Morning EV

In answer to your questio Ambi - I'd say EV can bepretty Guru-ish when it comes to FLY

Ruby does the whole life FLYing very well, and I suspect you are more knowledgable than me!

I agree babys should stay here, and I'll redo babystps, too
I won't post all my routines too, but I do have daily and weekly routines but not zones.

I have work this am, then three different supermarkets to visit, plus Iceland for milk (still on offer yesterday at £2 for 8 pints so I'm going t check it out today.)

EustaciaVye · 30/06/2008 08:05

Morning Jas,

Ambi - don't listen to Jas, she is a guru too We often fall off the wagon so re-visiting babysteps is very useful for all of us.

Morning routine now complete except for hotspot. Need to do stairs but not sure I can face it so may leave it until later.

Just need DD2 to be dressed and then pre-school run, take to childminder and then off to work until lunchtime.

See you later.

Morning jas and EV and everyone.

Haven't caught up with WE thread yet. Hope it was a good one.

I had a gd WE. Got all the bits and pieces for the various birthdays and parties in July (am a bit concerned about DS escalating expectations of his party ).

Threw out all my too short T shirts and DCs too small shoes and replaced them .

Went to school fair.

Thanks for posting those lists EV I'll have a good look later.

EV hells bells im only hyperventilating and looking at my house thinking OMG

my house is a pig sty after the dcs tearing it apart this w/end, yet another diet bit the dust, i'm enormous and i keep procrastinating and failing at everything!

other than that brief moan everything's great and i shall try really hard today so i can have the "glow" of satisfaction later!

Been up since half 5 with ds who has his first tooth coming through bless! but ive still managed to do nothing! So i shall give myself a little bit to muck about on mn and then get on!

I hope you're all well and had a lovely w/end

EustaciaVye · 30/06/2008 08:23

My take on flylady that if life gets in the way then you take the day off and catch up the next day. That includes holidays, weekends, children ill etc. Once you're on top of things it should take too much to get back into it. The hardest bit is the first couple of months where you are trying to build a routine/change your ways etc. Take it slowly.....babysteppers

OP posts:
TheMadHouse · 30/06/2008 08:52

Listen to EV Babysteppers, she speaks wise words

Once you have a morning and evening routine, everything else just slots into place. DH even does the morning or evening stuff now.

Morning list all done, bar breakfast which is cooling

We are at Playgroup first thing
Lunch
DS1 to preschool
DS2 home for nap
Ironing
Mission
Home Bleuring
DS2 back from Preschool
Dinner

Catch you later

Morning all!!

gosh im worn out by reading the Flylady.net stuff!! so much to read!

How do i know which routine to start? as i do need a basic-ish one as with me being 7 months pg...ie dont want to burn myself out!

Ive already done the babysteps Day 3 before i got out of the door this morning to take DD to preschool and yes i do love looking at a shiny sink in the mornings knowing im not gonna spend under an hour washing and cleaning etc....

Plus its so warm here in Liverpool!

kiltycoldbum · 30/06/2008 09:59

so no ive still not started but im about to in the next 5 minutes..changed my name though! mummymusings is dead long live kiltycoldbum yes it is cold..

am going, going...

rowingboat · 30/06/2008 10:18

Good morning!
Very frightened of some of your lists - that would take me all day!
I am on day two and I am wondering if you can change the babystep slightly or is that really bad?
I have indoor clothes and outdoor clothes, to keep my outdoor clothes clean. So I would put on a top and trackybums for when I am at home and then change to trousers and a different top to go out, then come home and change back. Do you think I can count my indoor clothes as dressed? [stupid face]
Do you all put on make up when you wake up? I can see how it would save a bit of time, but I don't like the idea of wearing make up all day.
I only put on a bit of concealer and a bit of lip gloss anyway, so it doesn't take long.
Am I being a bit too literal?
I will put on moisturiser and get the little one dressed for outdoor now - that takes the longest anyway!
I see there is a bit of reading about reminders for tomorrow - I'll save that until then.

Shannaratiger · 30/06/2008 10:32

rowingboat & biglips don't worry about the lists yet, de-cluttering is your first priority. Personally I would count indoor clothes as dressed, and I still put my make-up on just as I'm going out. I'm sure everyone would agree adapt FLYlady to suit you.
kilty, love the name change. De-cluttering always warms me up.

Get up done
Make bed done
Get dressed done
DC?s up done
Make DC?s beds done
Put W/M on done
DS bottle done
Breakfast 3 done*
Wash up done
Dry up & put away done
Shine sink done
DC?s dressed done
Washing out or T/D done
Clean toilet done

PLAY with DC?s done
DS nap done
Thigh trainer done
Put dry washing away
Clean in weekly zone

DS up
DS bottle
Playschool

Have to leave in 30mins, will leave mission until I get back. Am going to visit the library and take out Paul McKenna's Think yourself thin, hopefully will stop the comfort eating before DD finishes playschool.

Hi again. Tried to scan the WE thread (was v long).
Hi to all the newbies. I'm an erratic flyer . I do find though that if I'm short of time its good to have a list so you can quickly get on with something (otherwise don't know where to start).

TMH hope you can get some money back for your missed show, what a terrible shame!

RR DS still loves the usual games (pass parcel, musical chairs, bumps etc) boys get quite competitive though .

Todays list:
House bleugh
Get stuff ready for DS trip to beach tomorrow.

giraffescantdance · 30/06/2008 12:38

what size are they ruby? top hats are always good

giraffescantdance · 30/06/2008 12:40

or if you mean like they are flumps then im sure ive seen them in like crispie cake style things before. you have to chop them up though obviosuly.

rowingboat · 30/06/2008 13:25

OK
I am dressed and so is small person and the sink is clean and the loo is clean.
Shannara thanks for the tips on the lists!
Ruby the parties I have been to vary, but most children like musical bumps and statues and pass the parcel, although the younger they are the more bemused they look. We went to one in May where they had a kind of race day and they had things like potato and spoon race and an obstacle race. I loved the dressing up race at our recent sports day, with big flowery hats and handbags, it was soo funny. We went to a pirate party where they played a version of pin the tail on the donkey, which was to pin an arrow on the treasure map (but with a sticky pad to stick to the board, rather than a pin) and they had a treasure hunt with clues and mini eggs as incentives.
I hope that helps a bit.

EustaciaVye · 30/06/2008 13:26

Hi everyone,

Back from work. DDs fed. Kitchen cleared.

Ruby - X marks the spot (instead of the pin the tail..), Gold coin treasure hunt, Musical mermaids (musical statues), Best Dressed Pirate, Walk the plank type game...
