EustaciaVye · 04/07/2008 08:22

Ok, Morning routine complete, both DDs dressed and ready to go and have also managed to pile eveything that was on the stairs waiting to be relocated into a big basket so I can rehome it all later.

TMH - Hope DS is a bit better. He will be nearing the worst of it now which means improvement will be imminent. And I hope that Baby L's funeral isnt too harrowing for all concerned.

TheMadHouse · 04/07/2008 08:43

I just wanted to say thank you for all your support. The sun is shining brightly in the sky. I feel that it should make the cemetary more bearable if that is possible.

Plan is

Get dressed
Take boys to MIL
Go pick mum up
Go to club
Off to church
To cemetary
Back to club
Banking in town (same town)
Pick up boys
Cuddle them loads

I am not sure much flying will get done, but thats OK, as long as the basics get done the house seems to look much better these days.

Thank you again

BiancaCastafiore · 04/07/2008 09:06

Morning all

TMH will be thinking of all of you today.
Hope all poorly people are feeling better.

DD has the chicken pox now. Explains why she's been under the weather last few days. Hope she hasn't given it to all the little ones at toddler grp (she joined us yesterday in tgrp because she was cryign all the way thru' playgrp)
Have done morning routine, doubt much more will get done as on scratch patrol, DS's and my eczma(sp?) also v. itchy today.

Hopefully DD will have a sleep so I might get the hoovering done, very urgently needed.

Just to let you know- I've never posted on here before; I've never even read any of the messages, I vaguely know what Fly Lady is as a friend once told me , BUT.....I've had a sudden rush of blood to the head and i feel like rushing around my house and clearing it of clutter, bagging up for charity shops, filing paperwork, binning crap, sorting clothes, cleaning!!!!! I don't know what's come over me; this has never happened to me before-just thought i'd let you know that i'm off to do just that and I'll report back with the results later..wish me Luck!! Oh My God, just realised it might mean i'm pregnant-SHIT!-no, hold on a minute; that can't be true (need to have sex to get pregnant) calm down... ok I'm off to tidy-see you later. P.S.. By the way, in case you were wondering, yes my house is usually a complete tip so this is no easy job.

tortoise · 04/07/2008 10:29

Hi all.
TMH Thinking of you today.#
Bianca and Dyls I got the sewing done. I am really pants at sewing so it took me until about 11.30/12! Very tired today.

Psoup Good luck with all that and welcome.

Not sure what i will get done today but will try and do a bit. Out all day tomorrow at the air day which i hope will be good. So i need to pack a bag later and make picnic to take. I am not buying food there!

EHM · 04/07/2008 11:09

just wanted to say TMH thinking of you today.x.

kiltycoldbum · 04/07/2008 11:53

so, ive spent ALL morning trying to fill in 3 forms and get supporting id for them while 2 children scream at me, my newly 3 dd is behaving like a total nightmare, she is ripping my whole house apart and answering me back, ds is grizzly as his other tooth wants to come through, i just want to sit down in all this crap and cry how can 2 dcs cripple me? i feel like im gonna look in the mirror and find all my hair has fallen out with the stress!

Tbh the stress is knowing my dp will come home and moan at me for not having done anything, despite the constant battle of tidying and spending the whole day trying to keep it tidy despite dcs and the whinging, if it was just me id let them get on with it, not stress out and just do it when they were asleep, but no such luck!

So moan over, sorry! I shall try stop this little one from crying first and then head down and try again!

SirCharlieStinkySocks · 04/07/2008 12:00

Morning all

Thinking of you today TMH (hope you don't mind that from a newbie

Grouchy Yes fab book isn't it? My 3 all love it, was bought as a Christmas pressie and makes an appearance most nights. Hope Ed is feeling better

Kilty big hugds coming your way, I think we all get days like those

Ok today I have done:

Tesco shop & put away
Made beds
Tracked down nearly 30 library book of the kids that need to go back

And that's about it.

Still need to:
Take kids to library
Recycle knackered old microwave
Some gardening to put up my chicken wire to stop stupid terrier dog thing escaping
Collect children
Consume copious amounts of wine whilst watching Eastenders

Back later

scattyspice · 04/07/2008 12:17

Kilty . Get your DH told. It is not possible (or important) to have a tidy house and young children.
Mine are 4 and 3 and all I aim for is clean clothes in draws, food in fridge and clean crockery in cupboard plus a tidy up/put away at the end of the day. Everything else gets done 1xweek. Tell him from me.

EustaciaVye · 04/07/2008 13:03

Kilty - we all have these days. My view is that you cant be housekeeper and nanny and this kids have to be the priority.

I've been on phone to insurance co giving them all my details. Be glad when it is all dealt with.

kiltycoldbum Slap your DP round the head with this!

I have someone coming to look at my DW on Tuesday. It hasn't been working for months! Hope he can fix it and that it is covered by the repair plan. I made sure to say i would be out on school run between 2.30 and 4. But oh no, they only allow for 30mins! Yes i can really walk a mile and back in that time lol! Especially with DD2 with me. I agreed to between 3 and 4.
Bugger, just realised DD2 will be at preschool then. Might have to find someone to pick her up for me.

I am getting nothing done today so far!

Shannaratiger · 04/07/2008 13:08

Afternoon everyone

peasoup welcome and don't over do it. FLYlady says 15mins work then 15min rest, perfect excuse.
kilty hope everything calms down this afternoon and you get/ got a nap. DP says that occasionly but freely admits he couldn't do it.
SCSSocks 30 library books, how many dc's do you have?
tort I am rubbish at sewing to am dreading having to make costumes when DD starts school this year.

I got the hoovering done, with help from DD. DS is eating lunch
DD has taken herself off to bed, I'll let her have about 2 hours because I don't want another 10pm bedtime again.

Have a good afternoon everyone

biglips · 04/07/2008 13:08

Afternoon everyone....just got back from the hospital as had to get 2 buses home as Dp took me there this morning. He had too much work on his hands to come with me which i didnt mind as it was the first time he done it.

Gonna have a cuppa and then start on the dining room (ive got 2 hours left before im off out again)

Afternoon

  1. Declutter the dining room - 1 hour
  2. Swish and swipe
  3. 15 mins Hoover the living room
  4. Pick out the clothes for tmrw (i will do that this evening)
kiltycoldbum · 04/07/2008 13:25

lol tortoise while it would be nice would prob. go down like a lead balloon!
ive tidied the front room, hurrah! gonna do kitchen then garden then i give up!
DP came home and was miffed to not win summit he was bidding on on ebay, my fault apparently so he's gone back out, wouldn't mind if he'd ACTUALLY asked me to bid! er he also doesnt know i come on here! it irks him enough that i go on the net at all when he's out working, so you're all my guilty secret, it'd drive him mad if he thought i actually spoke to people! call it my little rebellion i suppose! so the reason im on and off with this is cause i have to fix my time on here for when he's out an then delete the history! pathetic i know!

babys gone sleep on me at last, so i'll put him down and get on, thanks all of you, an hopefully i'll be back later!

SirCharlieStinkySocks · 04/07/2008 13:28

Well done the gardening and a bit of the fencing but that's about it. Going to put microwave in car now and drop it off on way to library.

Shannara I have 3 littlies and the collection has somehow built up from popping to the library on the way home and forgetting to take some of the books back!!! On the plus side they have read them!!

Well back to it
