Morning All

HN Just reading your post from last night....I'm really pleased the doctor may have finally found an explanation, hopefully this will lead to a solution
You sound very tired though, which is totally understandable. You seem to be doing a marvellous job, you should be very proud of yourself xx

Hopefully I am at home this morning....I need to do yesterday's mission quite urgently! Clothes piles are taking over!!!!

Moring Luda , thanks for the thread.

NH glad ds1's probs have been recognised. Hope you get the help you/he needs from now on x

Ds seems better so will be off to school with dd soon. I still have tummy cramps so don't feel great.

I have loads to get done before the weekend so will be back once the kids are at school with a proper list - I must try to get and stay motivated today! HELP!

Rainy here this morning, a shame after yesterday but at least I won't be tempted to sit in the garden when I should be getting the house back on track.

Back soon x

Luda - still babystepping? Its helping me. Got DH helping too

TheMadHouse · 23/04/2008 09:01

Morning all

I am so tired, the anemia is definatly catching up with me.

But morning routine has been done and there is a bolegnease in the slow cooker.

Anyway we are swimming this morning then lunch
DS1 to preschool
DS2 to bed
Mummy to Fly
Ironing

DS1 has a playdate next door after school (it is lovley they get on so well, she is coming up 5 and he is only 3, but they really seem to play well together)

Then Dinner

DH is doing the bath and bed stuff tonight as I am doing the weekley shop this evening rather than tomorrow, as I have my neice (2.11), as well as both the boys at soft play and stuff.

So I will have a 3.1. 2.11 and a 22 month old - yes I am totally mad, but my brother never asks for help.

EHM Tabloe is great, we have a little plastic one, we may upgrade when we have more pennies

Luda I am so pleased about the move. I posted yesterday about laminate, you will love it

Hi all
Sorry to post and run

Am going to borrow Bianca's list (with a few alterations sorry jas I don't have a parcel to send you )or a party to arrange but otherwise it all needs doing !

Have a good day all

(btw where HAS the nice weather gone???)

DontDreamItBeIt · 23/04/2008 09:47

Morning all dylsmum - Your day yesterday sounds lovely. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

HN - I made us late for school after googling PDA and reading about it. It is no wonder you've had such adifficult time. All the strategies most people wold suggest to deal with ds1s behaviour seem to be the absolute opposite to the things that will help. I'm glad he's finally gt a diagnosis, and someone who knows how to help him (and YOu)

Babyjj I hope things go as well as possible at the vets today.

TMH I read your list of bands yesterday with a I have heard of almost all of them, and seen about 1/2 of them live Seems a lifetime ago now.

EHM - Very cute table set

Ludaloo - Thanks for the thread.

Bianca I will join you today in a big push on the FLY front. I'm going to finish my morning list, and then get downstairs tidy (I did alot on Monday so downstairs shouldn't take too long). Back at 11 for a cup of tea and progress report?

DontDreamItBeIt · 23/04/2008 09:52

It took me so long to post that, I xposted.
Thanks EHM....not really better, but better than I was IYSWIM. I'm going to keep busy and try and take y mind off the impending dentist trip.

Saga No parcel fo me??
I hung out the nappies I washed last night at 7am, and put another load of washing on as I was expecting it to be nice again.....it has been raining for the past 1.5 hours.

TheMadHouse · 23/04/2008 09:53

jas In know it was just another lifetime ago. We used to love music and gigs etc, especially the festivals, but not so easy to do when you have two toddlers. Also I hated it when pregnant.

I think the closest we will get it too Bob the bUilder Live in June

sagacious · 23/04/2008 10:07

We have sunshine here...with showers, but it is still nice and warm.

TMH Thank you for your cleaning tips for laminate....I will keep an eye out for the cleaner...I also need to buy a mop!
Good luck will all the little ones!

FGS I am mostly doing the babysteps...some of them I have skipped, but they really do help you focus don't they. Well done on getting your DH to join in too!

Bianca Good luck with that list! I'll keep my fingers crossed for good weather for the weekend

Dream I am not feeling too good today...have a bit of a grumbly gut Hope you feel better soon.

