gem1981 Due in August with DC2 a surprise(my DD was an August baby too) Hope everything goes well with your October baby. Is this your 1st ?

Overall I have done very little today. General tidy and hoovering and that is it.

I needed to do the ironing, but iron is nacked, saw this post nagged DH into buying it for me and ordered one this afternoon. I hate ironing, so anything that will cut down on the time needed gets a big vote in my eyes. Luckily DH has been working overtime to pay for our Doula, so poor love will have to work more overtime to cover the new iron, plus it is my offical birthday present...Arggh a domestic appliance for a present still very practical and needed.

Evening all

Well I took the boys with me and they were really well behaved.

Mum is at my house for now, after a massive dose of IV steriods and also loads of oral ones for the next month and a half. I need to make her an appointment with the collitis man as she admitted she has not been since dad died (8 years in November)

She had a bit of a meltdown in the hospital - all woe is me, I am useless and all that. I put her back in her place and told her to pull herself together and that it is not the end of the world. We are all alive - just

So no flying except to wash and change DS1s bed from his coughing accident lastnight. I was so tired that I just put him in with us

tmh glad your dc were well behaved at the hospital, must have been a releif for you.
hope your mum is better soon

TheMadHouse · 27/05/2008 20:19

Dyls - They can be when they need to be. I just hate dragging them with me. I found out that my MIL actually had my Neice who is 6 instead. We are not that happy and feel very put out, espeically as my SIl was in but in bed as she had worked nights the night before.

I was feeling second best to dogs and now DH is feeling rather put out, espeically as MIL looked after niece from 6 months when SIL went back to work full time untill she started school familys

dylsmum1998 · 27/05/2008 20:53

tMH its horrible when you and your dc feel second best isnt it. especially when its for something important such s hospital appointments.
families are very annoying sometimes arent they!
