A little reset for September challenge

After a really busy summer mixing childcare/holidays/full time office based job, my house is in need of a reset.

So I’m challenging myself to do 15mins of decluttering a day, follow TOM, and set aside 2 hours of admin time per week, for the month of September.

Im hoping that will quell the quiet hum of discontent and overwhelm that I’m feeling today! Feel free to join me

Yes, ready for this now Back to School is done. Had no time for the house over summer… Starting with toys today. DS is helping!

Nice to have some company! I made a start yesterday and chucked a load of children’s random craft bits. Managed to get one child to go through entire wardrobe and tell me what they liked and what could go to charity. I’m focussing the declutter this week on the room I see the minute I open the front door.

And the wardrobe tidy up took less than 10
minutes.

Managed to do a clear out of the coats yesterday. Begone the ones with broken zips that will never be fixed. Today’s declutter is in the same room, and it’s everything that has migrated there over the summer that lives somewhere else. I also managed 30 minutes of admin before work to take away some of the lingering tasks that had been taking up brain space.

Lots to do and not much enthusiasm to do any of it!!
please can I join for a bit of support/ empathy etc?

Septembertodo · Yesterday 12:21

Yes, come join @Extraenergyneeded ! I’m just doing a tiny bit each day. 15 mins declutter and 15 minute extra clean of an area. Makes a huge difference. If I do too much I lose enthusiasm and generate a huge mess.

Today I did another 15 minute declutter of the first room I see when I get in. It’s mainly returning kid detritus to their rooms! Got a bit of admin done too.

I made myself a list of stuff to tackle in September.

Book carpet cleaner
Book window cleaner to clean the conservatory.
Clean the oven.
Declutter wardrobe and list items on vinted.

I'm working my way through it all.

Septembertodo · Today 07:04

I’ve decided I’m not allowed to sell on Vinted. I just can’t trust myself not to keep a big pile of clothes and never get round to it. It’s a pity, I have some good stuff. Off to the charity bins/shops they go though, I call it my lazy tax!

Kitchen today. Energy is lacking so I’ll be happy with just 3x cupboards decluttered and cleaned.
