Ruby - that sounds great! Dont put any more in or all the mums will be mortified and wonder how they can possibly meet that standard when it is their turn

damewashalot · 15/05/2008 13:38

Well done fgs

Sounds plenty to me ruby, tshirts are a lovely idea, we are drowning in tat from party bags

gem1981 · 15/05/2008 13:42

damewashalot · 15/05/2008 13:43

Ha Ha!! that is soooooo beyend my technical abilities, even if I had a camera in the house, which I don't as DH takes it with him when travelling around(he's quite a keen photographer hence the various shots of my bump) and we only have his very posh slr camera which I've had the odd go with but was asked by my 6yr old the other day if I was allowed to be touching Daddies camera

damewashalot · 15/05/2008 13:44

Doh, Daddy's even, it so bugs me when people do that

Afternoon all

I am back from the hospital regarding the mastectomy and reconstruction and the platics consultant was lovley. If I love 18kg then I can have the transflap one where they take it from your tummy and give you a tummy tuck at the same time. He said due to my body shape I am an idea candidiate. He also reconds that I will lose another 2kg from each breast during the surgery.

If I do not manage to lose the weight then it is implants. I can not have the back muscle ones done as my body shape is not ideal for it.

So it looks like it will go ahead october time ish if I start losing now.

I am back to see him in 4 weeks and he will take photos and show me how I might look - scars and all.

I am going to try and lose the weight as it is going to be a long operation at least 12 hours so being fitter is better.

damewashalot · 15/05/2008 14:17

Glad that's all sounding positive

I have a little boy that was very tired but will not go to bed in the day anymore, fast asleep on a beanbag in front of ITNG

Going to tidy the hall now, as much as I can and try and make the living room look a little better.

TMH - That all sounds very good! It's quite a lot of weight to lose though. Do you have a plan?

TheMadHouse · 15/05/2008 14:33

Ruby I am happy - with him and with all really

FGS No plan as of yet. I am going to start by not nibbling the boys leftovers

Ludaloo · 15/05/2008 14:58

Hello

BB www.raceforlifesponsorme.org/ludaloo link for you]]

I have just been to the shop to pick up my Avon brochures I left with the girls in there AND THERE IS SOMEONE ELSE DOING IT!!!! HOW VERY DARE THEY!!!!!
She had left one of hers in there. Only good thing is that they have already just ordered from me.
Tut....
I have competition now!!!

Ludaloo · 15/05/2008 14:59

link for you

Try again!

Ludaloo · 15/05/2008 15:19

TMH I can recommend Slimming World (she says...eating a crisp sandwich )
Its one of the easiest diets to follow that I have tried (and I have tried a fair few!)
I have currently swayed a bit from dieting.....I tend to do it for so long and then get bored/tempted back to junk!

I am going to be starting again very soon, as I did so well I don't want to pile any more back on.
I was 11 stone 6lb when I started in January....I'm 10stone 3lb now. I'd like to get to 9 stone 6lb ideally....that would be a loss of 2 stone in total, which I hope will stop me putting any more back on!

Your whole operation sounds very good. The consultant does sound very helpful and reassuring. I guess that puts your mind at rest a bit.
If you want to have a go at slimming down a bit...I'll join you for some moral support however you decide to do it

Bewilderbeast · 15/05/2008 15:23

Washing hung up
Will to live well and truly lost table now has dent in it from all the headbanging. Working from home is great for the old work life balance thing but it's crap from a motivational point of view. I don't even have the constant barrage of emails to distract me

Ludaloo · 15/05/2008 15:28

BB my dh has that problem...constantly distracted so I usually have to take the kids out....even then he rarely concentrates!

gem1981 · 15/05/2008 15:56

damewashalot · 15/05/2008 16:06

Not sure what I think about the house swap thing, think I'd be to stressed by having to get my house perfect and spotless for them but a lot of people do it and it works so if you re ok with the concept then why not?

Back from school run, bribing my children with promises of playing on the wii if they tidy for me and maybe some cookies too!

Hall is a bit better, living and playroom tidyig now.

dylsmum1998 · 15/05/2008 16:23

gem i would swap, then you have saved the money to do something else with.
although i think as dame has said i would be panicking between now and then wanting everything to be perfect, but i would assume the other person involved feels the same.

have re-tidyed the living room
dinner is nearly cooked
the dc have gone off to play in the bedsrooms, so will prob need to redo those as well at some point today

scattyspice · 15/05/2008 16:37

Hi all.

Have been busy at work so no lunch break!

Dcs decided to do painting after school, so have spent last 30mins cleaning up paint (DD kept wondering off to play with something then going back to paint so managed to get paint everywhere). I'm sure messy play is good for kids - but it doesn't do anything for me!

Need to fold and sort laundry and go food shopping after tea.
Have done Ds homework .

gem1981 · 15/05/2008 17:08

thanks guys
think i am going to go for it - they sound like a nice retired couple

TMH I second slimming world - very good diet, I lost loads of weight on this after I had DS - will prob go back on it after I have given birth.

Hoovering now done.
Tea is on the stove waiting for DH to come back from work.
mission also done.
