rowingboat. Dont worry about big lists, just follow the babysteps properly and you build your own routine. By creating your own you will find it more effective, although seeing someone elses can remind you of things to add.

Thank you Eustacia, and great minds think alike too!

Hello again ALL and a big Welcome to the the flank of Newbies

Sorry I didn't check in yesterday. DH was having a crisis about work ande I was being supportive. Seems it's been sorted out now and his boss is listening. [phew]

Today I have done the morning routines then

I walked the 1/2 mile into town without my walking stick!!!

I am so pleased about that

I did some shopping came home and started to sort out Ed's Cuddlies and books for passing onto the school summer fair

Got to collect Ed 1n 45 mins. He has done some good work with some worksheets I found for him so I've stopped fretting about the school. He is brilliant educationally. He's n ot in school until september but he can read, do simple maths, can count to 100, even in 5s and passes a mean rugby ball...what the hell do they want?

Must crack on TTFN

dylsmum1998 · 30/06/2008 14:21

afternoon all. i ahev done nothng all day, well ok i folded the dry washing, but thats it. i have been shopping, took dd to get some new ahoes and to let her choose a bed set as she has done so well getting dry at night. had her feet measured, they've not grown. typical cos they have a massive sale on that will be finished by time she does grow
and she didnt want to pick a bed set, not sure she completely understood, so will give it a few days and take her again. i bought her some new tops as she does have many t-shirt tops, just loads of long sleeved. i thought the short sleeved must be at her dads but he asked if i have any spare as he only has one. dont know where they've all gone- bet it was the Borrowers
suppose i should get off here and do someting, i need to go to asda yet as didnt get there yesterday

TheMadHouse · 30/06/2008 14:25

Ambi · 30/06/2008 15:24

hiya, morning routine done, been to baby group and shopping, and bank rec. House looking good, now I'm just chilling and catching up with the sky+ recorded stuff from the weekend whilst dd is asleep.
I'll hopefully check in later.
rowingboat. Wrt your make up question, just adapt your routine to work for you ie, if you don't normally wear it and just moisterise, lip gloss and perfume or whatever you normally do. I don't wear a lot of it, but I usually wear it every day, with a day off to let my skin breathe. The babystep basically means to make you feel good about yourself. I usually think like this, if I was to bump into someone I knew, would I be embarrassed I felt that i looked a mess or happy to chat away.

Ambi · 30/06/2008 15:27

oh and on a new diet, Monday mornings eh? Just scoffed some yummy fresh strawberries and vanilla yogurt( instead of cream) omg, they were heavenly.

kiltycoldbum · 30/06/2008 16:10

back again so today ive managed to
*up,showered, dressed, bfasts and washed up
*washed/sterilised bottles
*swept out fireplace
*wiped down kitchen sides
*empty the damn drainer!
*hoovered lounge and kitchen
*polished lounge/wiped light switches
*hoovered upstairs rooms
*swept garden/watered plants
*toilet clean and bathroom sink
*whittled down xcess toys/packed some for loft
*blitzed babys room (used as chinese laundry!)
*1 load washing done and drying outside

will go food shopping in a while, its funny how you feel youve done nothing but when you write it down its actually a fair bit! now looking for dolls house on internet for dd's bday on Weds.
Ambi i am a nightmare for starting a new diet each Monday or the 1st of a month is a particular fave, i just gotta stick to them yet! wouldnt be so impossible if my dp would stop buying me treats

Jas · 30/06/2008 17:37

Afternoonall

Too much to reply to, but I thik all questions have been answered.

Ruby - My friends with boys reckon you need twice as many games organsied as for a girls party, and no crafty stuff.

EV I hope you are ok Have a sit down and a cuppa.

I've done all the errands but minimal FLYing today.

3 Supermarkets as I went to the Co op to cash up my dividend vouvchers, and check their reduced stuff, then as I was going to the next town to exchange my new car seat, I did Sainsbos and Iceland, with the intention to finish off at Tescos on the way home.

I got everything in town and missed Tescos out

DP has tidied and hoovered, and morning routine was done before I went out, so things aren't too bad.

Notquitegrownup · 30/06/2008 20:57

Evening all. Got a few jobs done today, but I need to do soooo much more. I can see the logic in building up the babysteps, but WE HAVE FRIENDS COMING TO STAY ON THURSDAY. And it's the school fete on Saturday, and I'm running the tea and cakes section. And I have to work all day on Friday. Agh!

Feel a bit better for that mini panic!

Jas · 30/06/2008 21:06

NQG - Maybe now would be a good time to look at the Crisis Cleaning page.
