Morning Jas and all who follow

Tort for the kids teeth. Some peopple are just more prone to decay, I'm sure it's not their diet, you're always talking about how careful you are with snacks etc x

I'm going to have a shopping trip ahead of out theatre trip today and try to find myself a swimsuit and a couple of new vest tops ahead of us going on holiday soon I'm going to be brave and take the train on my own, then dh will bring the kids and meet me for the shop this afternoon

Ludaloo · 05/06/2008 07:45

Morning jas thanks for thread and Hi to all those who follow too.

I have not had a single chance to check on here the last couple of days....very busy!
I have been training for my race which is next wednesday...has come round really quickly!
I am also busy with Avon, getting orders out, collecting money, putting new brochures out, putting money in the bank. There is quite a bit of work to do really.

I haven't caught up with yesterday, but I hope everyone is well and their LO's bug free.

I have toddler group this morning, then I am out distributing brochures, then a quick tidy round and do washing, then I have keep fit and a meeting this evening (somehow I have been roped into Chair Person for the nursery committee, so I have to be at the meeting to chair it!)

I have also been power walking with another mum most mornings (well I seem to be power walking in order to keep up with her! She really can walk very fast!)
We are doing a mountain woodland walk tomorrow morning Its actually nice to get out and walk properly without the kids, as they are all at school/nursery for at least 2 hours, less stopping and carrying invoved

Right...have waffled on for long enough now...better go and finish the kids packed lunches and get them sorted

Hopefully I will be able to catch up properly soon xx

Ludaloo · 05/06/2008 08:12

Oh...just a quicky....
Those of you who are/were runners (tort you used to run a fair bit I seem to remember)
Has anyone got any advice on aching knees??
The more I run, the more my knees hurt. Its not so bad that I have to stop running but they ache as I run and the next day they are a bit sore.
I think maybe after my race, I will keep the running up, but won't run as far each time! My knees get worse the further I run.

EustaciaVye · 05/06/2008 08:37

Luda - I've done lots but I've been up so long I feel it should be lunchtime already

My update:

  1. DRINK SOME WATER - TO DO - err, had another cuppa!
  2. Think about what you want for dinner - take out meat if necessary. - DONE
10. 2 minute hotspot - DONE, cleared around the toaster as lots of crumbs around. 11. 5 minute room rescue - TO DO - off to do living room now as I have trodden on a Mr Potato Head nose, a Barbie shoe and playmobil this morning, in bare feet! Ouch.

intravenouscoffee · 05/06/2008 09:02

Morning all. Thanks for the thread Jas. Still not dressed but have made a start on morning routine.

To Do
S and S bathroom done
Washing on done
Breakfast for DD and me - in progress. Am eating toasted teacake and having fist coffee of the day.
Room rescue done
Hotspot done
Something for dinner - shopping later
Vac lounge
Mission
Food shopping
Make casserole for dinner

Bianca Hope you enjoy the shopping. Glad you're feeling positive about the journey (or trying to!)
Tort I always had fillings as a child, my brother never did. We ate the same stuff, v few snacks etc. Most of it is just luck imo.
Luda You're soooo busy! I used to do a bit of running before having DD and got sore knees a fair bit. Usually found it was when I was doing quite a lot of training so if I scaled it back for a couple of weeks (3 sessions down to 2 usually) that helped and then I could go back to normal. I think a physio friend of mine told me it was almost unavoidable, the trick is not to actually damage your knees by overdoing it.
Big hello to all who follow

TheMadHouse · 05/06/2008 09:17

Morning all

Morning routine done here and I am now off to pick up mum and take her shopping.

Then we have a friend for lunch
DS1 to Preschool
Drop friend back home
Ring BF

NotABanana · 05/06/2008 09:54

When you talk about the morning routine, what is it?

intravenouscoffee · 05/06/2008 09:58

In my case, lots of flapping around usually
Basically just a few quick cleaning things to stay on top of stuff. Shouldn't take longer than 15 mins. Mine is generally as above; just a quick wipe over the bathroom sink and toilet, breakfast and washing up, stick a load of washing in, quick room rescue on the lounge (once DD has been up for an hour it's wrecked)and thinking about what we're having for tea so I remember to defrost stuff that we need. A lick and a promise as my mum would say.... Everyone does slightly different stuff. It's just whatever works for you.

Jas · 05/06/2008 10:00

NAB -
If you do baby steps it helps you establish a daily routine....here is mine for example:

Morning
1 Make bed
2 Washing machine
3 Breakfast INCLUDING ME
4 Wash up/shine sink
5 Wipe table/high chair
6 Clear surfaces
7 Packed lunches
8 What's for tea?
9 Sweep the kitchen floor
10 Swish and swipe
Afternoon
11 15 min declutter
12 mission
13 Where's the washing?
14 2 min hotspot
Evening
15 Tea
16 Wash up/shine sink
17 Wipe table/highchair
18 DD1 homework/tables
19 DD2 homework/reading/spelling
20 Baths
21 Tidy toys
22 Hoover
23 School bags

Sometimes it works,sometimes not tbh.

I'v done all the morning stuff so far today, but should've gone out, and am only in as I'm waiting for dp to come out f the bathroom so I can wash my hair.

scattyspice · 05/06/2008 12:32

Hi all.

tort tooth decay is largly genetic I was told. I am expecting trouble when we go to dentist as can't get either child to brush properly.

Bianca Good for you for going on the train alone. I hope you are rewarded with the perfect swimsuit .

luda I used to run alot and agree sore knees is unavoidable, but made worse by increasing training too quickly. Make sure you have good trainers and scale down running after the race (and increase slowly if you wish). You shouldn't run if you are still aching from the previous run so if knees still sore the next day leave 2 days between runs.

To do:
library
laundry
buy milk

Having a night out with friends tonight . V excited.
