Hello All

Good going to all the babysteppers EV Hope you're OK after the bump.

TMH Lovely Poem, Every strength for Friday.

I've done the usual stuff this morning, pegged out and vacced the front room. I've been sorting out my diary, phoning round and finding out that I'm on a child protection course this evening

I better make lunch and sort out the clean washing that needs putting away.

Bye for now

Ambi · 01/07/2008 12:11

Ambi · 01/07/2008 12:14

So does anyone have any of the flystuff and whether it works for them?
I have the calendar - which is v. good, I've never used one for a full year before. I also have the timer and duster which are good too.

dylsmum1998 · 01/07/2008 12:27

oh and i need to do yesterdays and todays mission!

scattyspice · 01/07/2008 12:28

Hi again.

Lots of list swapping (nicking). LOL

I have printed off the flylady lists and put them in a folder along with other stuff (list for DS party, DD's hosp appt, school letters etc). Is this a control journal?

I think i need an org mum calendar or something similar.

BBl

OhYouBadBadKitten · 01/07/2008 12:31

I have the feather duster!!
Tis very big and swishy. Cost a fortune - especially when the post office held on to it and charged an extortionate amount for me to pay the customs charge on it.

House is dusted and vaccumed. Kitchen and bathroom clean. Fresh bedding on beds. Guinea pigs cleaned out. Just going to do aquarium, clean fingerprints and iron stuff thats just come off washing line.

Then am done on house chores - yay!!
(apart from dinner)

Ambi · 01/07/2008 12:37

Scatty - that sounds like a control journal to me. I don't really have one per say, but I have a folder with bits in like Address Book, so I can amend and print off every time an address is changed (quite a lot). I also have our phone numbers like plumber, electrician, garage, council, utility companies and our customer reference numbers to them. I also have a A4 business card in it holder where all my loyalty cards and stamps go.

Ambi · 01/07/2008 12:39

that was supposed to be business card holder!

I like the feather duster, badkitten, shame it cost so much though. Ruby, I don't think I'd get anything else, as I have a mop that works and the Rubbascrubba seems odd and your advice on the OIB put me off.

Notquitegrownup · 01/07/2008 12:49

Good morning all.

Jas - thank you for the crisis list. I will save that for Thursday before my friends arrive, when I am in a real panic!!

Had quite a productive morning so far. Not going to post my list as it contains lots of perculiar bits of sorting out

eg See if Aunty Doris wants the carpet Grandma persuaded us to have when she bought a new one!

But I did it, and yes she does!!

Happy flying everyone.

scattyspice · 01/07/2008 12:55

Ambi thats a good idea (put phone numbers in).

LOL NQGs Aunty Doris. .

By the way, I have just printed off the Alvin Hall money saving tips. Looks interesting (I could put it in my control J ).

Jas · 01/07/2008 13:23

NQG - I like the odd lists the best!

Scatty - Souns very Control Journal ish. Where did you get AHs tips?
I had an OM calendar last year, wasn't that keen (although I did like the handy tear off shopping list bit). This year I got a much cheaper one with columns for each family member, and plenty of space to write on it.

Ambi I've never really been tempted by any of the FL merchandise.

I've done nothing except play i the paddling pool with ds this afternoon.
I've got to go and watch the yr 2 show this pm. DD2 doesn't have a speaking part, but likes me o go to these things

EustaciaVye · 01/07/2008 13:30

Yay for NQGs Auntie Doris

I have the same type of calendar as Jas. 4 columns for each day.

Been on a school visit again with DD1 today which went well. Hospital appt this afternoon so wont get much done.

I have done most of my afternoon routine though.

OP posts:
BiancaCastafiore · 01/07/2008 13:32

must do's
~washing
~unpacking
~clear hall way done
~keep on top of putting away clean laundry
~make beds done

I'd also like to
~wash sofa covers (need a v warm day for this as they have to line dry)done, and cleaned whole room
~hoover and mop downstairs hoovered
~get kitchen clean and tidy started

Too hot to do much else so I may just take a drink and a book and sit in the garden for a while...

TheMadHouse · 01/07/2008 13:35

I have the organised mum calender and I heart it lots. I am in love with the stickers, just got next years with the money I had on paypal from selling some of the boys growbags.

I am lacking motivation

I do not have a control journal, but I have a spreadsheet with all the information on - anyone want it just CAT me. I even have my zones on it and my holiday planner - sad me.

SO I am off to room rescue next and then mission

BiancaCastafiore · 01/07/2008 13:39

TMH I'd be interetsed on seeing your spreadsheets Do you still have my email address? (it'll be on MSN if you need it ) I do have a folder but I never use it tbh..I think I fell off the FLY wagon some time ago

TheMadHouse · 01/07/2008 13:53

Hello peepers

Kids are all having a day off today....had a dentist trip this lunch time, so not much point sending them back now.

Kids teeth are all lovely and clean
My mouth on the other hand is a bit of a disaster
It is actually the first time I have been to see a dentist since I was 13 so that is 19 years ago
I am on antibiotics (TBH I'm not even entirely sure why!! The dentist just said I needed them and I could only just about understand what she was talking about...she was foriegn and spoke waaaaay too quickly) I have to go back next Tuesday to have a tooth removed YIKES !!
Actually I am just really pleased to have them looked at. She was actually not as shocked as I thought she would be considering.

Anyway....better go, DD1 is moth hunting (we found a moth and can't actually identify it...so now she wants to find some more)

littlemissloopy · 01/07/2008 14:08

Do you think I used the word "actually" enough then!??

BiancaCastafiore · 01/07/2008 14:21

Thanks TMH, I've replied.
Loopy Glad the dentist was OK-ish. Take some arnica (sp?) before your extraction next week, it really helps with bruising

littlemissloopy · 01/07/2008 14:30

EEK will there be bruising!?? AAARRRGGGHHH I'm such a woos!
Oooohhhh noooooooo!

Having palpatations about it already!!

BiancaCastafiore · 01/07/2008 14:33

I think I'll skip telling you my tooth extraction story for now....
