Oddly satisfying chores

I've just used my new Vax carpet cleaner. Not only the joy of a cleaner carpet...

But seeing the colour if the water it sucked up was very satisfying!

Plus the newly organised stuff going back into place.

Anyone else or havecI gone mad(der).

Cleaning the bathroom (just finished), but satisfaction doesn't last long as it doesn't take long for it to get dirty again!

Hair out of the plug hole. Descaling things.

Polishing brass doorknobs! 😍

Putting washing on the airer to dry especially if it can go in the garden.
Cleaning the toilet with large Dettol wipes then putting bleach down.

Folding all washing into neat rectangles. Bliss.

Mould remover, specially mould magic. I love doing my shower seals with it. Works like a dream.

Did the living room furniture at the weekend. Was wondering if I could fit in a room during my lunch break today, but pissing about on MN instead.

For me it was Marie Kendo-ing my clothes

3 years later and my clothes still fit where they should and deciding what to wear is a doddle

Does this work on the inside seal of a washing machine??

Pressure washing the patio. It looks like those before and after ads you see on TV.

Hoovering! I dislike everything else lol

Loading the dishwasher. Closing it. Starting it.

Then follows the blissful time of it doing its work.

(And then I have to empty it. Which I think is super boring).

I got this brush that has a detachable head for the toilet. It’s really satisfying for me to use it cos ds keeps leaving skid marks

Cleaning grooves and edges of things with a skewer with a wipe or cloth over it.

Dusting things that you rarely dust, like the tops of doors, is for some reason very satisfying.

Putting the doormat in the washing machine.

Watching the Eufy travel around the ground floor. I love it ❤️

Spray mops - what a revelation! I never really mopped regularly before.

I quite enjoy ironing but only do it occasionally for linen or going out items.

I know, right? I'm inordinately proud of being able to do the fitted sheet folding trick.

Pairing up the odd socks. I deliberately let them pile up so I can do loads together

I've now cultivated a zen like quality when not every odd one can be teamed with its pal!

I don't like the noise the Hoover makes, but seeing the quick change from before and after a quick run around with it is very satisfying. Also taking the lint out of the dryer filter feels like a fast fix.

How old is your DS. From around 8 people in this house were responsible for cleaning their own.

Oh the kids do it now too. They seem to enjoy it as much as I do as there is a fight to see who can do it

I enjoy doing the laundry.

Wiping all the wooden furniture down, it doesn't look all that different, but it feels different when I walk back into the room. Cleaner.

Washing big stuff that doesn't get washed often, and managing to dry it the same day, like a duvet, curtain, mat...
