Does anyone want to join me today for a major clean/tidy up today???

FAQ · 02/07/2008 09:56

I've tried flying on numerous occasions and it didn't work for me (and actually this warzone around me is simply the result of too many days socialising and not enough time to clean and tidy ). I have a meeting here tonight, DS2 and 3 are here, but quite happy playing.

Who's going to join me???

i really need to clean my house but i am tired beyond belief! i have washed the breakfast dishes, stripped the 4 kids beds and put clean sheets etc back on them so far, washed one load, now in the tumbler and another load into wash. would put them on the line but just starting to rain here now. ive got to leave at 11 to get ds2 from nursery. i could have a half hour blitz i suppose.....in a minute!!!

Need to do:
thorough hoover and polish through whole house
clean bathroom and toilet (wiped round everyday so not that dirty really)
mop kitchen, bathroom and toilet floor
Clean the laminate in the lounge
loads of washing. (Where the hell did that lot come from?!? i only cleared it on monday!!)
take dog for a walk
fetch ds2 from nursery at 11.20
fetch bigger kids at 3.15
lunch and tea

FAQ · 02/07/2008 11:07

I have so far

Emptied the dishwasher (from 2 days ago ) and put another load in

Cut up two ENORMOUS cardboard boxes so I can get them into the recycling bin (flat pack furniture boxes) - that was quite hard work as I had a Stanley knife and I was playing "evade DS3" as he tried to toddle round to see what I was doing

Brought the black bin back in off the street

Also "rescued" my BF who rang me in a panic about something.

So not a lot so far (written down) , but those boxes were HUGE and I'm knackered so I'm stopping for a fag break

and i think thats it but will probably find more as i go along!! im going to start ith yard after more coffee!!

FAQ · 02/07/2008 11:20

what I still need to do is daunting

Clean kitchen worktops
Tidy the dining table and top of piano and computer desk
Clean kitchen floor (once I find it)
Hoover
Tidy bathroom and mop
Do what would probably equate to approx 6 LARGE baskets of ironing - which is currently is piles around the downstairs of the house
Try and finish putting together the flat pack furniture
Fill in various forms that needs sorting ASAP
And more........

make buns with kids and neice lol
hoover everywhere
clean kitchen living room

also has anyone tip on getting stains out going through the washing stains on kids tops tried vainsh in the wash?

AnAngelWithin · 02/07/2008 11:59

just got back from fetching ds2 from nursery and i really can't be bothered now!! still got loads to do but nothing i can be bothered to do. dd2 is in a foul mood now so hoping she might have a sleep after lunch then i can do a few jobs. DH text me telling me not to do anything. I'm supposed to be resting apparently

FAQ · 02/07/2008 11:59

well done

I've emptied the kitchen bin (and discovered I'm out of bin bags )
Cleaned down the two main worktops
Given DS3 his bottle and put him down for a nap
And made lunch for DS2 and myself - which I'm having now

After I've eaten I'm going to tackle some of this ironing while DS3 is out of the way.

charliecat · 02/07/2008 12:05

Ok late joining in. Done kitchen so far. Have rest of house to do.

FAQ · 02/07/2008 12:11

don't worry Charlie - I haven't finished room yet......

got 8hrs until I'm hosting this meeting

On the positive side the 2 people that I'm having the meeting with are also my two BF's - and they were both around when I was really low, and struggling to do anything so have seen the house looking even worse than it is now. (and both helped to do the basics when I was like that). But it would still be good to get it looking ok

Right just going to have a cigarette and start on this ironing EEEEEK

OP posts:
charliecat · 02/07/2008 12:13

Ahh..so they will be super impressed with your effort!! I too am out of bin bags. Just rescued the washing from the rain! Am not going to have some garlic mushrooms...then begin again!

FAQ · 02/07/2008 12:17

yes they will - as they know that I've been spending time with the boys and new man over the weekend so did bugger all.

Already told them it looks similar to when they were helping me out.......so to see it tidy will be good.

OP posts:
FAQ · 02/07/2008 12:54
