How do you clean your hard floors?

I'll admit, I dont clean our floors enough especially as we have a cat and my husband wears his shoes indoors.

We have laminate and tiles. I just sort of go over them on my hands and knees with a cloth and some diluted cleaning fluid but that's a lot of work which is why I dont do it enough.

The laminate is old and chipped and starting to bend in places so I'm worried about further damaging it with water.

Tiny house with barely enough room to store a hoover definately nowhere for a traditional mop and bucket.

I use an e cloth mop. Quick and easy, not too wet and no bucket needed.

Same here, I just wet and wring in the sink then run over. And insist your DH takes his shoes off in the house, that's so disgusting.

Method rhubarb floor cleaner
flash mop but I use reusable pads on it

Hoover and a mop with flash floor cleaner diluted in it. Nobody wears shoes in the house unless they want to experience my wrath, so stop your DH wearing them

I have stone floors and an electric vax steam mop which is fab. I only use it about once a month though as there are only 2 of us in the house and unlike many people on Mumsnet, I do not live to clean!

I have two dogs and laminate flooring throughout downstairs. It gets vacuumed or swept, and then mopped once a week (usually with an old-fashioned mop in a wringer bucket).

Same here. Shoes off at the front door!

Mixture of tiles and laminate. I've got a Shark hoover/mop all in one and it comes out daily thanks to 2 mud loving spaniels. It charges on the base, does a cleaning cycle too and it's a godsend.