My DH wants me to phone our landlord just to make sure there isn't any chance we can buy this house in the future.....he doesn't want to move next door if there is a chance we could stay here and buy. I can see his point...but TBH the pro's and cons of each house are quite even.....and I personally think next door is slightly better. If we stayed here for example we would have to redecorate...recarpet...
I am sure our landlord told us he was keeping the house for his DD's....(he has 2 teenagers) So I am secretly hoping he says no!!!

grouchyoscar · 23/04/2008 10:45

Morning ALL

It was 3 in a bed round Grouchy's last night. Ed had a cough and had settled in our bed. I feel like I've slept on the clothes horse!

Managed to get going and

Up
Showered
Downstairs to start brekkie
S&S worktops
Serve brekkie
Upstairs for teeth cleaning
Get dressed
Load DW and run
Get (unco-operative) Ed dressed
Take him to school
Home

Had a disaster this morning, the outflow pipe for the DW got dislodged and emptied into the cupboard. EEEK. DH did the mopping and I'm in the middle of washing the contents of the cupboard (pots n pans really. Thing is it needed tackling anyway and I had no plans for today (except restring a guitar )

TMH I've seen far to many bands to recall them all. Best have been Bjork, Flaming Lips, Beck, Oasis, Boo Radleys, Super Furies, oh my mind has gone blank. I think festivals are a no no for us now but take the DSs, they love it.

Off to empty the DW and reload (again)

DontDreamItBeIt · 23/04/2008 11:04

My festival going days were a long time pre children I was at Reading in the late 80s, but dp and I have no overlap at all in musical taste
LOL@ Bob The Builder

GO My washing machine did that once, but I was out, and ended up having to replace most of the downstairs carpets as a result. Lucky you were in to notice it.

Good luck with your landlord Ludaloo. I hope you feel better soon.

I have finished my morning routine, and done 15 minutes each in the dds rooms, plusdone some toy sorting for ds, and got new things out for him to play with downstairs.

Nappies are now wetter than when I hung them out. It is still chucking it down.
DP is working outside laying decking today (Not here, but he is also getting very wet.

Dentist just rang and tried to put me off as they have an emergency.... how can you need an emergency appointment with the hygienist? I refused to be put off and told them they wold have to pay for my childcare if they cancelled. (Sounds mean, but I have had to pay in advance and was told if I cancelled with less than 2 days notice I would lose my money)

I'm going to hoover and then stop for an early lunch.

FunkyGlassSlipper · 23/04/2008 11:14

I just went shopping to get DD1 some slippers and pyjamas.

We got a Macca pacca romper suit for DD2!
A little bag for DD2!
Some party sandals for DD1 (will need to check fit later)
1 pair of pyjamas for DD1
2 Summer dresses for DD1
And a little romper suit for friend's baby.

So I still need slippers and a few more pairs of pyjamas .

Of course I blame DD2 who stomped and squealed around the shop and shouted at me until I saw what delightful thing she had found.

Ludaloo · 23/04/2008 11:23

AAARRRRGGGGHHHHH! Just when I think things are finally on the up....why oh why do I bother!

Just spoke to my dad.....a while ago he and his wife offered us £15k to help as a deposit for a house. At the time we had to say "Thanks but we are not in a position to buy" DH had just gone self employed and I had just fallen pregnant with our 3rd baby, house prices had gone through the roof.....no way we were going to get a mortgage.

DH and I have obviously been discussing buying next door...when I am back earning etc. A few years down the line but still.
We decided to ask dad if their offer still stood.

After a big silence and a lot of um's and ar's it appears their offer wasn't what we thought!
They meant it as an investment for them really....that they would help with the deposit but the house had to be somewhere they could use....or it had to come with land they could put a static home or something!!

So basically..."Have £15k, and then find a house big enough for us to have a granny flat or caravan, so we can come there when we are old and need looking after!!!!!!"

Do they really not understand the house prices!!?? DH and I would need to be brain surgeons or something to be able to afford that kind of house!!
Or a lottery win!

We will be scraping the barrel to buy the ex-council house as it is....with no land or diddly!

What a stupid offer in the first place!!

So now we have found that we will have to buy with no deposit!

Even though we couldn't buy for a good few years anyway...it is still a bit of a blow.

[sigh]

OP posts:
Ludaloo · 23/04/2008 11:28

That sounded very ungrateful didn't it

Just its a PITA to find an offer that would have made a huge difference, comes with such impossible conditions!
