grouchyoscar · 27/05/2008 11:42

Morning

Wasn't it nice of Dame to remember my birthday ! Nah, he's too sweet to pinch. Congrats to all.

DONE so far

Strip our bed
Empty DW
Put away
Load and run WM
Empty amd sort for drying
Take upstairs for hanging
Load WM and run
Re-organise stuff stuck to fridge door

To Do

Make lunch
Entertain Ed (in office with a school friend atm)
Do the ironing

I'm going no where today, it's weeing down here and I'm feeling decidedly middle aged and large and lardy so I better stear clear of the heap of choccies and get something constructive done.

I better frame myself and get out of my Jim Jams

Still no one to look after the boys - so I guess they will be coming with me.

I am just sorting out lunch and the boys are tearing each other to schreads

grouchyoscar · 27/05/2008 12:04

Wish you weren't so far away or I'd have them for you TMH

grouchyoscar · 27/05/2008 15:14

Made the bed
Tackled a hotspot in the kitchen
Sorted out clean dry washing and put it away
Taken general stuff to attic for storage.

I think I've got something. I feel hot/sweaty/cold/clammy, exhausted, quivery, exhausted, nausious, I have 2 U6's year olds in the house and a huge pile of ironing to do

I love my life

Ludaloo · 27/05/2008 15:57

Back from town, kids had fun at the play area. DD1 has gone to her friends to play, DD2 is eating mini sausages and DS is watch tv.

I have had a quick tidy up, and done some more washing.

I'm really having a big mardy about how skint we are......I followed the car of my dreams all the way into town, I couldn't afford to buy DD2 a new car seat and the kids have been nagging me for a pair of Crocs each....went to Brantano's and discovered they are £20 each!!!
I know they sell copies of them very cheap in other shops, but we hunted high and low and couldn't find the right sizes for all 3 of them....of course, the Crocs in Brantano's had every size and colour known to man, and the kids faces lit up when they thought they had finally found some that might fit....and I had to side step them very quickly back out the shop again!

BiancaCastafiore · 27/05/2008 16:03

Luda what size feet does dd1 have? We have dds crocs from last year which may fit her...Any chance you're on MSN for a chat? (haven't had a chat on MSN for ages)

I've been to work and been again at having to do everyone elses jobs instead of my own. It looks as though I may have to work an evening to do the work I was really supposed to do today.

Kids have been tired and whingy all afternoon. Dd and I have been trying to do a huge puzzle she got for her birthday (1000 pieces) but we've had to take a break now so they're both on the upstairs computer while I have some peace and think about supper [bad mummy]

cold callers just tried to sell me new gas and electric. I told them I wasnt interested and cut the call short.

"who was that mummy"
"someone trying to sell me something. I wasnt interested though"
"But mummy.....you LOVE buying things"

continues...

"yes but it was electricity and we already buy that from someone"
" oh, that's boring. Not like the things you like to buy then"

she knows me so well

gem1981 · 27/05/2008 17:11

BiancaCastafiore · 27/05/2008 17:25

lol FGS

grouchyoscar · 27/05/2008 17:57

for Luda It's awful being skint. I got Ed a pair of crocs (copies) from Tesco for £5 and they look like they'll do him for summer

RR We got a food centre (huge American fridge and freezer) with my last bonus from work. Fingers crossed it will last us a few more years. It was shiny silver but now it is covered in Ed's school stuff (drawings, writing, certificates, star charts, school holiday lists)

Hello again

I've now DONE

Big basket of ironing
Made Ed's tea
Tidy the kitchen
Tidy the front room

DH finishes at 6 and he can take over when he gets in cos I feel like death simmered slowly

Tomorrow Ed has a GP appointment then we'll pop up to the shopping centre to get him some handwriting pens.

so had cleaned the downstairs hoovered
but since then DS2 has come in through the french window with a bucket of sand tipped it out and walked round the room in muddy wellies.
Some days I wonder wft I bother.

dylsmum1998 · 27/05/2008 18:07

evening all.
luda sorry to hear you are skint. its not nice when you have to say no to dc is it?
fgs kids know so much about us its frightening!
gem how's the revision going?

i've been inbto town and got presents for my neice and the little boy my cm looks after, his bday tomorrow.
thought i'd got my neice a super great present, i bought her those adjustable fisher price inline skates, text my sis to let her know to expect a parcel in next couple of days will post in morning, and she already has some my fault for buying without checking. so now need to take them back and find something else instead.
i bought some for dd too as they were on sale, she loves them skates around living room holding just one of my hands. she wanted to skate to her brother, but he's staying a couple of miles away at aunties tonight, she wasnt impressed when i told her i wasnt going to let her attempt to skate that far! she's now fallen asleep on living room floor so i'm gonna have a late night!

FunkyGlassSlipper · 27/05/2008 18:48

Ruby - Put them on radiator in their bedroom instead. Then fridge will remain beautiful
