if anything after swmming. I might get the large roll of paper out and draw round DS1 and let him make a person

I need to Iron though at some point. I am really tired, I think the op is catching me up and my mum is not for helping at the moment - she is having a real winge about her arthristus - you know no one is allowed to e ill but her . I am not responsible for my mothers happiness

Kitchen now sparkling. Going out in a bit. DDs going in creche at leisure centre while my friend and I have a cuppa . Did it last week for the first time and was nice

TMH - ignore your mum, however if she is sapping your energy tell her to go away until she can cheer up

DH is back at work today. Hope he's OK about it all as he mentioned he is well prepared to walk as he's fed up with the place ( Good move, get a required sense of indignity at the start of an economic downturn)

Well as we were out yesterday there was little to do in the house. Plus we are winding down to the holiday so we are keeping the house cleaner than usual. My mission for today is Start the packing

i'm feeling very lazy today! oh let me have a lie in but couldn't get comfy so am sat her in dressing gown with a cuppa and laptop instead of lying in bed while he lays new floor in kitchen. It's taking some doing but will hopefully look ncie once all the works finished (fingers crossed that'll be this weekend!)

EV I know how that feeling, my lo does it often!

well once I get round to getting dressed I'm stripping our bed again as oh sweats in the night loads with this heat so it smells!! can't get in kitchen again so that can wait til later. erm, general tidy up i think other than that as cant be arsed today!!

if you don't mind me being nosey, where is it and how much ish has it cost you? We're trying (and failing) to save up to go somewhere!

It's Scarborough, just below the castle. The flat has cost £300 for the week which I don't think is too bad for a family of 3 peak season. It's the 3rd time we've stayed there.

So now you all know to avoid Scarborough next week as the Family Grouchy will be in attendance!

It's a great little place. It's central, the market is good so we buy groceries when we get there. Make pack ups in the morning and troop off to the beach or where ever.

I've packed books on wildflower spotting, bird identification, rockpooling, magnifying glasses and binoculars.

I'm at work today - booo! But it's quite quiet, so not so bad.
Grouchy I tried that opening the cases and letting all the clothes jump in. It seemed to be going really well, except when we arrived at our destination, we didn't seem to have any clothes to wear. Hmm!
Lucys tell me about it, so expensive. Both DP and my passports have expired and we need one for the LO, so that's practically the cost of a holiday all by itself.
TMH Did your DH manage to rally the in-laws at all? If I lived near you I would come round and do a 5 minute room rescue for you. Enjoy the swim - and all those lovely soggy towels when you get home.
Tort hope your keys turn up soon.
I lost my glasses in the wind a few months ago and they turned up a day later, underneath my car's rear tyre - good job I didn't reverse out of the space the day before.

Swimming was great - the boys were wonderful and had a fab time. I just wish they wouldnt kick me in the tummy.

DS2 is in bed and DS1 is relaxing in the nube i front of TV

Swimming stuff is in dryer, as it is raining again.

Loopy Poor you! I am just coming out of the cold now, but the sore throat ugh! I took ibuprofen at night (couldn't find any in the box, so in desparation took some infant nurofen suspension - it was ghastly - groo!)
Tort I looked at the bless your heart bit of Flylady, but I think you need to buy the book to do it. Have now printed the couch to 5K thing so will put that on the fridge and aim for Friday as start day. Cough cough!

Just calling in between coffee (which turned into lunch..) at a friends and going to the park

Loopy parcel arrived today, a huge hit, thank you very much I want to send something for your dd2 but haven't been to the shops yet so it'll be very late (sorry)

afternoon ladies, i have total peace again as oh and lo have now gone for a wander in town and i dont know what to do!!! so thought i'd play on here with a cuppa for 5 and then do a load of washing and straighten up a bit.

rowingboat I agree about the cost of passports, you probably could get a holiday for what you pay for them!
